Abstract

In this volunteerism training, 25 participants who were high school students were given material related tovolunteerism, especially volunteerism in the field of literacy. Participants who are in adolescence are classified assensitive to the social processes that occur. This training is expected to help improve the ability and usefulness ofadolescents for others, this can be seen from the increase in motivation to volunteer to participants. The training washeld for four days. After the training ended, it was obtained data that the motivation to become a volunteerincreased, as well as the volunteering outcomes of the participants

Abstract

Improper installation and not in accordance with PUIL standards of Monitoring device, will provide a detriment for consumers of electricity. The objectives to be achieved in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) are: (1) to increase the knowledge of Teachers and Students of Gowa 5 Vocational School (partners) to monitor and control the electrical equipment of the School Environment and electrical equipment using Smartphone/Computer, (2) To improve the skills of Teachers and Students of Gowa 5 Vocational School (partners) in making and utilizing the Raspberry-based Monitoring and Control system, (3) improving the skills of Teachers and Students of the National Vocational School and Somba Opu SMKT in making interface and application system based on Arduino Mega to monitor and control electrical equipment device of a house/building. The methods used of this Workshop are the lecture method, discussion, and demonstration. The results of this PKM are (1) Increasing Partner Knowledge in making Arduino Mega-based monitoring and control software, (2) Increasing Partner Skills in terms of making and utilizing Arduino Mega-based Monitoring and Control System for monitoring and controlling electricity devices of a house/building, (3) increasing Skill and knowledge of Partners in order to be able to provide easy solutions at Gowa 5 Vocational School, in monitoring and controlling electrical devices in the School environment, so that the tools can be controlled using smartphone, both from a close range or remotely. The method used in giving the material is the lecture method, and discussion while the application uses the demonstration method. The results of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) illustrate that the group of Teachers and Students of Gowa 5 Vocational School (partners) have: (1) possessed knowledge in making Raspberry-based Monitoring and Control device to monitor School Environments and electrical equipment using Smartphone/Computer, (2) have skills in making and utilizing Raspberry-based Monitoring and Control device, (3) having skills and knowledge to be able to provide easy solutions for Gowa 5 Vocational School.

Abstract

Understanding of electrical installation and the use of electrical equipment that is proper and safe, has a big contribution to the safety and security around us. The introduction of safe electrical installations according to the Indonesian National Standard, namely the General Requirements for Electrical Installations (SNI: PUIL 2011) needs to be disseminated to the public from an early age. The problems were: (1) Socialization of electrical installations is less socialized to the wider community, (2) Socialization of SNI PUIL 2011 is less socialized by related parties, (3) There is no special curriculum that provides practical skills to junior high school students regarding safe electrical installations. External targets are students: (1) Can recognize the components of simple electrical installations in their homes, (2) Understand the functions and workings of installation components, (3) Understand the procedures for installing electrical installations, (4) Be able to plan installation installations electricity. The methods used were (1) lectures on understanding the importance of safe electrical installations, the functions and workings of installation components, (2) demonstrations using electrical installation module boards, (3) Questions and answers and discussions. The results achieved included students: (1) Understanding of simple electrical installations in their homes, (2) Understanding of electrical installation procedures and planning, (3) Being able to plan installations

Abstract

Education always leads to the improvement of competence and qualifications of educators. Therefore,teachers as educators who are assigned to educate the next generation must have professional qualifications in theirrespective fields. As professional educators, both teachers and school principals are required not only to carry outthe tasks of managing, educating and teaching, but also must develop their professionalism. To be a professionaleducator, a teacher should be able to plan, carry out processes, assess learning outcomes, conduct guidance andcoaching, as well as conduct research and community service. One way to develop the teaching profession, theteacher must be able to make scientific work by conducting research activities. Many problems in learning that needsolutions, and one of the ways to improve the quality of learning is the teacher must carry out classroom actionresearch.

Abstract

Herlang Subdistrict is the largest producer of coconut juice (along with Selayar Regency and JenepontoRegency) which is the raw material for coconut sugar production in South Sulawesi. Tugondeng Village is one ofthe villages in Herlang District. About 80% of Tugondeng villagers work in the coconut sugar manufacturingindustry. However, this potential has not well developed due to the low economic value of brown sugar. To increasethe selling price of coconut sugar produced by Tugondeng Village, efforts need to be made to process coconut sapand coconut sugar into products which have higher selling price, namely palm sugar. The steps taken to achieve theobjectives of this activity were : (a) presentation of material on how to process coconut sap and coconut sugar intopalm sugar; and (b) demonstration of preparing palm sugar from coconut sap and coconut sugar. The resultsobtained show that the process of making palm sugar from coconut sap and coconut sugar is quite simple and thepalm sugar produced has longer shelf-life than coconut sugar

Abstract

This community partnership program (PPM) aims to improve teacher professionalism through modification of the learning model. Improving learning practices is an alternative for the development of quality of learning that is oriented towards the benefit of students. The method used in community partnership activities with resembles a ToT (trainer of trainer) form by collaborative-participatory dialogic approach includes in-house training (lectures, questions and answers, discussions) for the delivery of material, direct practice for making modifications to learning models, testing, modeling modification practices. Supervision and visits to ensure the running of training results and to get support from resources in the continued implementation of improving the quality of learning. The training participants in the community partnership program activities included 15 participants from several elementary school teachers in Kahu Subdistrict and also involved students as teacher assistants in modifying the learning model. The results achieved are knowledge partners about learning models, partners are able to modify learning models according to teaching materials and class situations that are innovative, interesting and fun.

Abstract

Partners of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) are people in Laguruda Village where the community in reality does not fully understand and know the procedures for preventing the spread of COVID-19 infection according to WHO standards. The problems are: (1) lack of knowledge on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19 according to WHO recommendations, (2) lack of knowledge on how to wash hands as recommended by WHO, (3) lack of hand washing facilities used to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and (4) not yet available practical hand washing tools to prevent the spread of COVID-19 . The external targets are (1) the people of Laguruda village understand how to wash hands properly according to WHO standards and (2) be able to reproduce practical hand washing tools that can be placed anywhere as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.. The methods used are: lectures, demonstrations, discussions, questions and answers, and companion partners. The results achieved are (1) partners have knowledge of how to prevent the spread of COVID-19, (2) partners have adequate hand washing facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and (3) partners have practical hand washing facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity was to convey the use of science and technology in increasing coconut oilproduction in the village of Tugondeng, Herlang District, Bulukumba Regency. Based on the identification of theproblem, the process of making coconut oil in the village of Tugondeng is still traditional, without the developmentof science and technology. Thus, the community service program team provided counseling on the process ofmaking coconut oil by fermentation. The results obtained show that the process of making coconut oil byfermentation only takes a short time in the heating process in order to minimize energy usage.

Abstract

This training aims to: 1) be more skilled in the world of catering 2) develop the potential that is already owned for its own and commercial uses independently. 3) increase productivity with catering and business activities. The training on empowering housewives through training in making pancakes of various flavors in Bantaeng Regency is a partnership program to the community as a solution to the problem of less productive housewives in Bantaeng Regency. The target audience for the training was 15 housewives in Bantaeng Regency. The training method is done in the form of lectures, questions and answers, discussions and practices. After conducting training to housewives through making pancakes of various flavors in Bantaeng Regency, it can be concluded that as many as 15 trainees have understood and understood well how to make various flavors of pancake cakes directly, both for themselves and others. The trainees not only were skilled in making pancakes of various flavors, production methods and marketing techniques also provided inspiration for the importance of empowering housewives through continuous catering training.

Abstract

The purpose of the desired activity is to introduce ways of using and making reading media and the application of lead reading strategies for elementary school teachers in Kabupaten Bantaeng because most primary school teachers have difficulty in making media read and implementing appropriate strategies for students regarding reading. This is due to the lack of media availability and how to use it is not equipped. The method used in the service is the delivery of material in lectures and demonstrations, the practice of making teaching aids by the participants, and the practice of using the teaching aids by groups of participants. The product produced during service is read media.
