WAHATUL MUJTAMA: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (P3M) Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Islam dan Bahasa Arab (STIBA) Makassar. It is in the national level that covers a lot of common problems or issues related to community services. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. WAHATUL MUJTAMA: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat contains various activities of the teaching staff and students in Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Islam dan Bahasa Arab (STIBA) Makassar in handling and managing the various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society. Implementation of service activities also involve the participation of the community and partners. Service activities are organized into an activity aimed at improving the welfare of society. In the following year of publication, the journal is going to publish twice a year (June and December). Any interested author could submit the manuscript following the submission guidelines. Please read these guidelines carefully. Authors who want to submit their manuscript to the editorial office of WAHATUL MUJTAMA should obey the writing guidelines. If the manuscript submitted is not appropriate with the guidelines or written in a different format, it will be REJECTED by the editors before further reviewed. The editors will only accept the manuscripts which meet the assigned format. Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Desk Review and Initial Manuscript Evaluation processes by Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to the Mitra Bebestari/peer reviewer and will go to the next selection by Double-Blind Peer-Review Process. Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to increase the religious understanding of Indonesian citizens in the city of Riyadh through the role of the Al-Hidayah Taklim Council. The PkM method used is the implementation of Al-Hidayah taklim assemblies, such as al-Qur'an halaqah with two main activities, namely tahsin and tahfiz, Arabic halaqah, scientific studies, including fiqh, aqidah, Al-Qur'an sciences. and studies with special themes according to certain moments. This activity program is carried out regularly on Fridays and Saturdays flexibly. The result of this PkM is that apart from being a place of learning that is able to increase religious knowledge for Indonesian citizens, the taklim assembly also acts as a forum that strengthens and strengthens friendship and social relations between Indonesian citizens, instilling the values ​​of solidarity and brotherhood, as well as moral and spiritual values. The taklim assembly also has an important role in assisting the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in providing protection and shelter for Indonesian citizens in the city of Riyadh. The taklim assembly as a social and educational institution plays an active role in collaborating with the Indonesian Embassy in ensuring the welfare and needs of Indonesian citizens, especially in religious aspects. The existence of the Al-Hidayah Taklim Council and its role has had a positive impact on Indonesian citizens in the city of Riyadh.

Abstract

Sukamahi Village is located in Megamendung District, Bogor Regency, West Java, one of the pilot villages for the One Billion One Village (SaMiSaDe) program in 2021. Sukamahi Village has agricultural and plantation potential. Most of the village residents have professions as farmers and own businesses such as food businesses and grocery stores in Sukamahi Village. Most of the women in Sukamahi Village are involved in PKK activities, farming and are housewives. Currently, there are no profitable business activities among the group of women residents of Sukamahi village. There are problems in various regions where local food businesses are generally less attractive, innovative, creative, and the majority are only wrapped in transparent plastic without any labels or information. The aim of organizing this community service is to provide knowledge about packaging processed food products that comply with good food packaging rules and can attract consumers' attention. The implementation method consists of initial observations and training activities. Initial observations include licensing, mapping communities that need training, and formulating appropriate training. The training activity provided material and direct practice in making appropriate products and packaging, ended with a question and answer session regarding what had been provided. Overall, the training on packaging processed food products went well and was beneficial for improving the skills and business marketing of the Sukamahi Village community. With more attractive and quality packaging, processed food business products from Sukamahi Village have a better opportunity to penetrate a wider market to help improve the economic level of business actors.

Abstract

Community service which includes efforts to improve the quality of human resources in religious aspects and as a form of concern in developing society. The methods used in implementing community service through real work lectures are: Observation, Interviews, Preparation of work program workshops (Village Seminars). After the analysis is carried out, a work program is prepared that is appropriate and needed by the community. GEMAR Movement to Cover Private Parts is one of the work programs where this activity is specifically for Muslim women in Allaere village with the aim of activities to build awareness of the entire community about the importance of a Muslim woman covering her private parts. This program has been running well and has shown initial results in accordance with the KKN objectives that have been planned, namely inviting 44 Muslim women as participants and forming 4 intensive study groups.

Abstract

Indonesian expatriates residing in Saudi Arabia often face challenges in meeting basic needs and performing religious obligations in their new environment. This research explores the contribution of the Muhammadiyah Amil Zakat Infaq and Shadaqah Institute (LAZISMU) Saudi Arabia in supporting the well-being of Indonesian expatriates through the Khidmat program. Adopting a participatory approach, this study identifies the needs of Indonesian expatriates and the programs implemented by LAZISMU to address those needs. The findings reveal that LAZISMU Saudi Arabia plays a crucial role in providing assistance to those in need, particularly Indonesian expatriates, students, and Muhammadiyah members. The Khidmat programs implemented include zakat fitrah services, food package distribution, iftar meal sharing, and breaking of the fast gatherings. These programs have a positive impact in meeting the basic needs of Indonesian expatriates and strengthening social bonds and solidarity among the Muslim community. The effectiveness of the programs is supported by a partnership with the Indonesian Consulate General, enabling targeted identification and distribution of aid. This research contributes to understanding the role of Islamic philanthropic organizations in supporting the well-being of the Indonesian expatriate community in Saudi Arabia and provides recommendations for developing more effective programs in the future.

Abstract

The aim of this activity is to provide education to the entire Wonomulyo District community regarding the causes of stunting, the impact of early marriage and economic empowerment. The method used in this activity is the lecture and question and answer method (interactive) between resource persons and seminar participants. The benchmark for the success of this activity uses success indicators, namely participant participation and human resource development. The results of this community service activity show an increase in the scientific insight of the people of Wonomulyo District in minimizing the occurrence of stunting, early marriage and improving the community's economy. The implementation of this activity hopes to reduce the number of early marriages and stunting.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to improve Arabic language skills among Indonesian citizens living in al-Kharj City, Saudi Arabia, through Maktab Dakwah wa Al-Jaliyat. The implementation of PkM is carried out by evaluating the effectiveness of the program in facilitating Indonesian citizens to deepen their understanding of Islam through mastering the Arabic language. The activity began by analyzing the implementation of the program, the challenges faced, and the role of Maktab Dakwah wa Al-Jaliyat as the organizing organization. The results of the activities show that this program has had a positive impact in increasing mastery of the Arabic language and understanding of Islamic sources. However, there are obstacles such as differences in participant abilities and the need for curriculum adjustments. This program concludes the important role of Maktab Dakwah wa Al-Jaliyat in providing an effective learning platform and developing cross-institutional collaboration to increase the effectiveness of the program in the future.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to improve the quality of the Umrah pilgrimage for Indonesian citizens through the Umrah Madrasah program implemented by Markaz Inayah. Markaz Inayah initiated the Umrah Madrasah program which focuses on the spiritual and intellectual development of participants with learning methods or education in preparation for the Umrah pilgrimage. This program is carried out regularly, with a frequency of three times a year and a duration of one month. This program component consists of four elements, namely distribution of reading materials, study of religious knowledge, cult, and visits to historical locations in Mecca and Medina. This activity is carried out before the Umrah pilgrims leave for Mecca to carry out the Umrah pilgrimage. The result of this activity is that the congregation can carry out the Umrah pilgrimage in accordance with Islamic law. Although there are several obstacles faced in implementing this activity, these obstacles can be anticipated and overcome by developing solutions that are appropriate and adaptive to the prevailing field conditions.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) of STIBA Makassar in Borong Village, Tanralili District, Maros Regency is driven by the phenomenon of the community’s limited knowledge in reading and understanding the Qur’an. Therefore, this study aims to examine the extent of students’ roles in serving the community as a manifestation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particulary in the implementation of Qur’an literacy programs. The method of implementing the community service program begins with mapping the problems and needs of the community using SOAR Analysis. After the analysis is conducted, work programs are formulated according to the community’s needs. Based on the results of the analysis, several programs were designed, including Qur’an Teaching (for children and youth), Arabic Language Teaching, Tahsīn al-Qirā’ah, Ramadan Intensive Courses, Funeral Management Training, Distribution of Iqra’ Books, Righteous Children Festival, Grand Tabligh, Distribution of Preachers and Tarawih Imams, Ramadan Qur’an Recitation and Iftar Distribution, and Social Service Activities. All these programs have been successfully implemented and have shown initial results in line with the objectives set for the KKN.

Abstract

The Student Community Service Program (KKN) is one of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi) in the aspect of community service. This study aimed to evaluate the role of the 7th batch of STIBA Makassar KKN students in providing religious development programs for the community of Lekopancing Village, Maros Regency. Prior to implementation, a community needs analysis was conducted using the SOAR Analysis method. Based on the analysis results, a work program was formulated, encompassing Ramadan Short Course, Al-Qur'an Teaching, Night Vigil and Prayer, 20 Days of Ramadan Daurah, Tahsīn al-Qur'an (Qur'anic Recitation Improvement), Funeral Management Training, Pious Children Festival, Imam for Rawatib Prayers, Cupping and Ruqyah Shar'iyah (Prophetic Spiritual Healing), Friday Prayer Imam and Khotbah Jumat (Sermon), School Teaching Program, Breaking Fast Together and Tausiah (Religious Lecture), Dawn Kultum (Short Lecture), Social Service, and Tarawih Sermon. All programs were successfully implemented and demonstrated initial results in accordance with the objectives set for enhancing the religious development of the Lekopancing Village community.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of community service that constitutes one of the main pillars of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The 7th batch of STIBA Makassar carried out the KKN program in Kurusumange Village, Tanralili District, Maros Regency, recognizing the lack of religious guidance within the community. This study aimed to examine the extent to which students' roles through the KKN program provided religious guidance for the community. The implementation method for the community service program commenced with mapping the community's problems and needs using the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) analysis. Based on the analysis results, the work program was formulated according to the community's needs. The programs implemented included serving as the prayer imam and preacher for Tarawih prayers, leading congregational night prayers, delivering Friday sermons, giving dawn spiritual talks, teaching at TKA/TPA (Qur'anic study groups for children), providing DIROSA (reading and writing Arabic) and Tahsīn al-Qur'an (Qur'anic recitation improvement) instruction, organizing short Islamic courses, teaching at schools, hosting a pious children's festival, conducting social activities, providing training for funeral arrangements, and serving as the prayer imam and preacher for Eid al-Fitr prayers. All these programs were successfully implemented and have shown initial results aligning with the established KKN objective of providing religious guidance for the community.
