Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the physical fitness domain of students at SMP Negeri 14 Mataram using the Tes Kebugaran Pelajar Nusantara (TKPN). A quantitative descriptive design was used with 44 students consisting of 22 boys and 22 girls. The analysis focused on four TKPN performance components available in the dataset, namely the PACER test, squat thrust, sit and reach, and sit up. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and percentage distributions based on fitness categories. The findings showed that boys consistently demonstrated a better fitness profile across all test components. In the PACER test, 50.0% of boys were classified as good and 9.1% as very good, while 81.82% of girls were classified as poor. Similar patterns were found in squat thrust, sit and reach, and sit up, where the proportion of girls in the poor category ranged from 72.73% to 81.82%. These findings indicate a clear descriptive gap in physical fitness profiles between boys and girls. TKPN can serve as a practical school-based tool for monitoring student fitness and for designing more targeted physical education interventions.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of internal and external imagery training on the accuracy of lofted passes among football players at SSB Putra Buana. The study used a two-group pretest-posttest experimental design. From a population of 48 players, 20 players aged 13-14 years who met the attendance and training-history criteria were selected and assigned to two treatment groups. Passing accuracy was measured before and after a six-week intervention using a lofted-passing accuracy test. Data were analyzed descriptively and supported by assumption tests and t-tests. The assumption tests indicated acceptable normality and homogeneity, with all reported p-values above 0.05. Both groups improved after the intervention, but the external imagery group showed a larger increase from 62% to 80% (+18%; p = 0.01) than the internal imagery group, which improved from 60% to 70% (+10%; p = 0.05). These findings suggest that, in this sample, external imagery was more effective for improving lofted-passing accuracy. Structured imagery training can therefore be considered as a complementary method in youth football technical training.

Abstract

This study analyzed the development of surfing as a sport tourism attraction in the Senggigi Beach area, West Lombok Regency. The study used a descriptive quantitative design with questionnaire-based data collection. Respondents consisted of 40 stakeholders, including local surfing athletes, surfing organization administrators, MSME actors, outdoor-equipment rental providers, and villa owners around Senggigi Beach. Data were analyzed descriptively using percentages. The findings show that accessibility to the location (80%) and the presence of local MSMEs (70%) were the strongest supporting factors for surfing-based sport tourism development. Meanwhile, tourism infrastructure management (60%) and the availability of surfing training (55%) were rated as moderate, whereas cooperation with government stakeholders (45%) emerged as the weakest aspect. These results indicate that Senggigi has promising potential to strengthen surfing as a sport tourism product, but better governance, supporting facilities, and coordinated stakeholder collaboration are still needed to support sustainable destination development.

Abstract

This study examined the effects of relay dribbling and zig-zag dribbling training on dribbling ability among participants in the football extracurricular program at SMAN 1 Lingsar. The study employed an experimental two-group pretest-posttest design involving 20 participants. Dribbling ability was measured using a field-diagram dribbling test administered before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed through normality and homogeneity testing followed by t-test analysis. The relay dribbling group improved from 60% at pretest to 75% at posttest, with an increase of 15% and a significance value of 0.05. The zig-zag dribbling group improved from 62% to 85%, with an increase of 23% and a significance value of 0.01. These findings indicate that both training methods improved dribbling ability, but zig-zag dribbling produced a greater improvement. Therefore, zig-zag dribbling can be considered the more effective method for improving dribbling ability in the context of school football extracurricular training.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of target-game training using Zig-Zag Goal and Bolbal Shoot on shooting accuracy in Kerembong FC futsal players. A quasi-experimental two-group pretest-posttest design was used with 30 active players divided into two training groups of 15 participants each. The intervention lasted six weeks with a frequency of three sessions per week, and shooting accuracy was measured before and after the program using a goal-target shooting test. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity testing, and paired-samples t-tests. The results showed that both groups improved significantly. The Zig-Zag Goal group increased from 65% at pretest to 85% at posttest, while the Bolbal Shoot group increased from 60% to 78%. Assumption tests showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous (p > 0.05). These findings indicate that both training methods positively affected shooting accuracy, but Zig-Zag Goal produced a larger descriptive gain. Therefore, Zig-Zag Goal can be prioritized as a more effective training alternative for improving shooting accuracy in the context of club-based futsal training.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and social support on competition anxiety among karate athletes at Dojo Seishin Seteluk. The research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive design, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to 12 karate athletes. The variables analyzed were self-efficacy, social support, and competition anxiety. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with SPSS software. The results indicate that there is no significant relationship between self-efficacy, social support, and competition anxiety among the karate athletes. However, the study provides valuable insights into psychological factors that may influence athletic performance, showing a negative relationship between self-efficacy and competition anxiety. Therefore, it can be concluded that self-efficacy and social support, when considered simultaneously, do not significantly affect competition anxiety in karate athletes at Dojo Seishin Seteluk.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of physical education teachers in the implementation of the School Health Movement (GSS) in SMP Negeri Se-Kecamatan Praya, Central Lombok, during the 2023/2024 academic year. A descriptive survey design was used, and data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 12 physical education teachers from selected schools. The results showed that the role of physical education teachers in implementing GSS was significant, with an average score of 90.58%, categorized as "Excellent". Teachers played a crucial role in promoting healthy living habits, monitoring student hygiene, and ensuring a healthy school environment. The study found that while there was a significant contribution in promoting healthy behaviors, areas such as observing student behavioral abnormalities and recognizing signs of infectious diseases still need improvement. The study suggests that physical education teachers play an essential role in fostering health and wellness in schools, contributing to the overall success of the GSS program.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of two shooting drills, Canada Shooting Drill and 3 Ball 5 Player Shooting Drill, on the improvement of shooting accuracy in basketball players. The research used an experimental design with a pre-test and post-test method, conducted over six weeks of training. A total of 10 basketball athletes participated in the study, divided into two groups: one group using the Canada Shooting Drill and the other using the 3 Ball 5 Player Shooting Drill. The results showed a significant improvement in shooting accuracy for both groups, with the 3 Ball 5 Player Shooting Drill group showing a greater improvement (0.9 points) compared to the Canada Shooting Drill group (0.7 points). The findings were confirmed by paired sample t-tests, which indicated significant differences in the pre-test and post-test results for both groups. These results suggest that both drills effectively enhance shooting skills, with 3 Ball 5 Player Shooting Drill slightly more effective in improving shooting accuracy.

Abstract

This study examined the effects of the traditional games boi-boian and bentengan on 100-meter sprint performance among tenth-grade male students of SMKN 1 Gerung. The study employed a quantitative quasi-experimental approach with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of 18 students, all of whom were involved as research subjects and randomly assigned into the boi-boian group (n = 9) and the bentengan group (n = 9). The intervention was implemented for 18 sessions over six weeks. The instrument was a 100-meter sprint test, and the best time from three trials was recorded at pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed descriptively, followed by paired-sample t-tests and an independent-sample t-test on gain scores at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that boi-boian significantly reduced sprint time from 13.81 ± 0.46 s to 12.87 ± 0.55 s (t = 12.24; p < 0.001), with an improvement of 6.82%. Bentengan also significantly reduced sprint time from 13.93 ± 0.61 s to 13.32 ± 0.60 s (t = 11.68; p < 0.001), with an improvement of 4.39%. The comparison of gain scores indicated that boi-boian produced a significantly greater improvement than bentengan (t = 3.56; p = 0.003). These findings indicate that both traditional games can be used to enhance sprint performance, although boi-boian provided the larger effect in this study.
