Abstract

Background: Breast cancer can affect various aspects of human life, including physiological, psychological and social aspects of sufferers. This condition triggers a decline in self-concept caused by the illness he is suffering from. So the need for coping is to overcome it with spiritual coping, the patient can more easily know God and understand his condition. Objective: To determine the relationship between self-concept and spiritual coping in breast cancer patients at the North Surabaya Regional Health Center. Method: This research design is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach with a population correlation approach with a simple random sampling technique. The research sample was 43 respondents. The questionnaire uses the Tennessee Self Concept Scale (TSCS) questionnaire for the self-concept variable and uses the Religious Spiritual Coping (Brief RCOPE) questionnaire for the spiritual coping variable. Data Analysis: using spearman rank with a significance level of 0.002. Results: The results of the study showed that 28 respondents (65.1%) had a negative self-concept and 15 respondents (34.9%) had a positive self-concept, 24 respondents (55.8%) had a positive spiritual coping and 19 respondents had a negative self-concept. (44.2%). Discussion: A negative self-concept will influence negative spiritual coping and vice versa

Abstract

Objective: to identify the level of stress experienced by covid-19 patients in the Al-Aqsa isolation room . Methods: This article This study used a descriptive method that was carried out on patients who were confirmed positive COVID-19 in the Al-Aqsa isolation room on the 6th floor of the Haji General Hospital Surabaya with the Accidental Sampling . The samples obtained were 30 respondents. The research instrument used in this research aiming at describing the stress experienced by respondents was DASS 42 questionnaire Results: The results showed that 23.3% of respondents experienced normal stress conditions, 53.3% experienced mild stress, 20.0% of respondents experienced moderate stress, and 3.3% of respondents experienced severe stress Conclusion: 7 (23.3%) respondents experienced moderate stress, 16 (53.3%) respondents experienced mild stress, 6 (20.0%) respondents experienced moderate stress, and 1 (3.3%) respondent experienced severe stress. Which is suspected to be influenced by age and gender factors

Abstract

Objective: To analyze a comprehensive summary of the article on the Effectiveness of the Prone Position as the Management of Hypoxemia in Covid-19 patients . Methods: Literature review of the journal Effectiveness of the Prone Position as the management of Hypoxemia in Covid-19 patients. Search articles via the internet with databases: Proquest, PubMed, Science Direct. With Population Covid-19, Intervention Prone Position, Outcome Management Hypoxemia. The review was carried out by 10 articles starting from 2019-2020, the full English text was then synthesized using a literature review table. Results: The effectiveness of prone position in patients with mild to moderate hypoxemia is recommended to do prone position by maintaining the position for 3 hours a day. Prone position can be done gradually with 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon, and 6 hours at night, with a total prone position time of 10–14 hours / day, taking into account the patient's tolerance or condition. Prone position is carried out in conjunction with other treatment measures, and does not affect the implementation of other treatments Conclusion: The Covid-19 emergency makes the need for oxygenation very important to overcome hypoxemia so that oxygen demand increases along with the increase in Covid-19 patients, with the prone position this can help minimize oxygenation needs in Covid-19 patients.

Abstract

Objective: Pneumonia is the most common infection in mechanically ventilated patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). Oral care is one way to prevent ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). Oral antiseptics that are widely mentioned in the literature are chlorhexidine, listerin, povidone iodine, sodium bicarbonate, normal saline, and sterile water. Methods: The sources of the articles used were obtained from searches through databases including Google Scholar, Science Direct, Springerlink, PubMed, and Pro Quest. This search was limited from 2002 to 2014. Once found, then an article review was carried out up to the stage of making a literature review. Results: Oral antiseptic chlorhexidine 0.2% and chlorhexidine 0.12% proved to be more effective than listerin, 1% povidone iodine, sodium bicarbonate, normal saline, and sterile water. Conclusion: 0.2% chlorhexidine and 0.12% chlorhexidine are the most effective oral antiseptics for oral care of critically ill patients who use mechanical ventilation to prevent ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP)

Abstract

This study aimed to identify and analyze research evidence in the form of articles relating to the effectiveness of mindfulness-based intervention programs in reducing stress levels and burnout in hospital. A systematic review conducted on September - December 2020 using five electronic databases (Scopus, Science Direct, CINAHL, PubMed, and ProQuest). The study average were quasi-experimental and randomized control and trial design. The Center for Review and Dissemination and the Joanna Briggs Institute Guideline used for assess quality and Prisma checklist for guided this review. Title, abstract, full-text and methodology were assessed for the eligibility of the studies, and result synthesis was analyzed using narrative for every themes. Twenty five studies were found and met inclusion criteria in the review after risk of bias had assessed. The presentation of the results will be determined based on seven major themes, namely: 1) Reducing symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression and burnout; 2) Increase resilience to stress and burnout; 3) Improve mood and satisfaction; 4) Improve performance efficiency; 5) Increase positive perceptions of stress; 6) Increase concentration; and 7) Improve the psychological well-being of nurses. The effectiveness of mindfulness is to reduce symptoms of stress, depression, burnout syndrome, increase concentration, positive thinking, resilience and improve well-being. The implementation of the intervention given also depends on the condition of the client who will receive the intervention.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kemoterapi adalah terapi pasien kanker dengan tujuan membunuh sel abnormal tubuh secara cepat. Kemoterapi memiliki efek samping yang bervariasi di setiap penderita yang menjalaninya. Pemberian edukasi menggunakan leaflet dilakukan pada pasien dan keluarga yang menjalani kemoterapi agar pasien lebih siap melakukan manajemen gejala pada saat menjalani kemoterapi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan pemberian edukasi melalui media leaflet untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang manajemen gejala pasien kanker dan keluarga yang menjalani kemoterapi. Penelitian bersifat pre-experimental study dengan menggunakan accidental sampling sejumlah 4 pasien kanker yang menjalani kemoterapi di RS Siti Khodijah Sepanjang Sidoarjo. Edukasi dengan menggunakan leaflet dilakukan selama 1 kali saat akan dilakukan kemoterapi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan khusus pasien kanker sejumlah 15 item pertanyaan. Analisis menggunakan uji deskriptif. Hasil penelitian terbukti meningkatkan pengetahuan, sebelum edukasi rata-rata 35% menjadi 55%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media leaflet masih dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan manajemen gejala pasien kemoterapi. Kata Kunci: edukasi, kemoterapi, manajemen gejala, media leaflet, pengetahuan Abstract: Chemotherapy is a therapy for cancer patients with the aim of killing the body's abnormal cells quickly. Chemotherapy has varying side effects for each patient who undergoes it. Providing education using leaflets is carried out to patients and families undergoing chemotherapy so that patients are better prepared to manage symptoms while undergoing chemotherapy. The aim of this research is to provide education through leaflet media to increase knowledge about symptom management for cancer patients and families undergoing chemotherapy. The research was a pre-experimental study using accidental sampling of 4 cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Siti Khodijah Hospital along Sidoarjo. Education using leaflets is carried out once when chemotherapy is being carried out. Data were collected using a special knowledge questionnaire for cancer patients with 15 question items. Analysis uses descriptive tests. The research results are proven to increase knowledge, before education, an average of 35% to 55%. So it can be concluded that leaflet media can still be used to increase knowledge of symptom management in chemotherapy patients. Abstract

Objective: To identify the effect of Ar-Rahman Murottal therapy on mothers with postpartum blues at TPMB Siti Alfiyah and Muarofah Surabaya Methods: This study used a Pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest Posttest design approach with a total sample of 20 postpartum mothers. Sampling using consecutive sampling technique. The instrument used was the Edinburgh Post-natal Depression Scale questionnaire. Data analysis in this study used univariate analysis, bivariate analysis of cross tabulation. Resultsshowed that the magnitude of the decrease in the EDPS score of the incidence of postpartum blues before the Ar-Rahman murrotal therapy was an average of 12.65 and after the Ar-Rahman murrotal therapy was an average of 3.80 with a decrease of at least 1 and most 7. The results of the cross tabulation test showed a decrease in EPDS scores, which means that there is an effect of Ar-Rahman murrotal therapy on mothers with postpartum blues Conclusion: Ar-Rahman murrotal therapy is able to reduce the incidence of postpartum blues. Prevention of postpartum blues can be done in postpartum mothers early on with Ar Rahman Murottal therapy

Abstract

Background : Treatment for hypertension sufferers is not only medical but can also use natural ingredients in the form of standardized herbs and herbal therapy. This encourages hypertension sufferers to try traditional treatment. In fact, there are still many people who do not know about existing herbal treatments. This is because people are not exposed to information. It was found that this wrong perception arose due to a lack of good communication from authorities such as health workers to convince the public about the effectiveness of herbal plant management. Objective: This study aims to determine the people’s perception of the use of betel leaf plants in hypertensive patients in East Kalianget Village. Method: This research uses a descriptive method. The total population was 196 respondents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. With a sample of 131 respondents suffering from hypertension. The data collection technique is in the form of a questionnaire. Data processing uses the SPSS program with Descriptive Analysis. Results: This research shows that as many as 107 people (81.7) have positive perceptions about the use of betel leaf plants in East Kalianget Village, Sumenep. In conclusion, there is a positive public perception that supports the application of betel leaf plants by individuals suffering from hypertension. Both medical and non-medical approaches can be used to treat and prevent hypertension. It is said that using traditional medicine—especially using betel leaves—is safer than using modern treatment.

Abstract

Objective: Mental health is one of the important aspects in a person's life because it has a major influence on the biological, cognitive and social emotional of the individual. Well-being is something that is sought after by individuals, including mothers. In the family, mothers as housekeepers have a dominant function in a family. Even now, mothers not only take care of domestic activities, but some mothers also help their husbands increase family income. This will have an impact on the mental well-being of housewives. Methods: This study used a descriptive design with total sampling with 40 mothers as respondents. Data collection uses the Mental Health Continuum (MHC-LF) questionnaire which has been validated and reliable.. Results: The research results showed that more than 50% (55%) of mothers had high mental well-being. Conclusion: The research results still show that housewives who have low mental well-being, so it is important to develop a program to improve the welfare of housewives by collaborating with local health centers to provide education on the importance of mental health and tips for mental well-being for housewives who still have low mental well-being.

Abstract

Introduction: Quality is the main focus of attention in health services, one of the factors that can lower the quality of health care and patient confidence is the fault of the medication. A medication error is an event that can lead to an error in giving care to patient. This study aimed to review electronic medication to minimize medication error and patient safety in hospital. Methods: A systematic review was carried out in order to get a comprehensive perspective on benefit using electronic medication to minimize medication error. Literature search was performed through English databases of Scopus, PubMed, ProQuest and Sciencedirect within in the last 5 years. This search was conducted between November, 2021 until January, 2022. The type of study design was excluded the review and descriptive articles. All document and studies providing evidence regarding electronic medication in hospitals were included in this review. Results: Overall, the review consists of 15 articles which studies the electronic system affects to medication error and improve patient safety. Finding obtained the intervention can be used and applied to improve patient safety such as EMMS (Electronic Medication Management Systems), EHR/EHRs (Electronic Health Reports), E-Prescribing (Electronic Prescribing), MediDocQ (Medication Administration Charts), and CPOE (Computerized Provider order entry). Conclusions: Health information technology in the field of medicine has proven to be effective in reducing medication errors in hospital patients. So that through this review, it is expected to be able to improve the competence of health workers and reduce the risk of medication errors.
