Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of the world is so fast marked by the very rapid progress of science and technology, globalization has an impact on all sectors of life, including education. Globalization poses a challenge to the world of education that in the 21st century, 4C competencies (Communication, Collaboration, Critical thinking, and Creativity) are needed so that students in their lives in the future are able to compete and survive in the midst of global competition. The development of 4C competencies in students can be done with various approaches, one of which in this study is the development of contextual learning-based learning e-modules. Through this module, students are presented with factual knowledge that is close to their environment and life so that they can develop critical and creative thinking skills. Communication and collaboration skills are developed with group discussions to complete the exercises in the module. The module was developed using the ADDIE model, based on expert assessments, the atmospheric dynamics learning e-module got a score of mode 4 which was declared feasible to use. Meanwhile, based on the assessment, students got a mode score of 5 on each aspect of the assessment which means very good. Test the effectiveness of the e-module on students with a pretest-post test only design, the score increased from 56.67 to 84.00, which means that the e-module is effective to use.

Abstract

Tasikmalaya is one of the cities in West Java Province with a total population of 716,155 people in 2020 with a growth rate of 12.70% compared to the population in 2010. Cihideung District is the area with the largest population density of 13,202 people/km2 and Tamansari District is the area with the smallest population density of 2,083 people/km2. Meanwhile, the population density of Tasikmalaya City is around 3,887 people/km2. However, the number of existing hospitals has not increased significantly and is also unable to accommodate and reach this very large population. For this reason, it is necessary to add hospitals with strategic locations, one way to do that can be done with the help of a geographic information system. By using the descriptive-quantitative method, the existing data were analyzed using a correlation approach and depicted factually, systematically and accurately. Referring to the data from the overlay analysis, the determination of the new hospital land location should be placed in areas with high population density, these locations include the districts of Cibereum, Mangkubumi, Bungursari, and Purbaratu, as well as in the northern and southern areas of Tasikmalaya City.

The objective of this study was to review  and compare the selection of water quality monitoring parameters in India and Indonesia. The used method was descriptive analyses. The results of the study showed several findings: first, in terms of regulation, India was lesser than that of Indonesia; second, India used the water quality index to assess the state of water quality, while Indonesia used the STORET method or the water pollution index; third, India had legally stipulated the main parameters in considering the status of water quality, whereas Indonesia had yet to stipulate it; and forth, there were 10 water quality parameters that were often used in both India and Indonesia, namely pH, BOD, COD, DO, nitrate, phosphate, temperature, TDS, TSS, and total coliform. Therefore, these parameters should be selected as the key parameters to monitor water quality.
