Abstract

The development of creativity in the 21st century is a skill that requires students to master perseverance and problem solving combined with good teamwork. Creativity in the skill component of the 21st century is a much-needed new demand. Along with the rapid development of the era, education's role becomes essential in preparing students, especially vocational schools that emphasize the mastery of science, skills, attitudes, and values needed by the industrial world, to have 21st-century skills. This is done by changing teachers' roles from information providers and communicators to facilitators to share information and knowledge and train learners' problem-solving skills. Constructivism learning is one alternative to practising 21st-century skills. Meaningful problem-based learning is applied primarily to help thinking skills, problem-solving, and intellectual skills and learning to be an independent and creative learner.

Abstract

Leachate which is the result of seepage from waste contains high organic pollutants. Therefore, leachate water needs to be treated first before disposal so as not to pollute the environment. Meanwhile, the leachate from the Putri Cempo landfill (TPAS) Mojosogo is discharged into the environment without being treated first because the existing installation is no longer functional. The general objective of this research plan is to analyze the impact of leachate from the Putri CempoMojosongo landfill (TPAS) on the quality of groundwater and river water. The specific objectives of this study were to measure the quality content of leachate water from TPAS Putri CempoMojosongo, to measure groundwater quality content (observation well-water), to measure river water quality before contamination with leachate water, to measure river water quality after contamination with leachate water, and to measure ground water quality of residents at a distance of 0-75 meters TPA; 76-150 meters; 156-225 meters; 225-300 meters; 301-375 meters; and 376-450 meters. This type of research is observational research with measurements and direct observations into the field. Water sampling is carried out by considering the criteria for pollutant sources and the distance of the pollution. The required amount of sample water is taken based on the calculation of the volume of sample requirements. The types of data used include primary and secondary data. Leachate samples were taken from the trenches along the TPAS because the leachate storage pool was not functioning. Groundwater sampling was taken from the closest observation well water to the TPAS, while river water sampling was carried out at a distance of 50 m before and 50 m after the outlet. Sample examination was carried out at the Yogyakarta Center for Environmental Health and Disease Control Engineering. The results of this study indicate that the quality of leachate exceeds the standards for parameters BOD, COD, and TSS. The quality of river water still exceeds the quality standard both before and after being contaminated with leachate water. As for the water quality of observation wells 1 and 2, the conditions are still in accordance with the standards for all parameters, but in the resident wells in each 75meters distance there are still quality parameters that exceed the standard. The parameters include turbidity, organic matter, Mn, and NO3. From these results, the leachate should be treated before disposal so that it does not pollute the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Physical activity is one part of occupational therapy, especially in the activity of the kneejoint, where the knee joint is an important part of the movement of the human body. Themovement of the knee joint gets weaker as people age, this is experienced by the elderly. Elderlyare elderly people who often experience knee joints, in addition to the age factor of the kneejoint, it is also influenced by post-accidents, strokes and so on which results in weak knee jointfunction. To restore and function the knee joint, a tool that controls the function of the knee jointis needed, namely a robot manipulator. This robot is a tool that works automatically the same asthe function of the leg which can move the knee joint without any effort from human power butcan be controlled via an Android-based smartphone. This robot manipulator tool works andfunctions with instructions via Android in the form of button control facilities that are onAndroid and also uses voice commands to control the robot. This manipulator robot consists ofseveral main supporting components, namely the controller, manipulator, power supply unit, sensor and actutor. This Robot Manipulator provides a speed setting mode on the tool, so that theuser can adjust the speed of the tool according to its capacity. Also, the movement of this toolcan provide convenience and reduce the risk of weak knee joints. Testing and implementingrobot manipulators for the elderly certainly needs to be analyzed for their achievements byanalyzing using the Wilcoxon Rank test, where this test applies the pretest, namely the initialsafeguards before the use of robots and posttest, namely the action after using the manipulatorrobot.

Abstract

Solar cells or also often called photovoltaics are device with two terminals or connections capable of converting direct sunlight into electricity.which can then be distributed and used for the needs of electrical loads. Solar systems typically use batteries to store excess energy captured during the day for further use at night when there is no sunlight or is used during the day when sunlight radiation is very small, for example when it is dark. or not enough light works like a diode, and when illuminated with sunlight can produce voltage. When illuminated, generally one commercial solar cell produces a dc voltage of 0.5 to 1 volt, and a short-circuit current in milliampere scale per cm2. This large voltage and current is not enough for various applications, so generally a number of solar cells are arranged in series to form solar modules. One solar module typically consists of 28-36 solar cells, and the total produces a dc voltage of 12 V under standard illumination conditions. The current-voltage curve is nonlinear. The greater the load resistance, the closer the load voltage will be to the value of the open connect voltage (Voc) of the solar panel. While the smaller the load resistance, the current flowing into the load will get closer to the short circuit current (Isc) of the solar panel. The power-voltage curve is nonlinear. Solar panel power will be maximum if at the load flows the maximum current (Im) and has a maximum voltage (Vm). The addition of a load that has resistance (R) is smaller than the maximum load resistance, then the power will increase close to the maximum power value (Pm) of the solar panel. While the increase in the load that has resistance (R) is greater than the maximum load resistance, the power will decrease from the maximum power of the solar panel. The longer the cable is used, the maximum power of the solar panels will decrease. The tilt of the solar panels towards the angle comes sunlight affecting the maximum power generated by solar panels.
