Abstract

Abstract. Schools can represent the use of learning methods in developing students' skills. The process of using learning methods requires evaluation to determine the level of achievement of learning objectives. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using outdoor study in developing spatial intelligence at SMA Angkasa Husein Bandung. This research uses the expose facto, with a quantitative approach. Collecting data using a questionnaire with analytical techniques using linear regression test and correlation coefficient test. The variables in this study are the effectiveness of the outdoor study as the independent variable and spatial intelligence as the dependent variable. The sample in this study was 90 students. The results showed that the effectiveness at the planning stage got a score of 4 out of 5. At the implementation stage it got a score of 10.4 out of 12 and the evaluation score showed 90% achieved progress. The effectiveness of the outdoor study correlates with spatial intelligence with an R count of 0.824, meaning that value of the effectiveness of the outdoor study students' spatial intelligence has a very significant effect of 82.4% which shows that the outdoor study method is effective in developing spatial intelligence. The coefficient of determination Rsquare (R2)is 0.515 or 51.5%. This shows that the effectiveness of the outdoor study contributes to the spatial intelligence of students by 51.5%, the remaining 48.5% is influenced by other factors not mentioned in this study. In conclusion, the effectiveness of the outdoor study can develop students' spatial intelligence effectively in this study.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the orientation of the coastal communities of Palu Bay post-disaster of the tsunami, especially in the West Mamboro and Panau villages, and the reasons why people still live in the red zone area. This type of research is qualitative research with a spatial approach. The research subjects were people who rebuild in the red zone area. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and interviews then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that: (1) Community experience, almost all respondents have quite a lot of experience in tsunami-prone areas, (2) Community knowledge is obtained by respondents already having sufficient knowledge about the tsunami hazard, but the community still lacks understanding regarding what types of buildings can reduce the impact of the tsunami disaster, (3) The orientation of living or the point of view of the people who still live in the red zone area shows that the community still inhabits or returns to settle in the red zone area for different reasons where the area they currently live in is where they work to earn a living, moving they can't find their jobs that they have been working on for a long time, as for another reason people still occupy the red zone because the land they live in is currently a loss to leave..

Abstract

This research discusses the impact of the Independent Campus Learning Policy (MBKM) launched by the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture. MBKM has created a new paradigm in the education system in Indonesia, especially in higher education. Tadulako University, as an educational institution that follows government policy directions, has implemented the MBKM program. In this context, geography education has been implemented and entered the next generation. Therefore, evaluation of the effectiveness of this program is considered important. Previous research has revealed the positive impact of Merdeka Belajar Merdeka Campus on student quality. Student quality involves increasing knowledge, understanding, experience, creativity, communication skills, social relations, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. This study investigates the impact of MBKM activities on students' abilities, particularly in basic competencies such as literacy, numeracy, and geography knowledge. This research method is a descriptive quantitative approach using survey methods. The survey was conducted on students who had participated in the MBKM program. The research instrument is a competency test that involves aspects of literacy, numeracy, and general knowledge of geography. The results showed that the MBKM program had a positive impact on improving student abilities. The geography education study program is also seen as excellent, with a literacy understanding level reaching 50% in the adequate category, a numeracy understanding level of 39% in the adequate category, and a general knowledge understanding level reaching 44% in the good category

Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching resources for disaster mitigation and adaptation that are integrated into geography subject with a focus on Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS). Up until stage three define, design, and develop research and development processes are conducted using 4D models. Small-group product trials were conducted as an experimental class. The trial findings suggest that the designed learning gadget is valid, practical, and effective. Expert-validated items have a respectable qualification of 80% for their continued existence. Teachers rated the learning device's practicality at 89.93%, whereas students gave it a rating of 77.97% for SETS learning and 75.50% for courses on disaster mitigation and adaptation. With a score of 0.40, the effectiveness test findings were deemed effective in the medium category. Therefore, the prepared syllabus, lesson plans, modules, and assessments that are the result of learning tools for geography subjects in class XI social studies for Disaster Mitigation material with a SETS vision are appropriate for use as learning tools.

Abstract

This dedication is motivated by the activities of the Teaching Campus Batch 5 which is a form of implementing the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program from the Ministry of Education. This program is based on the ineffective implementation of learning carried out at the present time. This can be seen from the decrease in students' interest in learning, the level of understanding of students when learning, and students' literacy and numeracy abilities. Based on these problems affect the effectiveness of the learning process, one of which is at SDN Negeri 26 Palu. One of the methods used in community service is in the form of literacy and numeracy habituation activities. The end result of this activity is literacy and numeracy habituation for students at SD Negeri 26 Palu and increasing the real role and contribution of tertiary institutions and students in national development.

Abstract

Abstract: The Teaching Campus Program is one of the policies produced by the Ministry of Education and Culture with the main aim of improving the quality of education in Indonesia. The aim of this Teaching Campus activity is to find out how far the implementation of the program from the Class 5 Teaching Campus is an embodiment of contributing to learning while having an impact. Students as agents of change can help the quality of education on a national and international scale. AKM (Minimum Capability Assessment) is a government policy as a substitute for the National Examination (UN) where the AKM concept is useful for measuring students' literacy and numeracy skills as well as understanding of the use of technology. Analysis of answers based on the two tables above between the pre-test and post-test in literacy increased by a difference of 8%, while in numeracy there was a drastic decrease with a difference of 28%. This shows that students lack understanding regarding numeracy, so efforts are needed to improve student numeracy at SD Inpres 3 Talise. Implementation of the Class 5 Teaching Campus Program in implementing and guiding technology adaptation at SD Inpres 3 Talisehas been achieved in accordance with the objectives of the Teaching Campus Program, where students and teachers will be able to optimize the use of technology.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of the zoning system on students' learning achievement at class VII SMPN 9 Palu. This research used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population in this research was all students at class VII SMPN 9 Palu, totaling 231 students, and 25% or 57 of them would be taken as samples. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation techniques. The research instrument was tested with validity and reliability tests. Data analysis used percentage descriptive statistics, correlation statistics, chi-square statistics, linearity test statistics, and homogeneity tests. This research proves the zoning system's positive and significant effect on the students' learning achievement at class VII SMPN 9 Palu. The calculation of student achievement in the conversion table found the average value of student learning achievement of 56.86, which is in the medium category. The results of the analysis calculation on the normality test using chi-squared statistics obtained chi-squared count = 13.97 with chi-squared table = 11.070, then chi-squared count < chi-squared table. The analysis results on the linearity test using the Fobs statistic were obtained = 0.596 with Ftable = 5.05 then Fobs ≤ Ftable..The analysis results on the homogeneity test X2obs = 0.347 with X2 table = 3.841 then X2obs ≤ X2table. The t-test obtained tcount = 12.681 with ttable = 0.632. Because of the value of tcount > ttable, it can be concluded that the correlation is significant or the working hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.
