Aksara merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Batanghari dan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini merupakan jurnal penelitian yang mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian asli, studi kepustakaan, dan tulisan terkait dengan fokus pada kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, kajian bahasa dan kajian sastra. Semua artikel ditinjau oleh 4 orang reviewer, 2 orang reviewer internal dan 2 orang reviewer eksternal. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun setiap bulan April dan bulan September, jurnal aksara ini dapat diakses pembaca, jurnal aksara ini berisi hasil penelitian pustaka maupun hasil penelitian lapangan. Jurnal ini meliputi beberapa ranah Ilmu sebagai berikut: 1. Kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia meliputi bidang pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa, pembelajaran linguistik, pembelajaran semantik, pembelajaran pragmatik, pembelajaran wacana, pembelajaran sosiolinguistik, pembelajaran psikolinguistik serta pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa, pembelajaran fiksi, pembelajaran drama. 2. Kajian Bahasa Indonesia meliputi: fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, analisis wacana, semantik, pragmatik, sosiolinguistik, psikolinguistik, bahasa dan budaya, dialektologi, dokumentasi bahasa, serta bidang keilmuan lain yang berkaitan dengan kajian kebahasaan. 3. Kajian Sastra Indonesia meliputi: sastra lisan dan sastra modern berupa kajian puisi, prosa fiksi dan drama.

Abstract

The study describes the temporal deixis of past, present, and future in the novel “Si Anak Badai” by Tere Liye. This type of research is qualitative research with a naturalistic research method. The primary data was drawn from words, sentences, and quotations containing the temporal deixis in Tere Liye's novel “Si Anak Badai”. At the same time, secondary data was obtained from literature related to deixis. The research results obtained in the novel “Si Anak Badai” by Tere Liye consisted of 119 quotes of deixis by using Yule's preassumption theory. The form of deixis of the past was found as many as forty quotations consisting of nineteen temporal deixes of the past lalu, thirteen quotes of deixis kemarin, and eight quotations of the deixis tadi. The temporal deixis of the present is found as forty-six quotations consisting of forty-two deixis of time ini, one deixis of time itu, and three quotes of deixis sekarang. The form of future temporal deixis is found as thirty-three consist of twenty-four quotes of temporal deixis besok, two future deixes of depan, one deixis of kemudian, one deixis of time lusa, and five deixes of time nanti. Keywords: temporal deixis, novel, Si Anak Badai

Abstract

This research aims to describe the protagonist character in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. The protagonist Desi Istiqomah has eight aspects: honest, clever, clever, humble, loyal, generous, defender, and independent. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Qualitative descriptive research is intended to investigate circumstances, conditions or other things, the results presented in the form of research reports in the form of data. The data in this research is in the form of quotations in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. This research shows that there is the character of Desi Istiqomah in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the protagonist of the character Desi Istiqomah in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata found eight aspects. The most dominant element is the intelligent character of seventeen quotations. While the most minor element is loyal at two quotes. Keywords: analysis, character, protagonist, novel

Abstract

The study analyzed the novel's literary work. This research aims to describe the story's background in the novel Senja Yang Tak Tergantikan by Rahma Yuniarsih. This research is included in qualitative descriptive analysis. The data are collected from quotations related to the background of the story, namely the background of the place, time, and social, then classified into a table of classification of data, which is then analyzed according to the basis of the theory. The data is analyzed using a structural approach. Based on the data analysis results, it is known that in the novel Senja Yang Tak Tergantikan By Rahma Yuniarsih, two hundred and forty-three quotations cover three aspects: one hundred fifty-seven place, thirty-nine-time background quotes, and forty-seven social background quotes. The results obtained from this study can be concluded that the story background quotes in the novel Senja Yang Tak Tergantikan By Rahma Yuniarsih more dominantly reveal the background of the place than the time and social background quotes contained in the novel Senja Yang Tak Tergantikan By Rahma Yuniarsih. Keywords: story background, novel, Senja yang Tak Tergantikan

Abstract

This study aims to describe and document the radical feminism of Dewi Ayu in the novel Cantik Itu Luka by Eka Kurniawan. This research uses qualitative descriptive research methods, solving problems in a study by describing or describing and interpreting objects in the form of symptoms or social events in human life following the original. The results of the study covered aspects of feminism. There are 37 citations. Citations related to Physical Violence against Women there are ten quotes, Quotes related to the Exploitation of Women there are 20 quotes, Quotes related to the Role of Women of the character Dewi Ayu in the novel there are seven quotes. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that there are 37 excerpts of radical feminism studies in the novel Cantik Itu Luka by Eka Kurniawan, and the most dominant aspect in this study is the aspect of Exploitation of Women with 20 Citations.Keywords: analysis, radical feminist, novel

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the forms of transitive verbs including transitive with two nouns as arguments and realization of object and agent case, ditransitive verbs and ambitransitive verbs in the online magazine patriotik LPM Batanghari University October-December 2019 issue. This research includes qualitative descriptive. The results of the research concluded that researcher found forty-four transitive verb sentences in the online magazine patriotik LPM Batanghari University October 17- December 2019 issue. The sentences are grouped by verb forms i.e. transitive with two nouns as arguments and realization of object and agent case, ditransitive verbs and ambitransitive verbs. Based on the results of the analysis in the online magazine patriotik, there are seven transitive with two nouns as arguments and realization of object and agent cases, twenty-seven ditransitive verbs, and twenty-one ambitransitive verbs.Keywords: transitive verb, ditransitive verb

Abstract

This research aims to describe social values in the traditional marriage ceremony of the Bugis Wajo tribe in Sungai Jambat Village, Desa Tanjung Jabung Timur of Jambi Province. Researchers use qualitative descriptive methods, data collection techniques that are conducted with observation and structured interviews. In this study, data in the form and function of social values were taken from 6 informants, with the provision of samples taken based on the direction of the wind that is the original community of Sungai Jambat Village in Tanjung Jabung Timur. Analysis data is taken from using distributional methods. The results of this study show the form and function of social values in the traditional ceremony of mating Bugis Wajo tribe in the community of Sungai Jambat Village of Tanjung Jabung Timur Jambi Province includes, the form of the social value of aspects of material values, namely clothing, food, boards that can be developed again. The form of the social value of material value that is sandang pangan papan is found in 'cikcing' meaning ring, 'lawasoji' means a small house, 'bongkaliri' glutinous 4 (four) colors. The function of social values as a tool of solidarity in society and can direct the community in thinking and behaving is in the 'badek' sword means used by the bridegroom and serves as a symbol that the man must indeed fight to the woman that he is ready for the household and will protect his wife and children. 'potto naga' means to symbolize the readiness of the bride and groom to enter domestic life in a clean state. In these contacts, pacci leaves, which means pure, convey the meaning of the blessing on four main things. That is the heart: thoughts, ethics, and behavior. Keywords: literature content analysis, social value function

Abstract

This research aims to describe the kinship greetings in Desa Sawah Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Riau. The study used the qualitative descriptive method. This research data is in the form of oral speeches of kinship greeting in Desa Sawah Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Riau. Six informants become sources through the data collection technique by using the wind direction method. The results of this study are in the form of a description of the society’s kinship greeting in Desa Sawah Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Riau. The analysis found that word kinship in marriage such as Tentuo (Uncle) and Ondek Esu (Aunt). Furthermore, the word kinship greeting is based on Tak Antan (Ancestor) and Tuan (Big Brother). There are 25 words of marital kinship, while there are 16 words of the kinship of greetings. Thus the whole greetings found in the data is 41 expressions. Keywords: Kinship Greetings, Riau Malay language

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form and function of the words of the Language of Suku Anak Dalam di Desa Bukit Suban Kecamatan Air Hitam Kabupaten Sarolangun. This research uses the qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study is in the form of oral speech about greetings used to greet the speaker community in daily communication in Suku Anak Dalam di Desa Bukit Suban Kecamatan Air Hitam Kabupaten Sarolangun. The results of this research are in the form of descriptions of kinship and non-kinship greeting forms. Thus it can be said that the form of the kinship of Bahasa Suku Anak Dalam Desa Bukit Suban Kecamatan Air Hitam Kabupaten Sarolangun there are several types, namely the word direct kinship greeting in sequence such as the word "Puyang Jenton" which means great-grandfather, the term direct kinship greeting is not sequential as the word "Kakok Betina" which means sister. The word kinship is not directly marital relationship like the greeting "Obe" which means wife. As for the form of non-kin kinship greetings of Suku Anak Dalam Desa Bukit Suban Kecamatan Air Hitam Kabupaten Sarolangun there are several types, namely non-kinship greetings in general society such as the greeting word "Jengki" which means greedy people, non-kinship greetings in the field of customs such as the greeting "Tumenggung" which means the head of customs, and non-kinship greetings in the area of religion such as the greeting "Ngebang" which means people who chant the adzan.  Keywords: greetings, Anak Dalam tribe

Abstract

This study analyzed one type of literary work, the novel. This research aims to describe the values of character education in the character of Alnaira Malika Jannah in the novel Dear Allah by Diana Febi (Content Analysis). The research uses a qualitative descriptive type of research. The data collected from quotations related to aspects of character education values in the figure Alnaira Malika Jannah is further tabulated into the table of tabulation data. The next step is to analyze the data that has been collected following the theoretical foundation used with structural approaches and content analysis. Based on the results of the data analysis, it is known that the character Of Alnaira Malika Jannah in the novel Dear Allah has nine aspects of character education value which includes aspects of honest value as many as 12 citations, aspects of bold values are drawn as many as four citations, aspects of trust values are drawn as many as eight citations, aspects of wise values are drawn as many as one quote,  Aspects of shame value are illustrated as many as 29 citations, aspects of affection value are described as many as eight citations. Aspects of beautiful values are illustrated in as many as five citations. The total of the whole is 82 citations. The most dominant aspect of character education value is found in the value aspect of shame, while the minor aspect of value is the value aspect of wise.Keywords: value, educational character, character, novel, content analysis

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the persuasive form contained in the content of Jess No Limit Youtube Account, describing the persuasive form included in the video uploaded by Jess No Limit Youtube Account, and describing its implications for the Indonesian language learning for junior high school students. This study uses Searle's theory in Hermaji (2016) and is supported by other theories. The data in this study in the form of persuasive forms obtained from speech pieces expressed by jess no limit; this study uses a descriptive approach with observation techniques and continued by using the recording technique after the data is obtained then the data will be analyzed by using descriptive analysis techniques in which there are various steps to analyze this data. The results of this persuasive form of research contain 100% percentage data with data collected as much as 55 data with the following details: 19 data with a percentage of 35% persuasive speech in affirmative or representative speech, there are also 7 data with a percentage of 12% persuasive speech in the act of commissioning speech, then there is also 21 data with a percentage of 39% about persuasive speech in an expressive speech act,  In addition, there are 4 data with a percentage of 7% about persuasive speech in a directive speech act. Lastly, there are 4 data with a percentage of 7% persuasive speech in declarative speech. As a suggestion from researchers, it would be better for this study to be more in-depth and more focused on one specific study object of the five types of persuasive forms that have been in this study.Keywords: Pragmatics, Persuasive, Youtube
