Abstract

The leadership style of a principal has a significant influence on the achievement of educational goals, particularly in improving teachers’ professional competence. This study employed a descriptive qualitative research method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and data verification techniques. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the principal’s autocratic leadership style is characterized by limited trust given to teachers, as the principal applies a certain degree of coercion in involving teachers in training programs; (2) the principal’s democratic leadership style is reflected in prioritizing coordination, encouraging criticism and suggestions from teachers, providing guidance, opportunities, and full support for teachers to develop their professional competence; and (3) the supporting factors include teachers’ enthusiasm, harmonious relationships between the principal and teachers, and the principal’s strong commitment. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors consist of the principal’s leadership behavior, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and the low professional competence of some teachers. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the archive management system in SD Muhammadiyah Ambon and its role in supporting school office governance. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that SD Muhammadiyah Ambon has implemented a combination of archive management systems, namely manual archives and digital archives. The archives are managed by the administration section with the classification of administrative, academic, and student archives. Although the archival system has run quite well and supports the orderly administration of the school, there are still several obstacles, such as limited storage space, inadequate archival facilities, and a simple digital system. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a more structured archival system to increase the effectiveness of school office governance. Key Words: Archives Management, Office Management. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sistem manajemen kearsipan di SD Muhammadiyah Ambon serta perannya dalam menunjang tata kelola perkantoran sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SD Muhammadiyah Ambon telah menerapkan sistem manajemen kearsipan secara kombinasi, yaitu arsip manual dan arsip digital. Arsip dikelola oleh bagian tata usaha dengan klasifikasi arsip administrasi, akademik, dan kesiswaan. Meskipun sistem kearsipan telah berjalan cukup baik dan mendukung tertib administrasi sekolah, masih ditemukan beberapa kendala, seperti keterbatasan ruang penyimpanan, sarana kearsipan yang belum memadai, serta sistem digital yang masih sederhana. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengembangan sistem kearsipan yang lebih terstruktur guna meningkatkan efektivitas tata kelola perkantoran sekolah. Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze teachers' perceptions of the implementation of teacher certification in State Junior High Schools in Gabus District, Grobogan Regency, reviewed from the understanding of the purpose of certification, the perceived benefits, and its implications for teacher professionalism and performance. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method. The research sample consisted of 92 certified teachers who were determined through a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire based on the Likert scale and analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that teachers' perceptions of the implementation of certification were in the very good category, shown by a high average score, relatively homogeneous data distribution, and the tendency of answers centered on the category of very agree. These findings indicate that teacher certification is perceived to be effective in improving teacher competence, motivation, professionalism, and performance. Thus, teacher certification has a strategic role in supporting teacher professional development and improving the quality of learning in the context of regional education. Abstrak: Guru merupakan aktor kunci dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan, sehingga penguatan profesionalisme guru menjadi agenda strategis dalam kebijakan pendidikan nasional. Salah satu instrumen kebijakan yang dikembangkan pemerintah adalah program sertifikasi guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis persepsi guru terhadap pelaksanaan sertifikasi guru di SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Gabus Kabupaten Grobogan, ditinjau dari pemahaman tujuan sertifikasi, manfaat yang dirasakan, serta implikasinya terhadap profesionalisme dan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 92 guru bersertifikat yang ditentukan melalui teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner tertutup berbasis skala Likert dan dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru terhadap pelaksanaan sertifikasi berada pada kategori sangat baik, ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata yang tinggi, penyebaran data yang relatif homogen, serta kecenderungan jawaban yang terpusat pada kategori sangat setuju. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa sertifikasi guru dipersepsikan efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi, motivasi, profesionalisme, dan kinerja guru. Dengan demikian, sertifikasi guru memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung pengembangan profesional guru dan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran pada konteks pendidikan daerah.
