Abstract

Business Analytics (BA) is increasingly used by tourism and hospitality businesses to improve customer experience, streamline operations, and boost revenue. However, the adoption of business analytics has created different challenges. A mini literature review was used in the study to identify challenges in the tourism and hospitality industries, focusing on adopting business analytics and identifying future research opportunities. The study found that the industry's growing customer data collection raises concerns about data issues, skills and resources, and organizational factors. Furthermore, addressing challenges like data management, skill gaps, and technological integration through strategic investments, research-driven insight, and ethical data practices can lead to sustainable growth and competitive advantage. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine and analyze the pattern of prisoner development in the perspective of social work in the ARU Islands Regency Correctional Institution. The informants in this study amounted to 5 respondents. The analysis method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the study indicate that the Pattern of Prisoner Guidance in the Perspective of Social Work in the ARU Islands Regency Correctional Institution, as follows, the guidance activities have been carried out well but there are still shortcomings such as lack of budget and facilities in supporting the established guidance program. Some prisoners are less interested or not motivated to participate in the training program. Prisoners have diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs, which require a flexible and varied training approach. Some inmates feel reluctant or distrustful of relationship-building efforts. Families and communities show distrust or reluctance to accept inmates back. Keywords : Social Worker Development Patterns and Perspectives.

Abstract

Digital marketing has become one of the factors that drives the improvement of company performance. This study aims to determine the role of digital marketing in SMEs. SMEs are currently experiencing very rapid growth and have become the mainstay of the Indonesian economy. The method used in this study is literature review. The results of the study indicate that digital marketing can improve the performance of SMEs. Digital marketing makes it easier for SMEs to market products and reach consumers more widely.

Abstract

SMEs are currently developing very rapidly, and have contributed to the Indonesian economy. This study aims to see the effect of organizational commitment and work motivation on employee performance at SMEs in Rantauprapat City. The research method uses quantitative methods. The number of samples collected was 153. So that the sample in the study amounted to 153 samples. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between organizational commitment and work motivation on employee performance at SMEs in Rantauprapat City.

Abstract

Understanding the relationship between macroeconomic policies and rural poverty still remains a key policy challenge. This study builds a fundamental framework to connect important macroeconomic factors with rural poverty and evaluates the impact of government-led development expenditure policies that have had a direct impact on rural poverty during the past two decades. In order to ensure inclusive growth in the social protection programme, it is necessary to address the needs and ambitions of this disadvantaged section of population. Employing the data produced from household surveys, National Sample Survey Organization, Statistical Handbook, carried out a social protection programme through descriptive statistics and linear regression model. The results show that the prevalence of poverty in rural sector has significantly decreased from 10% in 2004-05 to 6.10% in 2011-12 but shows positive increase in 2021-22 to 12.75%. Therefore, the government must implement effectively the social protection programme so that the there will be increase the level of income and thus help in reducing income inequality. Also, suggested that proper physical and social overhead capital i.e., infrastructure need to developed and priority be given in the rural sector.

Abstract

Rural tourism involves activities in rural areas, where tourists interact with local culture, heritage, lifestyle, and the natural environment. Regional development is enhancing the economic, social, and environmental well-being of a specific area or region. The study examines the benefits and challenges associated with rural tourism, including economic empowerment, cultural preservation, community engagement, and environmental sustainability. Therefore, the study mainly focuses on identifying the scopes of rural tourism in Ampara district, to find out the regional developmental causes for preferences of tourist arrival and to find the association between preferences of tourist arrival and regional development activities. This study utilizes qualitative and quantitative methods, gathering primary data through direct observation, field visits, interviews, and structured questionnaires. Secondary data includes annual reports from the Divisional Secretariat of Ampara District, related articles, and journals and for the analysis, the study employs ArcGIS 10.8 and Google Earth Pro. The findings suggest that Ampara can serve as a model for rural tourism and regional development in Sri Lanka with a committed approach to sustainable tourism practices. The study provides insights and recommendations for policymakers, stakeholders, and local communities to harness the benefits of rural tourism while ensuring its positive impact on visitors and residents.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the development potential of Saranjana Market in Serdang Bedagai with a sustainable entrepreneurship approach that focuses on creativity, marketing, and collaboration. This research applied a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection techniques through direct observation, interviews and documentation, and triangulation of Saranjana market activities. The research results show that the Saranjana market has great potential to become a culinary destination around the North Sumatra region because it has succeeded in increasing visitor interest. Saranjana Market managed by BUMDes Anugrah is also able to offer iconic products by combining Banjar's distinctive culture with local culture so that it becomes an attraction that can empower local Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). Some of the uniqueness of the Saranjana market is the innovation in the payment system that uses reed coins, the provision of photo spots with environmentally friendly views, and Banjar art performances. The synergy of creativity, marketing, and collaboration becomes a separate strategy designed by the Saranjana market manager to realize a sustainable business. The expected outcome of this research is that the Saranjana market can make a major contribution to improving the local economy and the welfare of the people of Serdang Bedagai through sustainable entrepreneurship. Abstract

This study is a quantitative research that aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and financial attitudes on the use of electronic payment systems. In this study, active students of the Management study program of the Veteran National Development University of Jakarta in the 2023 academic year were used as the population and a sample of 100 respondents was taken using random sampling techniques. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires through google forms. The data analysis technique used is the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis method with Smart PLS 4.0 software. The results of the study show that financial literacy has an effect on the use of electronic payment systems and financial attitudes have an effect on the use of electronic payment systems. Abstract

This study aims to identify, manage, and analyze data to understand the role of social institutions in improving the welfare of the elderly in Ambon City. It is hoped that the results of this study can reduce the research gap that has been mentioned and contribute to social institutions in efforts to improve social welfare.Bottom of Form Social institutions play a crucial role in providing various services and assistance for the elderly, such as social assistance, material assistance, and empowerment programs that focus on meeting the physical, psychological, and social needs of the elderly. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of a number of social institutions operating in Ambon City. The research findings show that social institutions have a significant contribution to improving the welfare of the elderly through the provision of health services, social assistance, and economic empowerment programs that can increase the independence of the elderly. However, there are obstacles faced by social institutions, such as limited funds and manpower, which have an impact on the quality of services provided. This study suggests the importance of optimizing the role of social institutions by increasing support from the government and the community to improve the welfare of the elderly in Ambon City.
