Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of (1) Principal leadership on teacher performance, (2) the work climate on teacher performance, (3) work climate and principals' leadership together on teacher performance. The research method used is the method of correlation. The research respondents were high school teachers in SMA Negeri 9 Samarinda , SMA Negeri 12 Samarinda , SMA Negeri 13 Samarinda , and SMA Islam Bunga Bangsa Samarinda in North Samarinda Sub-District as many as 106 people . The technique of collecting data uses a structured questionnaire, with three instruments, namely the work climate, principal leadership and teacher performance. The results of the study show (1) there is a positive effect of principals' leadership on teacher performance with a correlation coefficient = 0.078, (2) there is a positive effect of the work climate on teacher performance with a correlation coefficient = 0.206; (3) there is a positive effect of work climate and principal leadership on teacher performance with a correlation coefficient = 0.302 Keywords: work climate, leadership and performance

Abstract

The research was conducted to explain how the impacts of the existence of Covid-19, especially in the education sector, describe the problems and obstacles experienced by students during online learning, assess the adaptation of students in taking online learning and the implications of the industrial revolution 4.0 on the use of digital technology as an alternative solution. In learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, the research method used was qualitative where the sample in this study were high school students in the Sobang sub-district. Data collection was carried out by compiling various sources in the form of mass media, observation and supported by interview result. Processed and analyzed then presented in the form of narrative sentences. The results of this study indicate that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused rapid social change in education which requires students to adapt to the learning process an online. The students adaptations include learning and understanding what is meant by independent online learning by relying on Youtube and Google. And the result are now students are starting to become proficient in using technology and various online media to support learning thanks to the adaptations made. Because the implementation of online learning encourages students to strive to improve their competence in terms of mastery of technology in the digital era 4.0 to support learning during a pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain complete information about the application of the Google Meet application in mathematics learning for class XI at SMA Negeri 9 Samarinda during the Covid 19 pandemic. the learning process outside the classroom, but can be carried out anywhere and anytime. During the Covid -19 pandemic, this is the first time all educators in Indonesia have carried out an online learning process. As for learning mathematics in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, which uses online mathematics learning. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, for a quantitative approach in the form of questionnaires and interviews from this approach, this study seeks to clearly describe what happened to the subject to analyze the application of the Google Meet application in mathematics learning in class XI at SMA Negeri 9 Samarinda during the Covid 19 pandemic. The research was students of class XI for the academic year 2020/2021 who were taken randomly so that a total of 120 students were obtained for filling out the questionnaire, and 36 students for the interview. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Samarinda. Based on student suggestions if online learning is better to use google meet because they can discuss directly with the teacher so that learning is more meaningful and easier to understand the material if it is carried out online.

Abstract

Attracting students' interest in learning is one of the things that is difficult for teachers to do. Therefore, the teacher must be able to make the learning atmosphere as attractive as possible so that students do not feel bored during learning. This study aims to investigate the implementation of the singing method while studying in order to be able to provide enthusiasm for learning or interest in learning to students at TK Negeri Pembina Lebong. This type of research is qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were all students in the TK Negeri Pembina with a total of 38 students and three teachers who taught. Data were collected by used observations during learning and interviews with teachers who taught. The results obtained indicate that by using the singing method students feel more enthusiastic in learning and are able to increase students' self-confidence attitudes. Abstract

This article investigates the students’ responses toward corrective feedback effectiveness for EFL students' speaking skills that constitute negative feedback. It is the form of linguistic error response toward the learner's error utterance (Zhang & Chatupote, 2014). The most popular corrective feedbacks in teaching speaking are explicit correction, elicitation, and repetition (Muhsin, 2016). This article aimed to analyze the students’ responses toward the effectiveness of corrective feedback in increasing EFL students speaking performance. The researcher researched 35 EFL students of the English Department Student at Tidar University. This study applied a quantitative approach in analyzing the data by sending the questionnaire consist of six categories. The researcher used the questionnaire to collect data about the participants' responses towards using corrective feedback in students' speaking performance. The result shows that implementing corrective feedback is effective for increasing EFL students' speaking performance. Keywords: Corrective Feedback, Effectiveness, Speaking, EFL Students

Abstract

Minat bertani generasi muda semakin lama semakin menurun. Padahal, pertanian merupakan unsur yang penting dalam menjaga ketahanan pangan negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat gagasan aplikasi penanaman minat bertani untuk generasi muda. Aplikasi tersebut adalah Edutani, yang ditujukan pada siswa TK. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksploratif-kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Observasi dilakukan untuk melihat aplikasi-aplikasi serupa, sedangkan wawancara digunakan untuk mencari respons sasaran terhadap Edutani. Adapun objek yang diwawancarai adalah siswa RA Ath-Thooriq Singaraja. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa Edutani memiliki empat menu permainan. Adapun tahap-tahap dalam merancang Edutani adalah analisis fenomena, perumusan solusi, pegenalan pada sasaran, dan penulisan karya tulis. Respons sasaran terhadap gagasan aplikasi Edutani cukup baik. Serta, untuk memaksimalkan penanaman minat bertani pada anak, diperlukan peran dari dinas terkait, guru, dan orang tua untuk mengadakan praktik langsung, baik di sekolah atau pun di rumah.

Abstract

This reasearch is based on the importance of the collaboration bentween parents and teachers during covid-19 pandemic. The aims of this research is to analyze the collaboration between parents and teacher in accommodate learning process during covid-19 pandemic on the 3rd graders of SDN 004 Samarinda Utara Academic Year 2020/2021. The technic used to determined the subject is purposive sampling and the technic used to analyze the data is data collection, data selection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The type of triangulation used is source triangulation. The result of the research which formed by extending communication through WhatsApp Application and collaborate in learning activities and students’ development while students learning from home. During pandemic, teachers conducted the learning process through some remote learning application, but its difficult for many parents who did not know how to use the remote learning applications, therefore they use whatsApp application whish found easier to use.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination in students. The research population is the sixth semester students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. The sampling technique used random sampling with the Solvin formula which resulted in a sample of 294 students. Data analysis using regression analysis and correlation using SPSS 21 for windows. Correlation test results obtained R = -0,513, p = 0,000 (p <0,05). So it can be concluded that the self-efficacy variable has a significant negative relationship with academic procrastination. The effect of self-efficacy on academic procrastination seen from the results of the coefficient of determination (R = 0,264) shows the effective contribution given by the self-efficacy variable to academic procrastination by 26,4%. Therefore, there are still 73,6% of other factors outside the study that may cause academic procrastination behavior in students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes on integer material using problem solving methods for fourth graders at SD Negeri Kedunglo. This type of research is Classroom Action Research which consists of two cycles, each cycle meeting three times. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that in the pre-cycle stage the average value of learning outcomes was 68.5 with a learning completeness percentage of 35%. In the first cycle the average value of learning outcomes was 82.5 with a percentage of learning completeness of 80% in the good category. In cycle II the average value of learning outcomes is 92 with the percentage of learning completeness reaching 100% in the very good category. Students' learning mastery has increased after learning using problem solving methods. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of problem solving methods can improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade mathematics at SD Negeri Kedunglo on integer material.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia also affected the learning process so that adjustments were needed to the learning process, one of which was online learning. In online learning, the WhatsApp application is often used during learning. This study aims to describe the use of the WhatsApp application in online learning in elementary schools, both in high and low classes. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and concluding the data. The results of this study indicated that the use of WhatsApp in learning was carried out in the high and low classes by utilizing the sharing features of videos, pictures, documents, and voice messages. Occasionally the video call feature was used in learning, but it was limited due to signal constraints. Apart from signal constraints, mastery of technology also hindered the development of learning. The recommendation given to improve the quality of learning is to collaborate with WhatsApp with other platforms and applications that support learning, and improve communication between teachers and parents in learning.
