Abstract

This article discussed the development of technology information which has incorporated the most things in life, Internet technology is one of them. The Internet is recognized not only as channel for one-to-one communication, but also as one-to-many communication. Other than that, because of Internet technology, one can broadcast anything for everyone to watch. Facebook is one of the platform which become most popular social media who can broadcast videos by using feature “Facebook Gaming” that will allow anyone to broadcast themselves while playing games. According to data showed in July 2019, Indonesia was the second largest country in watching live broadcast gamers online. Using qualitative approach and descriptive method, this article described about communication context carried out by these live gamers to their audience. Result showed live gamers not only doing mass communication, but also doing interpersonal communication context in which gave space between communicator and communicant that they are discussed things more than just about the games.Keywords: Live Streaming, Internet, Media Social, Interactive Communication

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ingin mengetahui strategi manajemen krisis yang digunakan oleh public relations KPAI kemudian untuk mengetahui hambatan yang dihadapi oleh public relations dan seperti apa bentuk dukungan yang diterima oleh KPAI selama pelaksanaan manajemen krisis. Teori yang digunakan yaitu Teori Situasional Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) atau teori komunikasi krisis situasional, yaitu menghubungkan antara strategi respons krisis dengan situasi krisis di mana organisasi merangkai strategi respons krisis sebagai jawaban untuk menyelamatkan reputasinya. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian adalah strategi manajemen krisis yang dilakukan oleh public relations KPAI yaitu melakukan rapat internal, melangsungkan konferensi pers serta membuat press release yang kemudian media mempublikasikannya.

Abstract

In PLN East Java Distribution, it is known that the role of Public Relations is a major key in solving the problem of a company or organization given that the PLN East Java Distribution is the provider of electricity for corporate, residential, hotel, and others. This study has the objective to analyze the roles of Public Relations of PLN East Java Distribution in handling customer complaints, by using Public Relations model approach namely two-way asymmetric. This study used a qualitative research method with descriptive approaches: case study, interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis using Interactive analysis models called Miles and Huberman. The results in this study Public Relations PLN East JavaDistribution bridging communications with customers using multiple media such as printed media, social media, and electronic media in response to customer complaints

Abstract

game World of Warcraft Classic (WoW Classic), a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) game version which is one of the World of Warcraft game version released on 26 August 2019. This study uses several qualitative research methods, namely participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and studies of previous studies. The results of this study indicate that the popularity of Faerlina US tends to be driven by the popularity of twitch.tv streamers who play on these servers. This research also shows that Faerlina has also become popular because it is interesting to be a place to conduct economic activities such as selling virtual items and conducting gold-virtual currency transactions into real money. Keywords: MMORPG; WoW Classic; Twitch.tv; Game Server; Faerlina

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the use of Instagram as a media of preaching by KH. Mustofa Bisri or Gus Mus, as well as a visual interpretation of the depth of the da’wah material obtained by users. As a kiai, as well as a humanist, he tries to combine the method of da’wah with the art of exploratory communication, without being patronizing. This study uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques and observations of some of Gus Mus’s Instagram followers. The method used in this research is Van Leeuwen’s multimodality analysis. Multimodality refers to the way people communicate using several semiotics of fashion in product design such as visuals, audiovisuals, texts, as well as activities such as engagement on likes, comments, or reposts on Instagram. Multimodality refers to three systems of analysis, namely information value, salience, and framing.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to know the role of tourist ambassadors in the formation of the image of Palu City after the natural disasters through Instagram. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach withdrawal of informant using purposive sampling. Research findings show that in the effort to build imagery through Instagram, the main thing that is done by tourist ambassadors (Randa'a ante Kabilasa) is by changing the perception of society as a follower through the publication of various kinds of information/content both in the form of images, texts, and videos about the city of Palu affected by natural disasters but able to rise to a better change, i.e. the activity of public that return to normal in the field of economics and culture. Furthermore, the improvement of land road infrastructure, air (airport) and the sea (port) is the main focus of the government. Keywords: Instagram, Imagery, Natural Disasters, Palu City

Abstract

Penulis melihat permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi oleh Karang Taruna di antaranya karena kurangnya edukasi yang didapat di sekolah, di masyarakat, dan di rumah. Selain itu, kemudahan dalam mengakses aplikasi atau situs pornografi serta kurangnya pengawasan dari orang tua atau guru menjadi latar belakang diterapkannya aplikasi keamaan internet dari konten pornografi ini. Kegiatan ini berwujud pelatihan yang dilaksanakan selama dua hari, yakni materi pengenalan dasar menggunakan aplikasi, menganalisis aplikasi dan media yang digunakan untuk mengakses pornografi, serta penerapan aplikasi keamanan internet. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Hasilnya, para peserta dari Karang Taruna mendapatkan wawasan dalam penggunaan handphone dan komputer agar dapat menjaga mereka dalam ancaman konten pornografi, mampu menggunakan aplikasi untuk mengelola konten pornografi pada handphone dan komputer yang dapat dimonitor.

Abstract

Health literacy is one of the important sosial determinants to improve health and well-being. The results of health literacy can be beneficial for health professionals to understand the concept of intervention. The study objective was to determine the level of health literacy, sosial determinants and access to health information for first year students. 49 men and 76 women first year students volunteered to participate in completing HLS-SF-Q12. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate (Mann-Whitney test). The results showed no significant relationship between sosial determinant variabels with health literacy, the highest domain of literacy level in health promotion, and health information was one of the topics most rarely accessed. It is suggested that the use of campus media to improve the health literacy domain of vocational student health care. Access to information can be acessed through various media appropriate to students' socio-culture.

Abstract

This research is conducted with the aim of knowing the impact of the Instagram account @visitbogor to the interest in visiting the followers, knowing the effects of uploading natural travel photos on a visiting interest of followers, knowing the impact of Instagram account @visitbogor and uploading of natural travel photos to the interest of visiting followers. This research samples a total of 400 respondents with purposive sampling techniques filtered on the basis of certain criteria. The study uses the S-O-R theory. The data analysis methods in this study used multiple linear regression analyses and hypothesis testing using the T test and F test with the help of SPSS version 22. Acquired regression coefficient value Y = 2.160 + 0.163 X1 + 0.720 X2, relationship level correlation value is said to be strong because it exists at a 0.60-0,799 interval of 0.730 with a percentage of 73% coefficient of determination value of 0.533 which means that 53.3% of visiting interest in followers is influenced by the Instagram account is presented @visitbogor and upload of nature tourism photos with H1 received based on the results of Thitung (2.195) Ttabel (1.966) on a 0.05. H2 received according to Thitung (20.230) Ttabel (1.966) on sig α = 5% with sig value of 0.000 0.05. H3 is received based on the result of Fcalculate (226.196) Ftabel (3.86) on a sig α = 5% with a sig value of 0.000 0.05. The results showed a significant influence between the variables of the Instagram account's cast @visitbogor and the uploading of natural tourist photos of the followers ' visiting interests.Keywords: Instagram Account, Photo Uploads of Nature Attractions, Visiting Interests, S-O-R theory

Abstract

Berbagai macam akun mempublikasikan video dengan beragam konsep, ada yang berisi games, ada yang belisi vlog, dan juga ada yang berisi ceramah. Dalam makalah ini, peneliti akan membahas isi ceramah yang dibawakan oleh Ustaz Khalid tentang isu-isu gender, seperti perbedaan antara laki-laki dan perempuan serta karakteristik seorang laki-laki terhadap perempuan. Tiga tayangan diambil sebagai sampel dan dianalisis menggunakan teori wacana kritis Norman Fairclough yang menawarkan konsep tiga dimensi di dalamnya, yakni tekstual, wacana, dan sosial. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah dari ketiga video tersebut, Ustaz Khalid berusaha menanamkan ideologi dalam masyarakat. Hal tersebut sejalan dengan sistem kekeluargaan patriarki yang dianut oleh mayoritas masyarakat di Indonesia.
