Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide training on maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment for households to the Child Social Welfare Institution (LKSA) in Kalegowa Subdistrict, Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency which is a partner of the activity. The methods used in this service were: lectures, questions and answers, discussions and demonstration methods were used for training. The solution taken in solving partner problems, namely training activities for maintenance and repair of household electrical appliances based on project work is carried out to provide knowledge about basic concepts of electricity and electronics, basic electronic components, and repair of electrical household appliances. The results achieved in this service activity are 10 foster children of productive age from partners who are skilled and competent in repairing electrical household appliances, have knowledge of how to use electric and electronic measuring instruments, how to use electrical and electronic equipment, workshop management, K3, and entrepreneurship

Abstract

The purpose of this program is how kindergarten teachers can recognize, understand and be able to drawthematic cartoons. The identification of problems that are often encountered in kindergarten especially in MakassarCity is the lack of ability of kindergarten teachers in understanding and skillfully making thematic cartoons. Somerelated activities include: 1) Identification of thematic cartoons and their types for the kindergarten children categoryin Makassar City, 2) Introduction of thematic cartoons for teachers for kindergarten children in the form ofperformance, and, 3) The presentation form of the thematic cartoon which drew by teachers for kindergartenchildren. The results of this program, are: 1) The number of kindergarten teachers who have recognized andunderstood the types and forms of thematic cartoons for early childhood. There are funny cartoons, humorouscartoons, as well as criticism cartoons, 2) The teacher has been able to know the technique of drawing thematiccartoons in the form of performance. It has produced cartoons from funny pictures to critical ones. 3) The teacher isskilled at presenting thematic cartoons in a simple way.

Abstract

One of the natural potentials available in large quantities in the Tanete Village is the chicken farming sector. Efforts to empower the community of Tanete Village can be done by promoting appropriate technology. Food processing technology based on chicken meat is in the form of meatballs, sausages, jerky and crispy chicken skin crackers. The processed products are animal origin foods which are processed with the aim to have a longer shelf life and add flavor to the menu or daily dishes. Through this diversification the shelf life can reach more than 60 days. The purpose of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) is to change the mindset of housewives to be more creative in diversifying processed products from the local potential available in their villages, so as to be able to contribute greatly to the family economy.

Abstract

Teachers have an essential role in preparing human resources that can compete with the global community. Therefore, teachers are always required to develop their abilities and professionalism. One way to build their ability to provide effective learning to students is to carry out classroom action research. Most of the teachers in Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency still had a lack of understanding in carrying out classroom action research (CAR). Besides, there is a lack of knowledge about the writing of CAR reports and the production of scientific articles. The aim of this service is to provide online-based training to improve the understanding of CAR and scientific articles in Junior High School Teacher Group in Pangkajene and Islands Regency. A personal approach in the training process was carried out so that all teachers are expected to be able to compile proposals, reports, and scientific articles from the CAR report without any constraints. Lecture, discussion and mentoring methods are used in this training. From the implementation of this training, it was found that teachers got enormous benefits from attending this training. Teachers' understanding of CAR increased by 41%. In addition, the participants have also been able to compile a CAR proposal as well. This training can improve teacher competence and support teacher professionalism in providing effective learning.

Abstract

One form of mandatory activity for teachers in developing their competence is scientific publications.This is affirmed in Article 11 Peraturan Menteri PAN & RB No 16 tahun 2009 about Jabatan Fungsional Guru. Butin the field, there are still many teachers who have difficulty fulfilling the obligations of scientific publications sothat their careers are hampered. This also happened in the Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) XIV of Kota Parepare,specifically there were problems: 1) Limitations of understanding of scientific publications for the development ofprofessionalism and elementary school teacher careers, 2) Low competency in preparing applicative researchproposals for elementary school teachers, and 3) Low competency in the preparation of scientific articles andstrategies for publishing scientific articles in scientific journals. For this purpose, this service activity aims toprovide solutions to these problems, namely by implementing the Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) in theform of Research Assistance and Preparation of Scientific Articles Eligible Publication for Elementary Teachers.Activities are carried out in 3 stages: 1) debriefing material on Teacher Career Development Policy & itsRegulations, 2) Technical Guidance for Educational Research and 3) Technical Guidance for Preparing ScientificArticles that are Publication. After all stages of the PKM have been implemented, it can be concluded that theimplementation of this PKM has provided a solution to the partner's problems. Although individually not allteachers are able to achieve the target, in general the teachers of the KKG XIV Kota Parepare members have beenable to improve: 1) their insights on Teacher Career Development Policies & Regulations, 2) their ability totechnically plan and carry out educational research and 3) his ability to technically compile scientific articles that areworthy of publication.

Abstract

Sidenreng Rappang districts is one of the rice producing centers in South Sulawesi. Along with the increasing amount of rice production, the waste produced by the production process also increases. Rice husk is a waste from the rice milling industry. Rice husk ash has very high pozzolanic activity so that it has the potential to be used as a substitute material or as a cement additive in a mixture of building materials such as paving blocks. Paving blocks are widely applied for road pavement, such as sidewalks, parking areas, residential streets, harbor areas, parks and others. Through the Community Partnership Program (PKM) efforts will be made to empower the community by involving farmer groups and youth youth groups in Kab. Sidrap in order to improve the economic life of the community. Communities are taught appropriate technology in making paving blocks through the use of press machines to produce paving made from raw rice husk ash which is expected to replace paving blocks from a mixture of cement and sand.

Abstract

Dance as a form of art is an expression of human feelings expressed by body movements that have undergone processing, sterilization or distortion, which manifests into a natural aesthetic expression. Dance in the world of education, has a positive impact, not only for the preservation of dance, but also for the benefit of education itself. The age of junior high school students ranges from 13 to 15 years and belongs to the early adolescence group, where the transition from childhood to adulthood experiences development of all aspects or functions to enter adulthood. As a successor to the nation, if it is not directed to something positive, it could be that junior high school students will experience the tendency of negative traits as described previously. For this reason, a positive media is needed to build the positive character of middle school students who experience age transition. One of them is dance with its learning can be used as a means of expression, imagination and creativity to foster a rational and emotional balance, intellectual and aesthetic awareness. On the basis of these problems, a community activity program was made "Creative Work Creation PKM in Junior High School 3 Bissapu Bantaeng Regency". The results of these activities produce; (1) Creative Dance adds insight into students' skills in dance, (2) Through this activity students are familiar with dance and know the process of its creation, (3) The creation of creative dance performances based on the movement of the tradition of South Sulawesi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of price and value added value from dangkeproduction to dangke chips. This research was carried out for two months, from April to May 2018. The place ofresearch was on the home industry producing dangke chips and dangke production in Cendana Village, CendanaDistrict, Enrekang Regency. The method used in this research was to take primary data and secondary data. Primarydata was obtained through direct interviews using the questionnaire. Secondary data was obtained through literaturethat supports and has a relationship with this research. Data analysis was attained through the following methods,namely; 1) calculate the estimated profit of dangke production; 2) calculate the estimated profit of dangke chipsproduction; 3) comparing the difference in costs between dangke production and dangke chips production. Theresults of this study indicated that the quantity and quality of production are strongly influenced by management ofpre and post cow milk management, feeding and health of dairy cattle. The quality of dangke chips is alsoinfluenced by the quality of cow's milk and the quality of dangke as a basic ingredient. Daily profit estimated fordangke production, amounting to Rp. 300,835; and the production of dangke chips was 3,992,170. Value addedprofit or difference in estimated daily profits from the production of dangke chips and dangke production amountedto Rp. 3,691,335. In another word, the dangke chips production is more profitable than dangke production.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) partner is OSIS SMA 5 Barru. The problem is: (1) low motivation in speaking activities, especially in public. The lack of confidence is always experienced by students, so there is no courage to speak in public and (2) limited knowledge, techniques, experience, and public speaking skills. The method used is three stages, namely (1) providing material, (2) practice or simulation, and (3) mentoring. The results achieved are (1) partners have motivation, enthusiasm, and self-confidence can speak in public and (2) partners have knowledge, techniques, experience, and skills when speaking in public, including in supporting activities in carrying out activities in school and community.

Abstract

The implementation of this Community Parthnership Program, PkM aims to improve the understanding of SMAN Negeri 05 Tinggi Moncong teachers about the principles and steps of developing HOTS-based evaluation instruments, the format and components of HOTS-based evaluation instruments, and skilled in preparing HOTSbased evaluation instruments, with a minimum target of 90% of participants of PkM training is able to prepare evaluation instruments well. The implementation of this  activity involved three lecturers from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University, with a background in chemistry and chemistry education. The method applied in the implementation of this PkM is by applying various methods of presentation or lectures, question and answer, discussion, and practice / performance. Then it was continued as an independent assignment outside the classroom for 5 days. All of these activities were carried out online due to the COVID 19 pandemic conditions. This activity succeeded in improving the ability of SMA 05 Tinggi Moncong teachers in developing HOTS-based evaluation instruments
