Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profile of sports injuries in pencak silat sparring category athletes from the Central Java contingent at POMNAS XIX 2025. This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The population consisted of 31 athletes, with a sample of 5 injured athletes selected using purposive sampling. The instrument used was a structured questionnaire based on the STROBE-SIIS guidelines. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequency and percentage. The results showed that all injuries occurred during competition (100%), with the dominant mechanism being direct contact between athletes (66.67%). Based on 11 injury events, injuries were most frequently found in the extremities, particularly the hands and feet (18.18% each). The most common type of injury was bone contusion (60%), followed by fractures and joint dislocations (20% each). The main cause of injury was contact with other athletes (83.33%). The estimated recovery time varied, ranging from no absence to more than six months. In conclusion, injuries in pencak silat sparring athletes are predominantly caused by direct contact, mainly affecting the extremities, with most injuries classified as mild to moderate, although severe injuries still occur. Therefore, comprehensive injury prevention strategies are needed through improved techniques, physical conditioning, and stricter match supervision.

Abstract

In order to promote students' capacity to engage in physical activities at their best, particularly in extracurricular sports, physical fitness is crucial. This study uses the Indonesian Student Fitness Test (TKSI) to assess the physical fitness of Muay Thai extracurricular students at SMAN 1 Tongas. Twenty male students served as the subjects of this quantitative descriptive research. The study instruments included T-tests, beep tests, depping tests, hand-eye coordination tests, vertical jump tests, and hand-touch reaction tests. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics in Microsoft Excel. The findings indicated that the majority of the components of arm muscular endurance, leg muscle explosive power, eye and hand coordination, and response speed fell into the good to very good range. In the meanwhile, the intermediate group dominated the cardiorespiratory endurance and agility components. Students who participated in Muay Thai extracurricular activities often had a moderate to high level of physical condition. These results show that Muay Thai extracurricular activities enhance students' physical fitness, but more organized training is still required to increase cardiorespiratory endurance and agility.

Abstract

Physical Education and Health has learning outcomes for students, one of which is healthy and clean living habits, and there is one factor that influences it, namely the student's interest factor. The condition of students who lack understanding about health so that PHBS must be implemented so as not to affect the quality of life. Interest and health factors may influence these learning outcomes. The study is designed to look at how students' interest in learning PJOK relates to their habits of living cleanly and healthily. It is hoped that the findings will offer useful suggestions, making the learning of PJOK more effective for students. It was conducted using a quantitative method and conducting research through correlations. Sampling using cluster random sampling techniques and drawing lots, so that the sample numbered 104 students, and using a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale as an instrument. The results of data analysis with quantitative descriptive statistics showed that students' interest in learning physical education and health was in the moderate category (46.2%) with students' PHBS being sufficient (32.7%). Additionally, the study findings were assessed using the Pearson product moment correlation test and indicated no discernible association between the variables under investigation. interest in learning physical education and health with clean and healthy living behaviors p = 0.099 (p>0.05). Interest in learning PJOK is not directly related to PHBS, but there needs to be guidance regarding this behavior in PJOK learning, because it can help improve clean and healthy living behavior in class X students at SMK Negeri 1 Duduksampeyan.

Abstract

Students' intrinsic drive to learn and their performance in PJOK (Physical Education, Sports, and Health) courses in tenth grade are the subjects of this research. Using a correlational strategy, the research takes a quantitative approach. A total of 395 students from SMA Negeri 1 Driyorejo make up the population. Using a cluster sampling approach, 70 students were chosen from 11 classes to make up the sample. Data on learning outcomes were derived from students' PJOK scores, and the study instrument was a learning motivation questionnaire that has been validated and demonstrated to be accurate in prior investigations. Because the variables did not follow a normal distribution, descriptive statistics were used to find out how the data was distributed, and inferential statistics were used to draw conclusions based on the data using Spearman rank correlation. C=0.520 (p>0.05) is the correlation coefficient that the data demonstrate. Based on these results, it seems that students' learning outcomes are unrelated to their desire to study. This provides further evidence that variables other than learning motivation, such as motor abilities and instructional strategies, impact PJOK learning results.

Abstract

This study examines Rivan Nurmulki’s jump serve motion during the men’s volleyball final at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand. This study is based on the importance of the serve as an offensive technique in modern volleyball, as it can influence point scoring and the momentum of the match. The objective of the study is to compare the movement characteristics of failed and successful jump serves based on biomechanical indicators. The method used is quantitative descriptive, with data consisting of match recordings from YouTube. Analysis was conducted using Kinovea to measure the approach distance, stride length, body angle, jump height, ball reach height, and ball speed. The results of the study indicate that successful jump serves exhibit more optimal movement patterns compared to failed serves. For successful serves, the approach distance was 471.75 cm, the first step was 107.46 cm, the second step was 139.85 cm, the jump height was 123.96 cm, the ball reach height was 387.89 cm, and the ball speed was 16.73 m/s. The success of the jump serve is influenced by the coordination of the approach, takeoff, body position, point of impact, and arm swing, making it a benchmark for evaluation by coaches and athletes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine differences in basic basketball dribbling skills between junior high school (SMP) students in rural and urban areas. This study employed a quantitative approach with a comparative design. The sample consisted of 116 eighth-grade students, including 60 from rural areas and 56 from urban areas, selected using cluster sampling. The research instrument consisted of a basketball dribbling skills test covering six different skill categories with a total of 24 assessment indicators using a dichotomous scale. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test. The findings of this study indicate that students in rural and urban areas exhibit significantly different basketball dribbling skills (p = 0.02). Compared to students in urban areas (M = 89.63; SD = 7.54), students in rural areas demonstrated higher average skills (M = 92.77; SD = 6.58). These results indicate that the development of students’ motor skills is influenced by environmental factors, particularly the amount of physical activity, daily movement experiences, and other external factors. Despite limitations in institutional facilities, the findings of this study suggest that ball dribbling skills can be developed more effectively in remote areas. The implications of this research highlight the importance of an adaptive and contextual approach to physical education teaching, tailored to the characteristics of the students’ environment.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in recent decades has driven a paradigm shift in sports evaluation from conventional methods to a data-driven performance approach. This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of a web-based basketball dribble assessment system to support teacher performance. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model integrated with formative evaluation. The research subjects consisted of web media experts, learning experts, basketball experts, and five junior high school physical education (PJOK) teachers selected using random sampling as end users. Data were collected using a content validation assessment sheet and a Likert scale questionnaire. The expert validation results showed a Scale-Content Validity Index (S-CVI) value of 0.97, indicating that the product has very strong content validity and is categorized as very feasible. Meanwhile, the results of user trials showed that the system obtained an overall average score of 4.58, categorized as very feasible. In detail, user assessments included aspects of appearance (4.48), material content (4.48), construction (4.68), and teaching relevance (4.68). This shows that the website-based basketball dribble assessment system is very feasible and has the potential to become an alternative evaluation solution that is objective, efficient, and digitally integrated in schools.
