Aksara merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Batanghari dan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini merupakan jurnal penelitian yang mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian asli, studi kepustakaan, dan tulisan terkait dengan fokus pada kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, kajian bahasa dan kajian sastra. Semua artikel ditinjau oleh 4 orang reviewer, 2 orang reviewer internal dan 2 orang reviewer eksternal. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun setiap bulan April dan bulan September, jurnal aksara ini dapat diakses pembaca, jurnal aksara ini berisi hasil penelitian pustaka maupun hasil penelitian lapangan. Jurnal ini meliputi beberapa ranah Ilmu sebagai berikut: 1. Kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia meliputi bidang pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa, pembelajaran linguistik, pembelajaran semantik, pembelajaran pragmatik, pembelajaran wacana, pembelajaran sosiolinguistik, pembelajaran psikolinguistik serta pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa, pembelajaran fiksi, pembelajaran drama. 2. Kajian Bahasa Indonesia meliputi: fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, analisis wacana, semantik, pragmatik, sosiolinguistik, psikolinguistik, bahasa dan budaya, dialektologi, dokumentasi bahasa, serta bidang keilmuan lain yang berkaitan dengan kajian kebahasaan. 3. Kajian Sastra Indonesia meliputi: sastra lisan dan sastra modern berupa kajian puisi, prosa fiksi dan drama.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the appropriateness of the principles of developing lesson plans for Indonesian language teachers for grade VIII at State Junior High Schools in Sumbawa with Permendikbud No. 22/2016. Teachers are guided by Permendikbud No. 22 of 2016. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were class VIII Indonesian teachers at State Junior High Schools in Sumbawa District. The object of this research is the learning implementation plan that has been designed by the teacher. The data were obtained through document analysis in the form of class VIII Indonesian language teacher lesson plans. The results showed that there were 2 teachers who were able to make lesson plans in accordance with the principles of developing lesson plans, namely teachers at SMPN 3 and teachers at SMPN 4. students encourage the enthusiasm for learning, finally the teacher of SMPN 5 is unable to formulate the principle of individual differences in students, the principle of centering on students, and the principle of applying information and communication technology.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe a personality in the novel Dikta dan Hukum by Dhia'an Farah. This research includes a qualitative descriptive research described in the findings in the form of expressions contained in the novel Dikta dan Hukum by Dhia'an Farah. The data is in the form of expressions contained in the novel Dikta dan Hukum by Dhia'an Farah. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive type of research. The approach used is qualitative. Qualitative is a research approach that the author will use in processing data. The results of this research shows the use of 9 expressions of personality in the novel Dikta dan Hukum by Dhia'an Farah. For the most dominant aspect of personality, namely the id personality found as many as 32 expressions, and the least found is the ego personality, which amounts to 12 expressions. While the superego personality occured in 18 expressions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the imagery in 12 collections of poetry Perahu Kertas by Sapardi Djoko Damono. This research belongs to qualitative descriptive research. The main data is in the form of written data in the form of quotations containing imagery elements contained in the Perahu Kertas by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The data is collected by using a literature study focused on analyzing the imagery contained in sapardi Djoko Damono's Perahu Kertas. The data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that this image is depicted in quotations contained in 12 collections of Perahu Kertas  by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The data found on five types of imagery as many as 112 data consisting of 36 vision images, 29 auditory images, 6 sniffing images, 12 touch images, and 27 motion images. The least citation found is sniffing image as many as 6 quotations. From the results of this study, it can be described that sapardi Djoko Damono's Perahu Kertas is rich of the value of literary art, using different types of imagery on its poems. This indicates that this collection of poems by Sapardi Djoko Damono is not bored to read. It brings the readers to the poems as if entering into the atmosphere of poetry created by him, which has artistic value.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the value of nationalism related to willingly sacrifice for the nation and state which includes the value of being willing to sacrifice time, energy and thoughts for the progress of the nation and state, the value of being ready to defend the nation and state from various threats, the value of actively participating in the development of society, nation and state, the value of being willing to help fellow citizens who have difficulties in the novel Anak Semua Bangsa by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. This research includes qualitative descriptive types. Qualitative descriptive research is research that describes an event with words or a picture of the state of the subject who is in a particular environment and situation. From the results of this study, it can be described that the value of nationalism is related to willingly sacrificing for the nation and state; The value of being willing to sacrifice time and thoughts for the progress of the nation and state, the value of being ready to defend the nation and state from various threats, the value of actively participating in the development of the nation and state, fond of helping fellow citizens who experience difficulties in the novel Anak Semua Bangsa  by Pramodya Ananta Toer. The value of nationalism related to willingly sacrifice for the nation and the most dominant country in the novel Anak Semua Bangsa by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, namely the value of actively participating in the development of society, nation and state as many as 23 quotations, while the value of the least value is willing to sacrifice time, energy and thoughts for the progress of the nation and state as many as 12 quotations.

Abstract

Literary works are a means of communication for the delivery of values in guidance in a customary marriage. So that the guidance conveyed by the society is able to open the minds of  listeners. This research aims to describe the types of values, namely explicit and implicit values contained in the customary marriage of the society of Lopak Alai Village, Kumpeh Ulu Subdistrict, Muaro Jambi Regency. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive method, data collection techniques are carried out with documentation, observation, interviews, and record tapping. In this researc, the data is in the form of types of values, namely explicit and implicit values taken on the customary marriage of the people of Lopak Alai Village, Kumpeh Ulu Subdistrict, Muaro Jambi Regency. Based on the research that has been conducted on the values in the Customary Marriage of Lopak Alai Village, Kumpeh Ulu Subdistrict, Muaro Jambi Regency, the results of the research can be obtained as follows: (1) the explicit values occured in 38 expressions, (2) implicit values as many as 14 expressions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the types of themes in the novel Anak Rantau by A. Fuadi. This study aims to describe the types of themes in the novel by using Shipley's theory. This research is a qualitative descriptive. The data in this research are in the form of quotations relating to aspects of the types of themes in the Anak Rantau novel by A. Fuadi. In collecting the data, documentation technique is used. The result of this research is a description of the types of themes in the novel Anak Rantau by A. Fuadi (content analysis). The types of themes include physical themes, organic themes, social themes, egoistic themes, and divine themes, each of which has its own section.

Abstract

This research aims at describing the noun phrase which is occured in students’ observation report of X MIPA 7 class at SMA Negeri 1 Jambi city academic year 2020/2021 which consisted of modifying, coordinating, and opposite noun phrase. This research is qualitative descriptive which means a research which describes particular event with words or the situation of the subject which appears in certain environment or situation. From the results of the research, it can be described that there are three kinds of noun phrase occured in students’ observation report, they are; modifying, coordinating, and opposite noun phrase. There are 63 types of modifying noun phrase and 21 types of coordinating noun phrase. Opposite noun phrase does not found in their observation report. The most dominant noun phrase occured is modifying noun phrase and the less is opposite noun phrase. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the phrase which are occured in students’ observation report of X MIPA 7 class of SMA Negeri 1 Jambi city academic year 2020/2021 are modifying, coordinating, and opposite noun phrase.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe reduplication form in Selamat Tinggal novel by Tere Liye. This research includes a type of qualitative descriptive research described in findings in the form of quotes contained in Selamat Tinggal novel by Tere Liye. In this research, the data is taken from quotes containing the entire form of reduplication, partial reduplication, reduplication with the affixation and reduplication derived from phoneme changes. This type of qualitative descriptive research is a step to describe the use of reduplication in this novel. The results of this research can be concluded that four forms of reduplication use are found in the Selamat Tinggal novel by Tere Liye. Of the findings of 110 quotations based on the four uses of the form of redulication in the novel, the most dominant is the form of reduplication combined with the process of establishing the affix found as many as 51 quotations and the less one is redulication with phoneme changes amount to 7 quotations. While the total reduation was found as many as 36 citations and partial reduplication was found as many as 12 quotations.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the character education of the main characters in the novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi with 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan based on the moral comparison of the characters. This research covers the character education of the main characters in the two novels, namely the novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi with 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan. The qualitative descriptive method used in this research is to describe the educational values of the characters contained in the novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi and the novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan. From the results of the analysis of the two novels, it can be concluded that there are 13 similarities in the value of character education as depicted by the characters and the storyline. The values of character education include religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independence, curiosity, national spirit, love for the homeland, respect for achievement, friendship/communication, love of reading, social care, and responsibility. The character education obtained between the characters in the first novel and the second novel has 4 differences, namely creative, democratic, peace-loving, environmental-loving values.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the value of ethics in the book collection of Jambi Folklore 2 by Kaslani which refers to the ethics of human relations with society consisting of help each other,  compassion, grace, and responsibility. This research includes a type of descriptive research that is qualitative. The primary data in this research is in the form of written data in the form of sentences, words, and paragraphs in the form of dialogues and monologues that are integrated in the book collection of Jambi Folklore 2, while the secondary data is in the form of books and literature taken from libraries where theories are interconnected with this research. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the ethical value contained in the book collection of Jambi Folklore 2 is studied in terms of human relations with society which includes the ethics of helping each other, compassion, grace, and responsibility where all this is strengthened also by exposure to dialogue and monologues. Moreover, there are 88 expressions occured in this book, namely 15 expressions of helping each other, 17 expressions of compassions, 35 expressions of grace, 21 expressions of  responsibility.
