Abstract

Covid-19 virus has an impact on changing learning patterns in Indonesia. The government invests in schools and lectures, but instructs them to continue teaching without face-to-face learning. Such learning requires the help of technological media that can be accessed anywhere. This is in line with the industrial revolution 4.0 which required educators and learners to use technology media in education. The media selected in this article are Google Classroom and Video Learning. The utilization of both media was applied to several courses at Akademi Maritim Nusantara Cilacap, among them applied mathematics and accounting and taxation of shipping companies. The materials in the learning video are presented in the form of problems, such as linear interpolation materials and budgeting. Therefore, it is necessary to plan and prepare material that is constructivism, so that cadets can play an active role. The material is presented on a problem solving basis, stimulating cadets to solve problems and then construction the concept of problem solving results. Utilization of Google Classroom equipped with Problem Solving-based Learning Video can be an alternative solution to online learning in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era. This is because educators and students do not need to come face-to-face. Students can access Google Classroom and learning videos with the help of PC/mobile devices and internet networks, without meeting in person, thus minimizing the increase in Covid19 sufferers.

Abstract

The objective to be achieved in this study is to analyze the perceptions of vocational high school students regarding the application of science (physics) in the fields of maritime, medicine, and technology. The method in this research is a combination of survey and literature review. In this study the authors took the location at SMK Bina Bhakti Cilacap. Learning outcomes in the affective domain were obtained using a maritime study questionnaire. The instrument used was a maritime study questionnaire in the affective domain. Broadly speaking, data on the level of perception related to the application of Physics Science in the fields of maritime, medicine, and technology is obtained, which is 91% of the total. So it can be stated that almost some students have positive perceptions regarding the application of Physics Science in the fields of maritime, medicine, and technology. The analysis used is Descriptive Statistics Frequencies. Standard deviation comparison. The comparison results show that the empiric standard deviation (s = 1.982) is lower than the hypothetical standard deviation (σ = 5). This shows that the perception of vocational high school students regarding the application of science (physics) in the fields of maritime, medicine, and technology has a low variation. In other words, the perceptions of the subjects with one another are similar or uniform. Based on the analysis and discussion that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the perceptions of SMK students regarding the application of Science (physics) in the fields of Maritime, Medicine and Technology are similar or uniform. This means that vocational students generally have the same perception regarding the application of Science (physics) in the fields of Maritime, Medicine, and Technology.

Abstract

Fishermen's occupational health and safety is very important. Neglect of safety tends to increase economic and environmental costs such as decreased production, medical costs, pollution and inefficient energy use. The aim of this study was to describe the level of knowledge about fishermen's occupational health and safety. The study involved 40 fishermen in Jeruklegi Wetan Village, Jeruklegi District, Cilacap Regency. Conducted with a survey method by distributing questionnaires and interviews. Fishermen's occupational health and safety. Based on the research that most were in the poor category, namely 20 people or 50% and good and enough categories respectively, namely 10 people or 25%.

Abstract

Customs agency in Indonesia has an important role in procedural matters and in monitoring the entry and exit of goods from and to foreign countries. Customs agencies in carrying out their duties certainly face various obstacles and the right strategy is needed to overcome these obstacles. Tanjung Intan Cilacap Port is a trading gateway for the City of Cilacap and its surroundings, both local and export-import. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of Customs and Excise in the effectiveness of export-import activities at the Tanjung Intan Cilacap port. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection methods used were unstructured interviews and documentation. The analytical method used in this research is the data analysis model of Miles and Huberman which includes the following steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions / verification and data analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the students' mistakes and explain the factors causing the errors made by students in solving maritime problems based on the Newman procedure in terms of gender. The data were collected by means of tests and unstructured interviews. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were 24 students, namely 12 male students and 12 female students. Various students’ mistakes in solving questions, including: 1) errors in reading; 2) errors in comprehension; 3) errors in transformation; 4) errors in processing skills; and 5) errors in encoding. The research results showed that there were differences in the types of errors of male and female students in solving maritime questions. The most mistakes made by students, namely errors in comprehension. From the research results, it was found that male students made more errors in compehension than female students. Male students made errors in comprehension by 63,4%, while female students made errors in comprehension by 59,2%. The research results also showed that female students made more errors in transformation, process skills, and encoding than male students.

Abstract

This study aims to know the control pengaruruh Integrated Port Time (IPT) system on the smooth running of loading and unloading activities at PT. Pertamina (Persero) Regional IV Semarang. The author made observations at PT. Pertamina (Persero) Regional IV Semarang, besides that, also conducted interviews with people related to the problems discussed precisely in the Marine Function where there were several things that became problems in running the Integrated Port Time system, namely the high waiting time at the Port which had implications for costs. transportation, the length of time the ship at the terminal is influenced by many factors involving the functions of the Refinery Unit, S&D, Domas and Aviation and Shipping. In addition, the inadequate constraints on land and ship infrastructure have resulted in hampered operations. The author also collects literature from books, regulations and research related to integrated port time and loading and unloading. The results of the discussion show that there is an effect of integrated port time on the smooth loading and unloading process at PT. Pertamina (Persero) Regional IV Semarang. This can be proven by the high waiting time at the port which is one of the obstacles to the Integrated Port Time (IPT), this is due to the Waiting Time, Terminal Time, Lab Time Score, Marine Time and Finance Ops Time, the length of time the ship is at the terminal. resulting in delayed fuel distribution operations and inadequate ship and land infrastructure.

Abstract

Crew members are all people who work on the ship, who are in charge of operating and maintaining the ship and its cargo, other than the captain or ship leader. In carrying out their duties they often experience difficulties ranging from fraudulent job vacancies, violence, wages that are still below the minimum wage, to crimes of robbery and persecution. This study aims to discuss the implementation of Law No. 15. Year 2016 in protecting the rights of Ship Crew, in a case study research at PT Samudera Indonesia, Semarang branch. This research is based on empirical juridical research based on normative law science or statutory regulations. The primary data source that the writer presents is obtained from questionnaire data, the results of interviews and observations (field research) and secondary data obtained from the results of library research, by studying the rules and books related to this research. The research specification in this writing is descriptive analytical. The theory used by the author in this study is the Theory of Legal Effectiveness which is included in the Sociological Juridical Theory. The results of this study indicate that in providing legal protection to the rights of crew members, PT Samudera Indonesia has fulfilled the provisions of National and International legislation, namely Law No. 15 of 2016 which is both the ratification and the ratification of the 2006 Maritime Labor Convention (MLC), as the Maritime Labor Law in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of ISM Code implementation in improving shipping safety. This research is a quantitative study by taking a sample of 75 ship crews in the Deck Department and the Engine Department who carry out loading and unloading activities at the Port of Tanjung Intan Cilacap. Data analysis using simple linear regression. This study shows that the application of the ISM Code has an effect on shipping safety.

Abstract

Penggunaan The use of pumps is mostly as a driver, conveyor, press machine, elevator and others. Induction motors are most widely used because they are strong, crowing and easy to maintain and their efficiency at power is high. The problems that often occur in each electro motor are mechanical damage, such as over-current, mechanical failure, low insulation resistance, insufficient lubrication, excessive vibration, misalignment, motor age and other factors. operation of the induction motor, data obtained through Field Research research direct observation of the object under study. The research was conducted by means of observation on the KM Dharma Kartika IX. Based on the research results that the cause of damage to the electro motor components is caused by several things: overcurrent, mechanical damage, low insulation resistance and excess heat.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the application of the student centered learning method type of small group discussion in applied physics learning for nautical engineering cadets. The method in this study is a survey and literature review. The research object was cadets in the engineering and nautical study program of AMN Cilacap. Learning outcomes in the psychomotor domain are obtained through the discussion method. The instrument used is using google classroom media. Based on the appearance of each image, a small group discussion step in the applied physics learning of nautical techniques is described. Steps 1 to 6 are shown in Figures 1 to 17. In the Engineering class, it can be seen in Figures 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10. Whereas in the Nautical class, it can be seen in Figures 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17. Applied physics learning in the Nautical class is more enthusiastic and active using small group discussions, whereas in the Engineering class it looks standard (in general). After analyzing and discussing it, it was concluded that the student centered learning method of the small group discussion type in applied physics learning by nautical engineering cadets can be applied according to the 6 steps in the small group discussion.
