Abstract

The purposes of this service are to 1) increase catch and reduce operational costs through the supportingtechnology of fishing equipment, 2) improve the ability of Mixed Pelagic fishermen to use fishing aids such as GPS,Fish finder, use of shallow marine FADs and to read fishing maps independently, 3) train and practice the use of iceto preserve the caught fishes in accordance with the provisions, and 4) train and practice sweet pindang and fishpreservation. The benefits of this program are to increase the catch and reduce the operational costs of mixed pelagicfishermen. The method used in implementing science and technology for the community is Participatory RuralAppraisal (PRA). The implementation of this activity through counseling, training and demonstration and evaluationto see the effectiveness of the program so that the program will be socialized efficiently. The implementation offishing tools (GPS, fish finder, shallow marine FADs), read fishing maps independently, and the use of ice topreserve fish caught in accordance with the provisions, fish processing such as making sweet pindang andpreserving fish and potential maps fish catching).

Abstract

his paper is the result of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) activity by presenting the use ofAcrylic Manipulative Aids (APMA) for learning fraction concepts for math teachers. The purpose of the activity isto maximize active learning activities in the classroom and use teaching aids in mathematics learning activities. Thetarget is for junior high school teachers in Bulukumba District where 21 people are involved in the activity. Theform of activities is training, while implementation information is fulfilled by providing worksheets andquestionnaires as response sheets for activities. The results of the training activities carried out received a positiveresponse. Not only is APMA considered feasible as a medium of learning or teaching aids, but it can also be used tohelp students overcome difficulties in learning the concept of fractions, fraction operations consisting of addition,subtraction, multiplication, and division. In addition, by convincing the teacher to respond that APMA can completethe explanations contained in mathematics textbooks. In other words, in addition to learning by using learningresources derived from books, APMA is also useful to supplement the provision of understanding to students in theclassroom.

Abstract

Experiences from the fields of science cultivated by lecturers can be poured into teaching materials, textbooks, reference books, research materials, study materials, and the like that are full of benefits. The benefit of this training is to help the devoted lecturers in making compulsory outcomes from community service activities in the form of making videos. Video making material in the form of a collection of photos and videos that are owned so that it will become a digital archive that can be enjoyed by everyone. For this reason, cinematographic basic techniques are needed as a basic principle so that lecturers can process their photos and videos so they can talk a lot in accordance with the desired motivation. The steps are in the form of (1) smartphone settings (2) picture taking technique (3) narration making (4) editing technique (5) uploading to YouTube social media. Through the implementation of the Community Partnership Program it can be seen that the interest and enthusiasm of lecturers in Makassar State University is very high to learn and maximize the functions and features of smartphones, basic techniques for taking good pictures, how to process and edit video with a smartphone, to feel First experience of uploading videos to YouTube social media.

Abstract

The purpose of PKM training in the modification of Physical Education media for the KKG PJOK SD in the Cina sub-district of Bone Regency is to make learning media / teaching aids as a way to increase teacher professionalism and overcome the problem of limited physical education facilities. Training on making physical modification media for Physical Education has 2 output targets. The first is targeting SD Penjas teachers in Cina sub-districts to be able to design / design modified Physical Education media from used materials / goods, with various types according to the teaching material. The second target is skilled teachers to make modified Physical Education media in elementary schools that are attractive, effective, and efficient in their use in learning PJOK in SD.The methods used in service activities are: 1) Lecture to deliver; Basic concepts of modification media, Modification Objectives, Utilization of Modified Media for Physical Education learning, as well as materials for Design Development and Types of Physical Education learning media in SD. 2) The demonstration is used with the hope that participants can practice how to design used materials / goods to make modified physical education media in elementary schools. To further optimize the implementation of the training, assistance is provided by the service team, namely designing and making attractive and effective modification media of Physical Education according to the teaching materials of PJOK in SD, 3) Questions and Answers, used to respond to various obstacles faced by teachers in designing / designing, making modification media Physical Education and 4) Practices / simulations or trials of using the Modified Physical Education media in SD. The participation of partners during the training shows a responsive and active attitude in asking questions and completing tasks given by the service team. The results achieved by partners are showing motivation, knowledge and understanding so that they are able to design / design and make modified Physical Education media from used goods. Although in general the teachers are still constrained by several things; not used to making interesting media, time is very limited because of the many main tasks and other tasks; Sports coach, Scout, and so on. However, through this training it can provide knowledge in designing modified Physical Education media and make and use it to help teachers and students in the learning process to improve the quality of PJOK learning in SD sub-district Cina, Bone district

Abstract

The results of the implementation of ergonomics in deco and shop camps were specifically focused onimproving work facilities, workplaces, layouts, work procedures, and work environment, increasing workers'comfort in conducting production activities, and utilizing space so that the production process becomes safe andflexible. Outputs that have been achieved included (1) workstations arranged in an efficient material flow layoutsupported by adequate work tools so it can optimize the achievement of production targets, (2) improvement of theprocess and procedures for completing work, (3) improvement and savings in the use of materials, machinery/tools,and humans, (4) utilization of humans’ efforts, (5) improving workspace arrangements that can provide acomfortable and safe working environment. The implementation of participatory ergonomics production capacitycan reach 456 pieces/year and shop production as many as 24 pieces/year, for example; tiger, bear, eagle, cow headetc. After the ergonomic intervention, the production capacity increased to 52 pieces/year. The impact of thisprogram was an increase in production capacity of Ari deco craftsmen (67.5%) and Kubu shop craftsmen (46.15%),while business partners' turnover was around 69.9%.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) are people who are members of the Pabbata Ummi TPA Antang Foundation, which consists of Youth and Fathers groups and groups of mothers in RT 02 and 03 Tamangapa Village, Manggala District, Makassar City. The problem is: (1) constraints of knowledge and skills in processing plastic waste, especially for making paving blocks, (2) preparation of paving block manufacturing businesses. The external target is the use of plastic waste and technology that can turn it into a long-lived product so that it does not return to waste in a short time and has a high selling value so that it can improve the standard of living of citizens. The method used is: lectures, demonstrations, discussions, questions and answers, and counterpart partners. The results achieved are (1) partners have knowledge and skills in processing plastic waste, especially paving blocks, (2) partners have preparation to start a business making paving blocks.

Abstract

Setiap musim penghujan tiba, air meluap dari saluran drainase pada perumahan Tamarunang Indah yang menyebabkan terjadinya genangan air dan berdampak pada terganggunya aktivitas masyarakat. Hasil identifikasi yang dilakukan bahwa genangan-genangan yang terjadi disebabkan oleh berkurangnya daerah resapan air hujan dan kapasitas saluran drainase yang terbatas dalam menampung debit air yang ada. Selain itu, kebiasaan masyarakat membuang sampah ke saluran drainase menyebabkan saluran drainase tersumbat. Saluran drainase di Perumahan Tamarunang Indah I sebagian besar rusak, telah tertutup, dan kurang terawat. Metode yang akan dipakai dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut adalah sebagai berikut: (1) melakukan penyuluhan pengetahuan tentang cara memelihara drainase lingkungan; metode yang dipakai adalah diskusi dan tanya-jawab; (2) melakukan penyuluhan mengenai pola dan arah aliran drainase lingkungan; metode yang dipakai adalah ceramah, diskusi, dan tanya-jawab; (3) melakukan pelatihan keterampilan pembuatan drainase resapan; metode yang dipakai adalah diskusi, tanya-jawab, demonstrasi, dan latihan; (4) melakukan pelatihan penataan lingkungan; metode yang dipakai adalah diskusi, tanya-jawab, demonstrasi, dan latihan. Seluruh kegiatan program PKM ini direncanakan berlangsung selama delapan bulan dan akan dilakukan evaluasi pada akhir kegiatan. Beberapa hal yang telah dilakukan, antara lain: pemberian penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan drainase resapan yang berwawasan lingkungan, penataan drainase lingkungan, dan pemeliharaan lingkungan perumahan. Hasil telah dilakukan pada kegiatan ini adalah terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan, cara berfikir dan bertindak, kecakapan, dan mitra dalam memelihara lingkungan perumahan sehingga kondisi lingkungan menjadi bersih, indah, tertata, serta menyehatkan.

Abstract

A community service activity through the Community Empowerment program (KKN PPM) to improve school-age children's entrepreneurship skills and knowledge in Likupang Barat has been well implemented. The KKN PPM program aims to produce an action program for food crop cultivation by utilizing the schoolyard in an effort to instill the entrepreneurial spirit in school-age children and increase knowledge and skills in life skills through pilot projects of cultivation of food crops for school-age children in SMPN 1 Talise. The method used in the KKN PPM program was a combination of "application of science and technology appropriately" in cultivation of food crops with the "Pilot Project" learning approach or demonstration of farming by utilizing the schoolyard. Therefore, the children get life skill experience in the effort to characterize entrepreneurship. Moreover, this activity becomes a laboratory and learning resource for students of the Economic Education subjects as well as child character development. The results achieved in this program were the availability of the piloting food crops that can support the fulfillment of consumption needs. In addition, it can be used as a learning media for the Economic Education subject in an effort to instill an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as a source of school needs for school-aged children.

Abstract

The partner of this service program was the second semester students of Business English Study Program, Faculty of Language and Literature, State University of Makassar. The problem of partner was the lack of knowledge regarding conformity between noun and pronoun in an English sentence so that they continue to make mistakes in writing or expressing an English sentences. The expected outcome was the students have an understanding of noun-pronoun agreements in English and can make English sentences correctly both in oral and written form. The approach used in conducting this program consisted of two methods, namely the presentation and practice. The results achieved were the participants (1) have knowledge and understanding that are likely not at the same level regarding the basic theories of noun-pronoun agreement, (2) are able to adjust between pronoun with the noun that precedes the pronoun (antecedent) in an English sentence, and (3) around 95% are able to do exercises in accordance with the theories in oral or written form even though some of them or about 5% are sometimes still wrong in writing or saying the sentence in English.

Abstract

This Community Service is a Community Partnership Program that was carried out by to partners of the Brown Sugar Cane Business Group in Latellang Village, Patimpeng District. The processing of sugar cane so far has been very simple, and some of the sugar cane businesses were out of business due to the consumption and need for brown sugar cane by the community, especially the Latellang and other villages, who are reluctant to consume brown sugar cane. This reluctance is caused by the aroma of brown sugar cane. Therefore, diversification of brown sugar cane products was carried out by processing brown sugar cane into Liquid sugar and Recengan sugar. The results of the PKM program were able to provide partners with increased knowledge of processing brown sugar cane into a diversified product that has high economic value and reduced the price of brown sugar cane from Rp. 10,000 per kilogram into products with 250 grams of brown sugar cane as raw material. 2-3 bottles of Liquid Sugar (250 ml plastic packaging) with a price of Rp.10,000 per bottle and produce 15 pieces of Recengan Sugar. Especially for Recengan sugar packaging, it is packaged in pouch containing 8 Recengan sugar ata a price of Rp.10,000. The impact will be revive the production of cane brown sugar to the Cane Brown Sugar Business Group partners, especially in Latellang Village.
