This research is a type of quantitative research that uses a descriptive design. The research was conducted at the Mathematics Education Study Program, USN Kolaka. The population in this study were all students of the mathematics education class 2018, totalling 40 students. The sampling technique in this study used non-probability sampling in the form of saturated sampling. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire containing statements used to obtain research information about visual (V), auditory (A), read/write (R), and kinesthetic (K) learning modalities, which are called VARK. The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive analysis based on the trend analysis of learning modalities. This trend data is then described in the form of tables and graphs. The results showed that the 2018 USN Kolaka Mathematics Education Study Program students' learning styles had a multimodal preference. Male students have a preference for multimodal learning style in bimodal (AR and AK) as 5 (41.66%) of 12 students. Abstract

This applied research was conducted to implement a project-based learning (PBL) model with five variations of business management activities and its five components in an integrated manner to improve the ability to run a business. The implementation of this prescriptive model was carried out to improve operational and managerial skills, as well as business development through improving product quality and access to markets.  The research design used was descriptive-exploratory, starting from the selection of the type of business, continuing to the identification of strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and action plans to turn threats into new business opportunities. The ability to run a business is measured from the aspects of resources, capital, products, markets, and future development programs.  Data on the improvement of managerial and operational skills, as well as data on the business development of the 35 student and alumni entrepreneurs were collected through project assignments and field observations. The efforts to improve the ability to run a business and the ability to capture market opportunities were analyzed by SWOT analysis and component analysis. The results of the analysis show that the ability to find business opportunities and predict future needs for goods and services can be developed through lecture classes, while operational skills and managerial abilities can be improved through the process of interaction with economic business actors in the field.

Abstract

As the educational landscape endures continuous change, artificial intelligence (AI) has presented unprecedented opportunities to revolutionize instructional methods. Among these cutting-edge AI technologies, Generative AI has emerged as a promising instrument with the potential to empower educators and students through innovative instructional strategies. This article aims to investigate the various applications of Generative AI in education and cast light on its role in shaping the future of education. The objectives of this study are twofold: first, to investigate the various instructional strategies that can be enhanced by employing Generative AI, and second, to assess the potential impact of these strategies on student learning outcomes. To accomplish these goals, a comprehensive literature review was conducted analyzing existing studies and applications of Generative AI in educational settings. The results and discussions emphasize the numerous educational benefits of Generative AI. Educators can personalize learning experiences, create interactive content, and facilitate adaptive assessments by leveraging the capabilities of Generative AI. This individualized strategy has the potential to boost learner engagement and knowledge retention. However, despite the numerous advantages, ethical concerns and difficulties arise. The responsible incorporation of Generative AI in education requires addressing issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the educator's role in directing AI-driven learning experiences. The research concludes by emphasizing that Generative AI holds enormous promise for empowering education and transforming instructional practices. The findings highlight the importance of ongoing collaboration between educators, policymakers, and AI developers to ensure the ethical and equitable integration of Generative AI into educational environments. By embracing the potential of Generative AI while remaining vigilant regarding its challenges, the field of education can unlock novel opportunities to nurture an inclusive, adaptive, and learner-centric pedagogical landscape for tomorrow's learners.
