Abstract

Indonesia, as one of the largest coffee-producing countries in the world, faces challenges in managing coffee exports which are affected by fluctuations in global coffee prices and the rupiah exchange rate. This study aims to analyze the simultaneous impact of coffee prices and exchange rates on the value of Indonesian coffee exports. Using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method, this study explores the short-term and long-term relationship between coffee prices, exchange rates, and Indonesian coffee exports from 2001 to 2023. The results show that coffee prices and exchange rates have a significant influence on Indonesia's coffee exports, with a long-term relationship that shows that rupiah depreciation and higher coffee prices increase export value. These findings highlight the importance of policies that support coffee price and exchange rate stabilization to increase the competitiveness of coffee exports. This can be done by improving the quality of coffee beans and increasing the resources of coffee farmers in Indonesia. For further research, it is recommended to integrate more non-price factors, such as branding, the role of certification bodies, social and cultural factors that can affect the global market demand for coffee.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the extent to which remittances, exports, and foreign direct investment influence the foreign exchange reserves in BRICS countries. This study is quantitative in nature, employing a causality approach. The research objects are the BRICS countries, consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from the World Bank and analyzed using panel data processing techniques. This study uses panel data analysis methods with the help of the EViews program for the period from 2009 to 2023. Kata kunci: Exports, Foreign Exchange Reserves, FDI, Remittances

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the socio-economic factors that influence household food security in the peatland area of Palangka Raya City. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach through secondary data processing and multiple linear regression analysis covering variables such as income, food expenditure, food prices, market access, and income diversification. The results show that household food security is still vulnerable, especially among low-income households and those with high food expenditure. Partially, income has a significant positive effect, food expenditure has a significant negative effect, and food prices have a marginal positive effect, while market access and income diversification have no significant effect. The R² value of 0.706 indicates that the model is able to explain the variation in food security well. These findings emphasise the importance of strengthening household economic capacity and stabilising food prices and supply as strategic steps to improve food security in peatland areas, thus contributing significantly to the formulation of regional economic development and food security policies.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamic interactions between monetary and fiscal policies and their effects on inflation and unemployment in Indonesia. The study employs a Vector Autoregression (VAR) approach using annual data from 2000 to 2024. The variables include the policy interest rate (BI Rate), inflation, unemployment, GDP growth, government expenditure, exchange rate, and tax revenue. The unit root tests indicate that the variables exhibit a combination of I(0) and I(1) integration orders, while the Johansen cointegration test confirms the existence of a long-run equilibrium relationship among the variables. The optimal lag length is determined to be two, and the stability test confirms that the VAR model is stable. The Granger causality test reveals that the BI Rate significantly Granger-causes inflation and unemployment, whereas reverse causality is not supported. In addition, inflation is found to Granger-cause unemployment, and fiscal as well as external variables—government expenditure, tax revenue, and exchange rate—significantly affect inflation. The Impulse Response Function (IRF) results show that a positive shock to the policy interest rate gradually reduces inflation but leads to a short-run increase in unemployment. Furthermore, the Forecast Error Variance Decomposition (FEVD) indicates that inflation variability is largely driven by monetary policy shocks, while unemployment and economic growth fluctuations are mainly explained by fiscal policy and internal economic dynamics. These findings highlight the importance of strong coordination between monetary and fiscal policies to maintain macroeconomic stability in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of influencers’ value co-creation behavior on consumer engagement and purchase intention through perceptual constructs. Using a between-subject experimental design, 200 Indonesian social media users were exposed to either a co-creation or control video stimulus. The co-creation condition featured influencers providing personal insights and crea-tive usage of a product, while the control showed standard product infor-mation. Results indicate that co-creation content significantly enhances per-ceived product value but does not directly influence other perceptual con-structs or engagement. Mediation analysis found that perceived expertise, favorability, benevolence, and source likeability predict engagement, but are not directly triggered by content type. Engagement itself strongly predicts purchase intention. These findings suggest that while co-creation can improve product perceptions, it is not sufficient alone to drive engagement or purchase decisions. Practical implications highlight the importance of combining co-creation with authenticity and credibility to effectively influence consumer behavior in digital contexts.
