Aksara merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Batanghari dan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini merupakan jurnal penelitian yang mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian asli, studi kepustakaan, dan tulisan terkait dengan fokus pada kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, kajian bahasa dan kajian sastra. Semua artikel ditinjau oleh 4 orang reviewer, 2 orang reviewer internal dan 2 orang reviewer eksternal. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun setiap bulan April dan bulan September, jurnal aksara ini dapat diakses pembaca, jurnal aksara ini berisi hasil penelitian pustaka maupun hasil penelitian lapangan. Jurnal ini meliputi beberapa ranah Ilmu sebagai berikut: 1. Kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia meliputi bidang pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa, pembelajaran linguistik, pembelajaran semantik, pembelajaran pragmatik, pembelajaran wacana, pembelajaran sosiolinguistik, pembelajaran psikolinguistik serta pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa, pembelajaran fiksi, pembelajaran drama. 2. Kajian Bahasa Indonesia meliputi: fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, analisis wacana, semantik, pragmatik, sosiolinguistik, psikolinguistik, bahasa dan budaya, dialektologi, dokumentasi bahasa, serta bidang keilmuan lain yang berkaitan dengan kajian kebahasaan. 3. Kajian Sastra Indonesia meliputi: sastra lisan dan sastra modern berupa kajian puisi, prosa fiksi dan drama.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the image of women as children in the novel Cinta di Ujung Sajadah by Asma Nadia, which refers to three aspects, namely: the aspect of tenderness, compassion, and patience. This research includes a qualitative descriptive study. Qualitative descriptive understanding is a type of research used to understand phenomena experienced by research subjects by describing them in the form of words and languages using data from research results in a novel. The data in the novel is in the form of excerpts from the aspects of tenderness, compassion, and patience in the character of Cinta in the novel Cinta di Ujung Sajadah by Asma Nadia. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the image of women as children contained in the novel Cinta di Ujung Sajadah by Asma Nadia consists of three aspects, namely: aspects of tenderness, compassion, and patience, which occurred as many as fifty-six quotations contained in the novel Cinta di Ujung Sajadah. The most dominant aspect is the aspect of patience, being patient of complaints and anger in carrying out God's command, which is found from twenty-two expressions. The second dominant aspect is the aspect of tenderness found from 20 expressions, in which tenderness is a feeling that a person has to speak the word meekly towards others. Furthermore, a little dominant aspect that is compassionate found as many as fourteen expressions in the daily life of compassion which can be interpreted as attitudes and behaviours that reflect the element of giving attention. Thus in this research, there are fifteen expressions of compassionate aspect found.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the types of coordinative conjunctions and subordinate conjunctions in the online magazine Jendela Pendidikan dan kebudayaan 45th July 2020. The method used in this research is the qualitative descriptive method. This research's data is in the form of sentence excerpts containing coordinative conjunctions and subordinate conjunctions in an online magazine. The data source is a document from the 45th edition, July 2020 issue of Jendela Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan magazine. The data collection techniques used is documentation. Data analysis was conducted by using Chaer theory (2015) related to coordinative conjunctions and subordinate conjunctions. The results show nine types of coordinative conjunctions including (summation, selection, opposition, correction, affirmation, restriction, sequencing, equalization, and summing) and seven types of subordinate conjunctions (causation, requirements, objectives, highlighting, timing, engagement, and comparison). Based on the data analysis, the researcher concluded that the more dominant conjunction found was coordinative conjunction following the substance of the magazine profile that is communicative.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the messages of da'wah in the novel Mengejar Cinta Halal by Prima Mutiara about aspects of aqidah consisting of five elements, namely faith in Allah SWT, belief in angels, belief in the Books, faith in the prophets, faith in Qadha and Qadar. This research includes a type of descriptive research that is qualitative with a structural approach. The data in this study is verbal data in the form of words, dialogues and sentences in the form of paragraphs, both containing the messages of da'wah contained in the novel Mengejar Cinta Halal by Prima Mutiara. Furthermore, the conclusions are listed each of the problems in the form of quotations contained in the novel. From the results of the research can be concluded that in the novel Mengejar Cinta Halal by Prima Mutiara, there are 54 quotations on aspects of aqidah, the details of which are faith in Allah SWT of 43 quotations, faith in angels is 1 quotation, faith in the Books is 4 quotations. Moreover  faith in the Apostles are not found, and faith in Qadha and Qadar is 6 quotations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe an error in using effective sentences based on the criteria of effective sentences in the descriptive writing of class VII A students of SMP Negeri 06 Jambi city academic year 2020/2021. This research is qualitative descriptive. The data in this research is in the form of sentences, words that do not fit the criteria of effective sentences. This data is obtained from the descriptive writing of class VII A students of SMP Negeri 06 Jambi city. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that there was an error in the use of effective sentences in the descriptive writing of class VII A students of SMP Negeri 06 Jambi city academic year 2020/2021 based on four criteria of effective sentences, namely the criteria of completeness, alignment, frugality and variety. Of the four criteria of effective sentences, the least description of the student error found in using effective completeness while the most dominant error is in the criteria of frugality. From the results of this research, researcher suggests that students need to pay more attention in writing effective sentences. It is recommended that students pay more attention to effective sentences in essays and other writings.

Abstract

In the Indonesian History textbook, there are direct and indirect refusal sentences. It is said directly if the sentence conveyed can be understood as a refusal, such as a word no when it is uttered, then the sentence has described the refusal; if the sentence has an ambiguous or unclear meaning, then it is said as indirect refusal. This research aims to describe the sentence of refusal by using the word no or equivalent, reasons, conditions, suggestions or choices, and comments. The research was conducted by using a qualitative descriptive method. The data was collected by using the documentation technique. This research found five forms of refusal sentences include refusal by using the word no or equivalent, refusal by using reason, refusal by using terms, refusal by using proposals or choices, refusal by using comments. Thus, it can be concluded that an invitation, offer and request are not always fulfilled so that a refusal speech occurs, a refusal can be spoken based on the form so as not to be disappointed.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the rhymes in the lyrics of the song Silampukau album Dosa Kota dan Kenangan by Kharis Junandharu and Eki Tresnowening. This song by Silampukau was chosen because the lyrics have a unique building element, namely, rhyme. The method used is the descriptive method of analysis through the structural approach. This study illustrates that seven types of rhymes in the lyrics of the song, namely, the initial rhyme includes the title of the song, Balada Harian, such as Tik Tok jam dering alarm/ Tik Tok jam dering alarm. The middle rhyme includes in the title of the song Bola Raya like kami hanya main bola/ kami hanya main bola. The final rhyme includes in the title of the song Malam Di Surabaya such as ganas/ beringas. The even rhyme covers on the title of the song Bola Raya such as, Akta/ lainnya/ bola/ dakwa. The intermittent rhyme includes on the song, Balada Harian such as Alarm/ terhindarkan/ alarm/ perlahan. The compund rhyme includes on the title of the song Bola Raya such as, hijau/ terjangkau/ gedung/ buntung and the folded rhyme includes in the title of the song Sang Juragan such as, datang/ terpinggirkan/ minuman/ datang

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the STALAKMID model in the students’ skill of reading news text. This class action research was conducted in 2 cycles with the research subjects of class VIII D students of SMP 5 Muaro Jambi academic year  2013/2014. Each cycle consists of two meetings. In each cycle, students are listening to news footage. Based on the learning that has been implemented, it can be known that the STALAKMID model is effective to help students in reading news text. This can be seen from the learning process that went smoothly and followed by students in earnest. Based on the students' assessment, which includes several indicators such as the ability to mark news texts, improvement of reading skills of news text, the average score in cycle I of 69.82, while in cycle II the average score is 74. This means that there is an improvement in learning outcomes by using the STALAKMID model.

Abstract

This research is qualitative descriptive research. Qualitative descriptive research aims to describe the form of moral values in the form of words and language from research results in a novel. The novel's data is in the form of quotations of words, sentences, and paragraphs in the novel Dear Allah by Diana Febi. The results show moral values, namely moral values in human relationships themselves, human relationships with other human beings in the social sphere with the natural environment, and human relationships with God. The moral value of a human relationship with oneself is patience, sincerity, responsibility, and courage. The moral value of a human relationship with other human beings in the social sphere with the natural environment is social care, friendship, compassion, forgiveness, help, and tolerance. The moral value of man and his God is gratitude, faith, and prayer.

Abstract

The purpose of this research describes the value of tawhid in the character of Ayyas in the novel Bumi Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, which refers to three aspects, namely: (1) aspects of the realization of the value of rububiyah tawhid, (2) aspects of the realization of the value of tawhid uluhiyah, and (3) aspects of the realization of the value of tawhid nature. This research includes qualitative descriptive research/. The data used in this research is primary data because the novel's utterances represent the aspects of the embodiment of the value of tawhid in the character of Ayyas in the novel Bumi Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Based on the results of research, it can be concluded that the value of tawhid in the character of Ayyas contained in the novel Bumi Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy refers to three aspects, namely: (1) Aspects of the realization of the value of tawhid rububiyah illustrated in the belief in the figure of Ayyas who always believed in God is God. Ayyas believed that Allah was the almighty and entitled to him. The whole aspect of the embodiment of the value of rububiyah tawhid is illustrated in 31 quotations. (2) Aspects of the image of the value of tawhid uluhiyah are depicted in the figure of Ayyas, who believes in God in the form of worship in prayer, prayer, fasting, tawakkal, repentance, love, fear, hope, and various other worships. The entirety of this aspect is illustrated in 71 quotations. (3) The realization of the value of tawhid nature is described in the actions of the figure of Ayyas, who always mentions the nature of God in every word. The entirety of this aspect is illustrated in 10 quotations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the religious values associated with the human relationship with Allah (Hablumminallah), which includes aspects of repentance, aspects of patience, aspects of gratitude, aspects of tawakal, aspects of sincerity, aspects of raja’ in the novel Surat Untuk Muslimah by Ayesha El Himah. This research is a descriptive qualitative type. Qualitative descriptive research is a research that describes an event with words or a description of the condition of the subject in a certain environment and situation. The results of this study illustrate that the religious value of the human relationship with God (Hablumminallah) includes; aspects of repentance, aspects of patience, aspects of gratitude, aspects of tawakal, aspects of sincerity, aspects of raja’ in the novel Surat Untuk Muslimah by Ayesha El Himah. (1) there are five expressions of aspect of repentance, (2) there are 24 expressions of aspect of patience, (3) there are 14 expressions of aspect of gratitude, (4) there are 16 expressions of aspect of tawakal, (5) there are 21 expressions of sincere aspect, (6) there are 31 expressions of aspect of raja’. The most dominant aspect of religious values related to human relations with Allah (Hablumminallah) in Ayesha El Himah's Novel Surat Untuk Muslimah is the aspect of raja’ which occurred 31 times. Meanwhile, the least is a repentant aspect which occurred five times. Thus, it can be concluded that the novel Surat Untuk Muslimah by Ayesha El Himah contains many religious values related to human relations with God (Hablumminallah) because this novel tells a lot about the human faith
