Abstract

This studyaims to describe the answer errors of students with extrovert-introvert personalities when solving story problems with material blocks and cubes based on the newman procedure. This type of research is a qualitative descriptif study. The subject in this study involved 29 junior high school students. The object of this research is the extrovert-introvert personality student’s answer errors in solving block and cube story problems based on the newman procedure. Data collection techniques used were distributing personality questionnaires and test questions on blocks and cubes, as well as direct communication (interview).The results of the personality questionnaire taken were 3 students with high extrovert personalitiesand 3 students with high introvert personalities Analysis framework to reveal errors using newman procedure While the analysis technique uses qualitative data analysis of miles and huberman. The results of the errors made by students in this study were reading errors (R), misunderdtsnding problems (C),transgormation errors (P), and final answer errors (E).This mistakes made by extrovert-introverted students were mostly transformation errors (T), processing skills errors (P), and final answer errors(E). Keywords: Errors Answer, Extrovert-Introvert Persobality, Procedure Newman

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical concepts contained in forming the motifs of the Sambas Malay Tribe songket cloth and to describe the Sambas Malay Tribe songket woven cloth. This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Subjects in this study were songket woven cloth craftsmen in the village of Sumber harapan Semberang hamlet, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan with three speakers selected through Porpose Sampling, data collection techniques by interview, obsevation and dokumentation then analyzed, using data presentation and withdrawal. Conclusion. The results showed that : 1). The mathematical concepts contained in the manufacturing process of the Sambas Malay Tribe songket are counting, measuring, designing, locating and explaining; 2). The various motifs available from the songket woven cloth are shoots of bamboo shoots, chained clouds, betel trails, crowned peacock’s crest, grapes, orchids, eastern, stars, crowns, grass flowers and a single rose. Then identified mathematical concepts as concepts of flat plane geoemetry, such as straight lines, parallel lines, folding symmetry, rhombus, congruence, triangles and kites.

Abstract

This research aims to know between emotional intelligence and mathematic’s problem-solving in students grade 8th in MTs. Al-Fathaanah Mempawah. This research used the correlation to be method and use the Pearson product moment’s formula to processing data. Twenty-one students are samples of this research, and they are select by using purposive sampling. The data collection technique in this research is using problem-solving and indirect communication that was using an emotional intelligence questionnaire. This research is the connection of emotional intelligence with mathematics problem-solving students grade 8th on MTs. Al-Fathaanah Mempawah, with r = 0.45 and the correlation classified is average. Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

This study aims to explain and describe the effectiveness of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model conducted in class VII SMPN 1 Sungai Raya. The method used in this research is descriptive-quantitative. The results obtained from this study are TGT type of cooperative learning is effective enough to be applied to the material integer count operations in SMPN 1 Sungai Raya this can be seen fromThe implementation of the teacher in managing cooperative learning type TGT is in the very good category with an average score of 3.73, the learning activities of students during learning using the type GI cooperative learning are in the active category with a percentage of 89.2%, the response of students to the application of cooperative learning type TGT is in the positive category and the learning outcomes of students have reached ketstrand classical because 81% of students have reached the KKM. Keyword: TGT, Effectiviness, SMPN 1 Sungai Raya

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran problem posing setting kooperatif untuk meningkatkan berpikir kreatif  siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Sukadana Pada Materi Tabung dan Kerucut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Data yang dikumpulkan berupa hasil tes akhir siklus siswa. Langkah-langkah pembelajaran problem posing setting kooperatif pada materi tabung dan kerucut yaitu : 1) menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran, memotivasi siswa, mengeksplorasi kemampuan awal siswa, menyampaikan materi pelajaran, dan memberikan contoh membuat soal sekaligus selesaianya dengan media tayang slide, 2) mengorganisasikan siswa kedalam kelompok-kelompok belajar yang bersifat heterogen berdasarkan kemampuan dan  jenis kelamin yang beranggotakan 4 sampai 5 siswa, 3)  meminta siswa untuk mengajukan soal sebanyak mungkin berdasarkan informasi gambar tabung dan kerucut yang disajikan dalam LKPD, 4) meminta siswa untuk saling bertukar soal sekaligus menyelesaikan soal yang telah dibuat oleh kelompok lain, kemudian siswa diminta untuk mengembalikan soal tersebut pada kelompok asal untuk di koreksi, 5) meminta siswa untuk mempresentasikan hasil kerja kelompoknya, 6) meminta siswa untuk membuat soal sebanyak-banyaknya sekaligus selesaiannya berdasarkan informasi gambar tabung dan kerucut secara individu. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa setelah penerapan pembelajaran problem posing setting kooperatif pada penelitian ini meningkat dari kategori “cukup baik” menjadi kategori “baik”. Skor kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran problem posing setting kooperatif pada siklus ke-1 sebesar 43 berada pada kategori “cukup baik” dan pada siklus ke-2 sebesar 65 berada pada kategori “baik”. Ini berarti terjadi peningkatan skor kemampuan berpikir siswa dari siklus ke-1 ke siklus ke-2 sebesar 22.Keyword: Problem Posing, Pembelajaran Kooperatif, Berpikir Kreatif

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to describe the forms of student misconceptions and the factors that cause misconceptions experienced by students in solving linear inequality problems with one variable containing absolute values in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. The subjects of this research were students of class X IPA 3 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak, totaling 25 students. The research uses descriptive method as the research method. Case study is a form of research used. The results of the research revealed that the research subjects experienced five forms of misconception, namely notation misconceptions experienced by 1 student or by 4%, generalizing misconceptions experienced by 3 students or by 12%, misconceptions of the application of rules experienced by 6 students or by 24%, calculation misconceptions experienced by 2 students or by 8%, and specialization misconceptions experienced by 3 students or 12%. The misconceptions experienced by these students are caused by wrong intuition and incomplete reasoning, where students' intuitive thoughts that arise spontaneously when solving problems are still wrong and students' reasoning or logic is still wrong in drawing conclusions and being too broad in generalizing. Keywords: Misconceptions, Two-Tier Diagnostic Test, One Variable Linear Inequality Problem with Absolute Values

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI dalam materi lingkaran di SMA Panca Setya Sintang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian one-shot case study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Panca Setya Sintang. Sementara sampel yang digunakan yaitu peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 yang berjumlah 24 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data hasil belajar menggunakan teknik pengukuran dengan mmberikan tes soal essay dalam materi lingkaran kepada peserta didik. Untuk melihat kekonsistenan dalam pencapaian hasil belajar, maka setelah dua minggu kemudian diberikan tes tunda. Besar rata-rata nilai pada saat tes akhir adalah 53,82, sedangkan rata-rata nilai pada saat tes tunda adalah 55,56. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji t tes rata-rata satu sampel diperoleh nilai  dan  dengan taraf signifikan  hal ini berarti  maka  diterima artinya tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata nilai peserta didik pada saat tes akhir dan tes tunda. Maka terjadi kekonsistenan antara nilai tes akhir dan nilai tes tunda, hal ini berarti penerapan pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik pada materi lingkaran berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didikKata Kunci : Pengaruh, Pendidikan Matematika Realistik, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

This research aimed to determine how to overcome student learning barriers in the material of one-variable linear equations using didactical design with scaffolding in class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. The form of research used in this study was didactical design research. The data source of this study were students of class VIII B of SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya and the data were the initial and final test answer sheets and the results of interviews. The results showed that didactic design with scaffolding can overcome student learning barriers. Before being given a didactical design with scaffolding students were not able to made mathematical models in the form of story problems, students were not able to equivalent and classify similar terms, the incompatibility of the problem solving steps ordered by the completion steps done by students, students cannot solve the problem comes to the simplest form, and students made mistakes in calculating the value of a count operation. After being given a didactical design with scaffolding students have been able to make mathematical models in the form of story questions, students have been able to equivalent and classify similar terms, the problem solving steps ordered with the completion steps done by students are appropriate, students can already solve the problem to the simplest form, and students are able to calculate the value of a calculated operation correctly even though there are a few operating errors in some problems. Keywords: Didactical Design, Learning Obstacles, Scaffolding
