Abstract

Background: People in Indonesia, especially people who reside in Purwakarta Regency have been to generation, have used traditional ingredients as an alternative treatment, and lately increasingly rampant products made from herbs on the market. These traditional medicine users include various circles ranging from children to adults. The rise of the use of traditional medicines in the community, is not in line with available data on who is the highest consumer and how it seems to their health. Aims: Explore public perceptions related to traditional medicine based on sex differences. Method: The method used in this study is an explanatory associative. The research subjects were the people of Purwakarta Regency, West Java Province, which amounted to 137 people. Sampling is done using the conditional sampling method. Research instruments change observation sheets. Results: The results showed that of the 137 respondents had the knowledge and the interests of traditional medicine (enough: 58.3%), believing traditional medicine had the potential to be developed as a health effort (strong: 61.5%), believing in health treatment efforts can heal (Enough: 52.6%), believe that traditional medical practice facilities have not been standardized (enough: 54.3%). Conclusion: The group of women's respondents compared to men's groups has a lower perception of the potential development of traditional medicine, having a lower level of trust in the healing ability of traditional medicine, has a higher level of trust that traditional treatment has not been standardized, but relatively has the same perception Knowledge and Interest for traditional medicine.

Abstract

Background: The prevalence of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) are getting increase. The etiology of CKD varies greatly with one of the most common cause is hypertension (HT). Nutritional management plays an important role in healing process of patients. The success of nutrition management is determined by the effectiveness of nutritional interventions through diet therapy, education, and counseling that are effective and suitable for patients in the hospital. Objective: This research aims to determine the management of a holistic diet in patients with CKD and HT in the inpatient room of Holistic Hospital Purwakarta. Method: This research is a descriptive study with a case study method. Case subjects were CKD patients with HT and had a history of SLE. Case monitoring was carried out for five days, data collected included primary data, secondary data and data from interviews Results: Diet therapy for CKD patients started from small portions with lowest protein (less than 0.6 g/kgbw/day). The menu consists of natural and organic food ingredients. Food processing uses minimal food process, such as boiled, steamed, and baked, according to the patient's condition. The result showed that the average of food intake with small portion contains 100% nutrition, 161,71% energy, 261,83% protein, 17,30% fat, and 173,62% carbohydrate. The results of laboratory tests of urea is 162 mg/dL, creatinine 6.8 mg/dL, and uric acid 11.9 mg/dL. Patient’s body mass index (BMI) is classified as normal, which is 22.53 kg/m2. The patient's edema condition is reduced, the average fluid intake and discharge are respectively 337 cc/day and 1,146 cc/day. Systolic blood pressure decreases, while diastolic blood pressure increases up to 150/100 mmHg. Conclusion: Holistic nutrition management through nutritional therapy interventions and holistic diet quality of CKD patients with HT and have a history of SLE.

Abstract

Background: The level of fiber consumption of Indonesian people is known to be low. Snack bars are snacks made from cereals and nuts that can be an alternative source of fiber. Research Objectives: To determine the effect of the ratio of brown rice flour and green beans to the hedonic test, fiber content, and the best formulation in making snack bars, and to determine the percentage of fiber contained in the snack bar compared to the nutritional adequacy rate (RDA). Methods: This study was a quantitative study using a completely randomized design with a ratio of brown rice flour and green beans in making snack bars. This study consisted of three stages, making snack bars, analyzing fiber content and hedonic test. The hedonic test was followed by 60 untrained panelists. Statistical analysis was performed using One Way Anova and kruskal wallis. Results: the snack bar fiber content of the three different formulas was not significantly different (p> 0.05) with p-value 0.055. The hedonic test results on color parameters obtained p-value 0.699, aroma with p-value 0.913, taste obtained p-value 0.762 and texture with p-value 0.708. Conclusion: The difference in the ratio of rice flour and green beans has no effect on fiber content and hedonic test on the snack bar.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by an increase in blood glucose levels or hiperglikemia that occurs due to abnormal insulin secretion, insulin action or both. Drug therapy is safe and effective would happen if patients were given enough information about medicine and its usage. Objectives This study aims to determine the role of pharmacists in educating patients about diabetes melitus and its relation with factors that influencing glycemic control in type 2 diabetes patients, in Internal Disease Clinic at Bayu Asih Purwakarta Hospital. Methods: The study is an experimental study conducted using Nonrandomized Concurrent Control Trial prospectively. Patients were devided into three groups with 20 patients in each group, who were given education by pharmacist with different frequency, first group given education twice, second group given education 3 times, and third group given education 4 times. Patient’s knowledge on medication were measured by the Medication Knowledge Assessment (MKA), whereas adherence to medication were measured using Modified Morisky Scale (MMS). Data collected were analyzed descriptively and also quantitatively by independent t test and paired t test.   Result. The results showed that the patients in the group 2 times education, group 3 times education and group 4 times education, all of them experienced an increase in the level of knowledge and compliance. In addition, patients in the three groups also experienced a decrease in their fasting blood sugar (GDP) and two-hour blood sugar levels (GD2JPP), however, the difference in the frequency of education did not affect the level of knowledge, compliance and also blood sugar levels of patients. The study concluded that pharmacist education can improve knowledge and medication adherence. There was no correlation between patient adherence and glycemic control, but there was a positive correlation between frequency of education and blood glucose levels 2 hours post prandial. There are no correlation between adherence and glycemic control, but is a positive correlation between frequency of education and 2 hour post prandial blood glucose level. Conclusion. It can be cocluded also that frequency of education can influence on adherence and glycemic control.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Lama rawat inap serta asupan energi dan protein rendah dapat mempengaruhi status gizi pasien. Makanan positive diet adalah salah satu jenis terapi diet yang diberikan kepada pasien di RSU Holistic. Tujuan positive diet memberikan makanan sesuai dengan kondisi pasien untuk detoksifikasi dan mencegah serta mengurangi kerusakan jaringan tubuh. Jenis karbohidrat yang diberikan serealia organik dan umbi-umbian. Jenis protein tahu, tempe dan kacang-kacangan serta protein hewani seperti ikan kembung, ikan gindara, telur dan daging ayam kampung. Sumber lemak yang diberikan minyak zaitun dan minyak jagung. Tujuan Penelitian: Mengetahui gambaran lama hari rawat inap, asupan energi dan protein dengan status gizi pada pasien positive diet. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan desain cross sectional yang dilakukan bulan September-November 2020. Sembilan subjek yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi diambil dengan metode consecutive sampling. Data lama hari rawat inap diambil selama pasien masuk sampai keluar rumah sakit. Data asupan energi dan protein menggunakan form food recall 3 x 24 jam. Data status gizi menggunakan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) diambil awal pasien masuk dan saat keluar dari rumah sakit. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan sebanyak 44,4% (n=4) memiliki lama hari rawat inap panjang (8-10 hari). Sebagian besar subjek memiliki rata-rata asupan energi baik (44,4%) dan asupan protein kurang (77,8%). Status gizi awal masuk dengan kategori normal sebanyak 4 orang (44,5%), dan saat keluar dari rumah sakit 5 orang (55,6%). Simpulan: Lama hari rawat inap yang panjang pada pasien yang mendapatkan positive diet memiliki asupan energi baik, asupan protein kurang dan status gizi normal.

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a period where it is easy to be influenced by the envronment and close friend, the influence of friend will influence the changes in adolecent eating and will like new things such as fast food that contains high energy, fat, and sodium, thus making adolescents experience nutritional status problems. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determinne whether there is a corelation between ready to eat food and the incidence of nutritional status in adolescents SMP Negeri 1 Gading Rejo Tahun 2021. Method: The design used in this research is quantitavie using cross sectional method. Sampling is done using techniques random sampling the sampel is study amounted to 152 person.data analysis in this study using ujichi-square and uji fisher. Results: The results of this study obtained obesity 12 (7,9%), overweight 47 (30,9%), thin 22 (14,5%), an normal 98 (64,5%). Teenagers who often eat fast food 113 (74,3%). There is a corelation between fast food and the incidence of nutritional status in teenagers with p value 0,000. Conclusion: There is a corelation between fast food and the incidence of nutritional status in teenagers SMP Negeri 1 Gading Rejo.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition where a person's blood pressure is above normal. Where is the result of the preliminary pre survey conducted by the researcher to the UPTD for Elderly Social Services, Tresna Werdha. data obtained from elderly patients with hypertension at the UPTD of Tresna Werdha Social Panti Lampung as many as 21 elderly (25.30%). Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the corelation between the adequacy of sodium and potassium levels with hypertension in the elderly, the technical implementing unit for the elderly social service area Tresna Werdha Lampung in 2021. Method: The design used in this study is a quantitative research using a cross sectional research design. The population in this study were 80 elderly people in the Regional Technical Implementation Unit for Elderly Social Services Tresna Werdha Lampung. Bivariate analysis in this study using Spearman's Rank Test.. Results: The results of this study obtained hypertension 1 as many as 18 people (85.71%), the level of potassium adequacy for 21 elderly was lacking (100%), and sodium adequacy level for 21 elderly was lacking (100%). Conclusion: there was no corelatiom between potassium adequacy level and hypertension (p = 0.102) and there was no corelation between sodium adequacy level and hypertension (p = 0.541).

Abstract

Background: Nutritional problems in school-age children are overnutrition and undernutrition, factors that affect nutritional status include macronutrient intake and physical activity. If the intake of macronutrients that enter the body is excessive and does not do physical activity, there will be an increase in body weight. The prevalence of BMI/U nutritional status in children aged 5-12 years in Lampung province is 4.76% very thin, 4.75% thin, and obese 8.52%. Research Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between macronutrient intake and physical activity with nutritional status in 46 Gedong Tataan elementary school children in 2021. Methods: Research design using analytic with cross sectional approach. Analysis of the data used is the Spearman Correlation Test and the Pearson Correlation Test. The sample in this study amounted to 70 people. Research Result: Research shows that there is a relationship between intake of energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrates with nutritional status in elementary school children with p = 0.000. There is no relationship between physical activity and nutritional status in elementary school children with p = 0.513. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between intake of energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrates with the nutritional status of school children. There is no relationship between physical activity and nutritional status of school children.

Abstract

Background: Pregnancy is a physiological and natural process. Hormonal changes on women occur during pregnancy, namely an increase in the hormones progesterone and estrogen. It can cause complaints that will be undergo by pregnant women, one of which is emesis gravidarum. Emesis gravidarum is a common complaint that occurs in early pregnancy. Complementary therapies that can be used to reduce nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy are herbal plants such as ginger. Objective: The objective of this scientific paper is to examine the implementation of wedangjahe decoction on Mrs. E with hyperemesis gravidarumin the first trimester of pregnant woman. Method: The scientific paper design used case study. Respondents used in this study were Mrs. E is the first trimester of pregnant woman who is a client with complaints of hyperemesis gravidarum (nausea and vomiting) in Sumbergede Village. Results: The results of this study showed that after five days of nursing care, Mrs. E the mother who has hyperemesis gravidarum (nausea and vomiting) is resolved. It marked by nausea and vomiting undergo by Mrs. E has decreased. The successful implementation of wedangjahe decoction to reduce nausea and vomiting is influenced by the natural content contained in the ginger plant which has an effect on reducing nausea and vomiting. Conclusion: Conclusion is the implementation of wedangjahe decoction on Mrs. E with hyperemesis gravidarumby using nursing care in accordance with nursing standards for five days, it was found that Mrs. E experienced a decrease in nausea and vomiting after drinking ginger stew. Suggestion for alternatives or recommendations iswedangjahe decoction or it can be replaced by using ginger candy.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Hasil kajian data profil kesehatan Kabupaten Purwakarta Tahun 2002, menunjukkan adanya data cakupan keluarga sehat masih rendah dengan fenomena perilaku masyarakat yang tidak sehat. Hal tersebut diduga akibat dari belum optimalnya Program Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS). Hasil identifikasi masalah dapat disimpulkan belum optimalnya Program PHBS berkolerasi dengan faktor internal seperti pengetahuan dan sikap keluarga, faktor eksternal seperti kontak media dan ketersediaan sarana PHBS serta faktor sosiodemografi keluarga. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi dapat dirumuskan hipotesis penelitian, yaitu adanya hubungan antara faktor sosiodemografi dengan praktek PHBS, adanya hubungan antara faktor internal dengan praktek PHBS dan adanya hubungan antara faktor eksternal dengan praktek PHBS. Guna membuktikan hipotesis tersebut diperlukan data dan informasi tentang pelaksanaan Program PHBS di Kabupaten Purwakarta melalui penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan Survei Cepat dengan jenis penelitian potong lintang. (Cross Sectional), dimana variabel bebas dan variabel terikat dikumpulkan dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Sebagai populasi adalah seluruh keluarga di Kabupaten Purwakarta sejumlah 190.443 kepala keluarga dengan jumlah sampel 300 responden (KK). Objektif: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengungkap dan menganalisa hubungan faktor internal, faktor eksternal serta faktor sosiodemografi dengan praktek PHBS pada Tatanan Rumah Tangga di Kabupaten Purwakarta. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi logistk menunjukan bahwa dari 10 variabel hanya 6 variabel yang berhubungan dengan praktek PHBS, yaitu faktor sosiodemografi adalah jumlah anak, umur anak terakhir, tingkat pendidikan (p>0,001); faktor internal adalah pengetahuan dan sikap (p<0,001) serta faktor eksternal adalah kontak media dan ketersediaan sarana PHBS (p>0,001). Kesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa jumlah anak, umur anak terakhir, tingkat pendidikan, pengetahuan, sikap, kontak media dan ketersediaan sarana PHBS berhubungan dengan praktek PHBS keluarga di Kabupaten Purwakarta.
