Aksara merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Batanghari dan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini merupakan jurnal penelitian yang mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian asli, studi kepustakaan, dan tulisan terkait dengan fokus pada kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, kajian bahasa dan kajian sastra. Semua artikel ditinjau oleh 4 orang reviewer, 2 orang reviewer internal dan 2 orang reviewer eksternal. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun setiap bulan April dan bulan September, jurnal aksara ini dapat diakses pembaca, jurnal aksara ini berisi hasil penelitian pustaka maupun hasil penelitian lapangan. Jurnal ini meliputi beberapa ranah Ilmu sebagai berikut: 1. Kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia meliputi bidang pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa, pembelajaran linguistik, pembelajaran semantik, pembelajaran pragmatik, pembelajaran wacana, pembelajaran sosiolinguistik, pembelajaran psikolinguistik serta pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa, pembelajaran fiksi, pembelajaran drama. 2. Kajian Bahasa Indonesia meliputi: fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, analisis wacana, semantik, pragmatik, sosiolinguistik, psikolinguistik, bahasa dan budaya, dialektologi, dokumentasi bahasa, serta bidang keilmuan lain yang berkaitan dengan kajian kebahasaan. 3. Kajian Sastra Indonesia meliputi: sastra lisan dan sastra modern berupa kajian puisi, prosa fiksi dan drama.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the improvement of teachers’ ability in compiling RPP. RPP is one of the learning administrations that must be made by teachers, including during normal and new normal (covid-19) times. Various kinds of efforts made by the teachers in compiling RPP, but there are still many teachers who make RPP the same as in normal times. Some teachers understand how to use RPP's compiling guidelines, but not a few teachers who only copy other people's RPP so that there is no difference between RPP in normal times and in the new normal (covid-19). This research was conducted to find out whether the sustainable academic supervision program can improve the ability of teachers of SMP Negeri 5 Airgegas in compiling RPP for the new normal period. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 5 Airgegas as many as 2 cycles. The results showed an improvement in the ability of teachers in compiling RPP. The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of a sustainable academic supervision program at SMP Negeri 5 Airgegas can improve the ability of teachers in compiling RPP for the new normal period. This can be seen by the average value of the teachers ability in compiling a prescient RPP of 75.99, cycle 1 of 76.58 and cycle 2 of 80.01. In other words, the improvement of the teachers  ability in compiling new normal RPP at SMP Negeri 5 Airgegas from precycle 2 is 4.02.

Abstract

This research was motivated by finding moral values in Tere Liye's Selena Novel. This study aims to describe the moral values of Selena in Tere Liye's Selena Novel. This research uses descriptive, qualitative methods, namely describing moral values. This research data is in the form of findings related to five aspects of moral values including; help each other, politeness, obedient, self-control and trust contained in selena’s character. The data  are analyzed based on the existing theories in the literature study that the author makes as the theoretical basis in analyzing this research. This type of qualitative descriptive research is used as a way to describe the moral value contained in Selena in Tere Liye's Selena Novel. The results of this research can be described by the author that Selena's character contains moral values from aspects of moral values including; help each other, politeness, obedient, self-control and trust. The number of findings used as data in the form of quotations about moral values is as many as 52 citations. From the results of this study, it can be described that Selena's novel by Tere Liye contains moral values that can be used as reading material for the community as well as learning materials in schools.

Abstract

Directive speech in religious talks is often used. Directive speech found such as inviting, commanding, and advising. Therefore, this study aims to describe the types and meanings of directive speech in the Islam Itu Indah religious talk in the first week of August 2021 with pragmatic study. The research methods used are qualitative descriptive and data collection techniques are carried out by recording, note-taking, and transcription technique. The data in this research is in the form of speech spoken by ustaz and the host in the Islamic religious talk Islam Itu Indah. The data is in the form of speech included in the action of directive speech.  The data is analyzed by using pragmatic analysis technique. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, it can be concluded that there are two related data, namely type and meaning. The types of directive act found are requests, questions, orders, prohibitions, granting permission, and advice. The meaning of the directive action found is the meaning of ordering, commanding, pleading, advising, and recommending. The type of directive speech that is widely used in Islamic religious talk Islam Itu Indah is question and the least used is granting permission. While the meaning of the action of directive speech that is widely used in Islamic religious talk Islam Itu Indah is the meaning of begging and the least used is the meaning of ordering.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of social criticism contained in the 2018 PEKSIMINAS monologue text, namely Aeng, Balada Sumarah, Tolong, and Prodo Imitatio. This research includes a type of qualitative descriptive research. The data is collected in the form of quotes related to the form of social criticism, including poverty, crime, family disorganization, the problem of the younger generation, and bureaucracy. Next the data tabulated into the data tabulation table. The next step is to analyze the data that has been collected in accordance with the study of literature that researchers use and a literary sociology approach so that researchers can describe this research data. With qualitative descriptive research, researcher can describe social criticism in a collection of PEKSIMINAS 2018 monologue texts. The results show that in the text of the Aeng monologue by Putu Wijaya and Ballad Sumarah  by Tentrem Lestari found social criticism of poverty, crime, disorganization of the family, the problem of the younger generation, and bureaucracy. From the monologue Tolong by N. Riantiarno was found social criticism about poverty, crime, disorganization of the family, bureaucracy. Moreover the social criticism regarding the problem of the younger generation was not found. Furthermore, the monologue text of the Prodo Imitatio by Arthur S. Nalan was found social criticism of poverty, crime, the problem of the younger generation, bureaucracy and social critics regarding family disorganization was not found. Of the four monologue texts the most prominent social criticism is social criticism of crime.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the changes in Longsér based on its development, and how the process of inheriting Longsér is carried out by the Sunda Kiwari Theater. In the show, Longser is delivered in the local language, namely Sundanese which tells about everyday life. The Longsér group that has been known is the Panca Warna group. This study uses a qualitative approach with analytical descriptive method. The data collection technique is based on the results of observations and interviews with the Sunda Kiwari theater. The traditional Longsér theater performance by Teater Sunda Kiwari has been transformed into a more modern form according to the demands of the market and the wishes of the people. Based on the six aspects studied, almost all aspects of the structure underwent a transformation, such as changes using text/scripts, director intervention, and a more modern stage setting.

Abstract

This descriptive study purpose to describe (1) the social reality depicted in Pramoedya Ananta Toer's novel Bumi Manusia, and (2) its implications for literature learning in high school. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research.. The object of this research is the social reality depicted in the novel Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer and its implications for learning literature in high school. The data collection method used in this research is the documentation method, to find out the manifestation of the social reality of the people who are told in the novel Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The data that has been collected is processed inductively through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are as follows (1) studied various social realities that are told in the novel Bumi Manusia including: descent and family background which greatly affects social status and position in people's lives, both to access education and establish social relations (2) implications or the contribution of this research to the process of learning literature in high school, especially in the twelfth grade.

Abstract

This study aims to describe national values in the Novel Sebelas Patriot  by Andrea Hirata. This research is a qualitative descriptive type research. The research data is in the form of quotations containing national values in the novel. The source of the data comes from a novel book entitled Sebelas Patriot  by Andrea Hirata. The step in data collection is carried out by reading data source books and source books related to the theory of national values and also literary theory to gain experience in collecting data, then marking findings in the form of quotations related to aspects to be studied, and classifying the findings of quotation data into a data classification table. The approach in this study uses a structural approach. The data analysis step is carried out by entering the classified quotation data into the data analysis table, then analyzing the research data in accordance with the theory taken from the theory of nationality values in the theory source book. Based on the results and discussions, in the study there are three aspects of national values which include: Human values, contained in the data, namely “Dengan membangkang, dia merasa telah membela abang-abangnya, membela bangsanya.” (SP:23). The value of unity, found in the data, namely “Tertindas di bawah penjajahan, rakyat menemukan caranya sendiri untuk melawan.” (SP:6). The value of patriotism, found in the data, namely “Dia menolak bergabung dengan tim penjajah kaumnya.“ (SP:23). From the results of this study, human values are the most dominating values among the other two values. These three values are found to vary within the novel.

Abstract

This research was motivated by finding moral values in the legend of Bukit Perak by Ricky A. Manik. This study aims to describe the moral values contained in the legend of Bukit Perak by Ricky A. Manik. This research uses a qualitative type of descriptive research. The data of this research is in the form of findings related to 7 aspects of moral values including; care for others, help each other, be deliberative, live in harmony, keeping promises, forgiving, respecting others contained in the legend. The findings are analyzed based on the existing theory in the literature study which the author uses as a theoretical basis in analyzing this research. The qualitative descriptive research is used as a way to descript the moral values contained in this legend. The results of this study can be described by the author that the legend of Bukit Perak by Ricky A. Manik contains moral values from the aspect of moral values including; care for others, help each other, be deliberative, live in harmony, make promises, forgiving, respecting for others. The number of findings used as data in the form of citations about moral values was 83 citations. From the results of the research, it is suggested that the legend of Bukit Perak as a Jambi regional literature with requirements with moral values can be used as a development of learning materials for local content in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the setting of the place, time setting and social setting in Fiersa Besari's Novel Arah Langkah. This research is included in the type of qualitative descriptive research. The data used as the object of study is in the form of sentences, phrase clauses and words that refer to the setting of the place, time setting and social setting contained in the novel Arah Langkah by Fiersa Besari. To analyze the data, the author uses the theory of structural approaches. The results of this study can be described by the author that the novel Arah Langkah by Fiersa Besari contains a setting that includes the setting of the place, among others, contained in the expression 1). “Aku tiba di terminal Leuwi Panjang. 2). Time setting can be seen from the expression “Kami baru tiba pukul enam sore sudah cukup gelap”. 3). The social setting is found in the phrase “Seorang anak kecil melempar wadah mi ke laut”. Based on the results of background research, it can be concluded that the setting of the place is more found while the least background is the social setting.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the types of oersonality of the female character Maharani in the novel Air Mata Maharani by Vennia Lestari. The female personality type consists of four types, namely sanguinis, choleric, melancholy, and plegmatic. This research is included in the type of qualitative descriptive research. Qualitative descriptive research is research intended to investigate circumstances, conditions or other things, the results of which are presented in the form of research reports in the form of data. The data of this study are findings in the form of quotations in the novel Air Mata Maharani by Vennia Lestari. The results of this study contained the female personality type of the Maharani character in the Novel Air Mata Maharani by Vennia Lestari. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the type of female personality of the Maharani character in the novel Tears of the Maharani was found to be four types. The most dominant type is the sanguinis female personality type which is twenty-three, while the slightly choleric female type is nine quotes.
