Abstract

The slow development of kriket as a minor sport in Indonesia remains a problem, primarily due to a lack of support across various areas such as policy, facilities, and low public participation. Limited exposure and public awareness mean that this sport is not yet widely known compared to other sports. Therefore, a comprehensive study is required to identify the factors influencing the development of kriket in Indonesia. The aim of this study is to analyse the various factors that influence the development of kriket as a minor sport in Indonesia. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by PRISMA. Data was obtained from Google Scholar covering the years 2021–2025 using the keywords “kriket development”, “development of kriket”, “minor sport”, and “sports development factors”, resulting in 10 articles which were analysed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the development of kriket is influenced by several key factors, namely government support, the role of sports organisations, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, athlete development systems, and public participation and interest. It is concluded that the development of kriket requires synergy among various parties and integrated strategies to ensure optimal development. Consequently, more intensive efforts are required in coaching, promotion, and the provision of facilities, with the recommendation that.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain if ladder workouts help male futsal players from Bintang Lima FC Semarang become more agile. A quasi-experimental study using a one-group pretest-posttest design was the research methodology employed. Thirteen players were chosen by purposive sampling to make up the sample. Three training sessions each week were held over the course of the six-week ladder drill training program. The icky shuffle, reverse icky shuffle, two-foot forward, two-foot sideways, and in-and-out were the movement variants used. The Illinois Agility Test (IAT) was used to gauge agility levels, and the Paired Sample t-Test was used to analyze the results. Agility increased after the training session, according to the study's findings. The average pre-test time of 18.70 seconds decreased to 17.45 seconds in the post-test, a difference of 1.25 seconds. The ladder drill training program implemented showed a significant positive impact on the agility of the men’s futsal players at Bintang Lima FC Semarang. This was confirmed by statistical data, with a calculated t-value of 15.623 far exceeding the critical t-value of 2.179 and supported by a p-value of 0.000, which is still below 0.05.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between arm muscle strength and back muscle flexibility and the effectiveness of the koshi guruma technique among judo athletes. A quantitative approach with a correlational research design was employed. The study involved 20 athletes from Nararya Sport Club Semarang who were selected through purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria. Data were collected using a push-up test to assess arm muscle strength, a V sit-and-reach test to measure back muscle flexibility, and a koshi guruma skill test to evaluate the effectiveness of technique execution. The collected data were analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation and multiple correlation analyses. The findings revealed a significant positive relationship between arm muscle strength and the effectiveness of the koshi guruma technique, as indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.517 and a significance level of 0.020 (p < 0.05). In contrast, back muscle flexibility did not show a statistically significant relationship with the effectiveness of the technique, with a correlation coefficient of 0.318 and a significance value of 0.172 (p > 0.05). Furthermore, the results of the multiple correlation analysis demonstrated a significant simultaneous relationship between arm muscle strength and back muscle flexibility and the effectiveness of the koshi guruma technique, with an R value of 0.544 and a significance level of 0.039 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.296, indicating that the two independent variables jointly accounted for 29.6% of the variance in the effectiveness of the koshi guruma technique, while the remaining 70.4% was attributed to other factors beyond the scope of the study.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between competitive experience and self-confidence on receive ability in volleyball athletes of Porvit Kudus club. A quantitative correlational design with total  sampling was used, involving 14 respondents. Data were collected through a competitive experience questionnaire, a self-confidence scale, and match statistics for receive ability. Data analysis used Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The results showed no significant relationship between competitive experience and self-confidence on receive ability (p > 0.005), although a low positive correlation tendency was found. These findings indicate that receive ability is more influenced by technical and neuromotor factors. Therefore, structured and repetitive technical training is remommended to improve receive ability.

Abstract

The low quality of learning experiences in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PE) is currently a crucial issue exacerbated by the dominance of traditional, mechanistic learning models. In fact, the implementation of the PE curriculum in Indonesia is heavily dominated by game-based activities, where the implementation rate of big ball games reaches 60% to 76%, far exceeding other sports materials. This article aims to analyze the development of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) studies in the context of Physical Education to map conceptual trends and identify implementation gaps in the literature. This study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA protocol on 24 articles indexed by Scopus between 2016 and 2025. The findings indicate that PCK develops through three main axes: mastery of specific content (SCK), embodiment in practice (enacted PCK), and technology integration (TPACK). However, the literature identifies obstacles in the form of low teacher SCK and research focuses that remain conceptually partial. In response, this article offers an integrative framework that connects PCK with the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) model and the Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI). The synergy of these three elements creates a learning design that aligns with the principle of constructive alignment, resulting in a more meaningful, structured, and accountable PE instructional process in measuring student performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of student motivation towards the implementation of aerobic exercise as a physical fitness activity at the semi-military school of SMA Negeri Titian Teras H. Abdurrahman Sayoeti Jambi. The low variation of physical activity in the routine morning exercise program which has been dominated by Healthy Indonesian Children's Exercise is the background for this study. The method used is descriptive quantitative with a survey approach. The study population was all grade X students of SMA Negeri Titian Teras Jambi, with a sample of 100 students selected through a purposive sampling technique based on their active participation in morning exercise activities. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1–5 consisting of 40 valid statements, with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability value of 0.982. The results showed that the average overall score was 103.67 out of an ideal score of 175 (59.24%), which placed the level of student motivation in the sufficient to high category. A total of 91.0% of students were in the moderate to high motivation category, with 49.0% in the moderate category, 34.0% in the high category, and 8.0% in the very high category. Only 9.0% of students were in the low motivation category, and none were in the very low category. These findings indicate that aerobic exercise receives a positive response from students and has great potential to be developed as a superior fitness program in semi-military educational environments.

Abstract

Timely first aid for sports injuries is crucial to minimize the risk of tissue severity. This descriptive quantitative study aims to determine the level of knowledge regarding the RICE method (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) among 30 volleyball athletes (30% male, 70% female) at SMA Negeri 1 Sewon, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data were collected from May 14–16, 2026, using a 29-item questionnaire. The results indicated that the athletes' overall knowledge was categorized as good (37% or 11 athletes) with an average score of 26.1. However, a gap in understanding across components was observed. While athletes highly mastered the Ice component (93% in the good category) , other components were still dominated by the moderate (cukup) category: Rest (53%) , Compression (37%) , and Elevation (47%). In conclusion, although the athletes' general knowledge is good, their technical understanding of rest, compression, and elevation requires improvement. Periodic practical training or clinical simulations conducted by the school and coaching staff are highly recommended.
