Abstract

The community service program was designed to raise collective awareness of bullying while fostering a more positive school environment. The program was implemented through needs assessment, collaboration with schools, and the delivery of educational materials using visual aids, interactive discussions, games, and edutainment activities. The results indicate an increased understanding among students of the forms and impacts of bullying, greater willingness to share personal experiences in safe discussion spaces, and the internalization of values such as empathy, cooperation, and respect for diversity. Active student engagement was further supported by teachers and school leaders, who affirmed that the program aligned with existing character education efforts. In conclusion, although not supported by quantitative data, this participatory approach proved effective in enhancing anti-bullying awareness and encouraging a collective commitment to building a sustainable and conducive learning culture.

Abstract

The Field Work Program (KKL) Batch 51, Post 2, was conducted in Borong Pa’la’la Village, Patallassang District, Gowa Regency from July 24 to August 25, 2025, involving 10 students. The main issues addressed were limited financial literacy, low environmental awareness, and the need for women’s economic empowerment. The objective was to improve knowledge, independence, and community welfare. The program applied a participatory approach by engaging local residents in every activity. Strategies included early financial literacy education, the creation of waste bins, training in soap production for women’s groups (PKK), participation in the Independence Day celebration, and additional “Clean Saturday” activities. The outcomes showed improved community understanding of financial management, enhanced awareness of environmental hygiene, and increased skills among women in producing eco-friendly soap as a potential small business. Overall, the program contributed positively to capacity building and sustainable community development.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance digital security literacy among local government staff and residents of Bontonompo Village, Gowa Regency. The program was conducted using lectures, discussions, hands-on practice, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests to assess participants’ knowledge improvement. A total of 30 participants actively joined the training, consisting of village staff and community members. The evaluation results revealed a significant increase in the average score from 55 to 82, indicating improved understanding of phishing detection, personal data protection, and identification of fake information. The training proved effective in raising awareness and basic digital security skills among participants. This activity is expected to serve as an initial step in strengthening a secure and sustainable digital ecosystem within Bontonompo Village.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance public knowledge of the antioxidant benefits of Centella asiatica (pegagan) and Mentha sp. (mint) as a preventive effort against oxidative stress. Conducted in Guwang Village, Gianyar Regency, the activity involved 50 participants from the general public and housewives. The program consisted of three stages: problem identification, scientific education through interactive lectures and discussions, and evaluation using pre- and post-tests. Results showed a 31% increase in participants’ knowledge regarding antioxidant functions, benefits of pegagan and mint, and healthy lifestyle practices. The program effectively linked research findings with practical community education, promoting local herbal utilization for health and economic potential.

Abstract

Neurological disorders are a major cause of disability worldwide, yet public awareness of early prevention remains low. This community service program aimed to improve knowledge and awareness of neurological health through education and screening activities in Guwang Village, Gianyar Regency. Fifty community members participated in blood pressure checks, reflex and coordination tests, and educational sessions on neurological disease prevention. The program was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Results showed that 36% of participants had hypertension and 22% showed mild neurological symptoms. Post-education assessments revealed a 30.8% increase in knowledge, indicating improved awareness and preventive behavior. This program effectively strengthened community understanding of neurological health and encouraged early detection efforts.

Abstract

Senaru Traditional Village is one of the cultural sites in the Rinjani-Lombok Geopark Area located in Bayan District. Senaru Traditional Village has a geographical position and geological conditions that are quite vulnerable to disasters. In addition, this village has local wisdom values and strong socio-cultural structures, which influence how the community responds and faces disasters. Therefore, the purpose of this community service activity is to conduct effective disaster mitigation training by considering geological aspects and aspects of the behavior and culture of the local community to understand the geological characteristics of the area and identify behavioral aspects in disaster mitigation. Participants in this activity around 31 people involving figures from the Senaru Village Indigenous Community, including Bayan Traditional Leaders, Indigenous Youth, Bayan Traditional School, the Rinjani-Lombok Geopark Management Agency, the Rinjani Geopark Youth Forum, Literacy and Culture Activists, Geotourism Guides, and the public. The method in this activity was a partcipatory through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with a holistic and in-depth approach to the geological conditions and community behavior in disaster mitigation. The results showed that the community understood the importance of identifying geological conditions in determining disaster mitigation, and they agreed that there must be a disaster-resilient community that will establish evacuation routes and assembly points in Senaru Village.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the digital marketing capacity of the micro, small, and medium enterprise (SMEs) Kebab Nusantara Makassar through a series of structured training and mentoring activities. The program was initiated in response to the low level of digital literacy among culinary entrepreneurs, which limits their promotional reach and competitiveness in the digital era. The method employed was a participatory action approach consisting of needs analysis, socialization, training, and mentoring in content creation, content planner development, and content distribution via social media, particularly Instagram. The program was conducted over three months, from June to September 2025, involving the owner and staff of the MSME as active participants. The results indicate a significant improvement in key digital marketing indicators: impressions increased by 424.8%, reach by 91%, interactions by 1,476%, profile visits by 254%, and follower growth by 56%. Furthermore, the partner demonstrated independence in managing their social media account by continuing to produce and publish content after the program ended. Therefore, this PKM program proved effective in improving digital literacy, strengthening social media marketing skills, and expanding market reach. The implementation of continuous training and mentoring is recommended as a replicable model for building digital capacity among MSMEs in the culinary sector.

Abstract

This community engagement project aimed to design and develop a podcast-based instructional medium entitled English PodClass to enhance senior high school students’ speaking and listening competencies in the English language subject. The implementation comprised three major phases: design, production, and dissemination. The design phase involved instructional design activities, including the development of podcast concepts and learning content aligned with the needs of twelfth-grade students at SMA Negeri 8 Makassar, focusing on Hortatory Exposition Text and Discussion Text materials with contextual themes such as Netiquette, Media Literacy, and Climate Change. The production phase encompassed audio recording and post-production processes utilizing Audacity and Adobe Audition software. The final product consisted of three podcast episodes, each lasting 10–15 minutes, organized into introductory, main discussion, and closing segments. The dissemination phase was conducted through digital learning platforms such as YouTube and Google, complemented by online outreach strategies. The project resulted in an educational podcast serving as an innovative, flexible, and engaging instructional medium for English language learning.

Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic health problem commonly experienced by the elderly and is a major cause of cardiovascular disease. This community service activity aimed to improve elderly knowledge about hypertension management through non-pharmacological therapy in Soko Bogor, Cawas, Klaten, Central Java. The implementation methods included preparation, education, training, and evaluation stages. The intervention consisted of education on a healthy diet, physical activity, stress management, and the practice of relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and finger-hold therapy. Knowledge assessment was conducted before and after the intervention using questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement in knowledge levels, where the “good” category increased from 10% to 70%, while the “poor” category decreased from 55% to 0%. Most participants were female (90%), indicating higher participation among women compared to men. This activity effectively enhanced the elderly’s understanding of hypertension control through non-pharmacological approaches. However, continued assistance is needed to ensure that increased knowledge translates into sustainable behavioral changes.

Abstract

The Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PDM) of Semarang City has an MSME Development Institute (LP). This institution has a specific mission in developing MSMEs in growing, mobilizing, improving and empowering the potential of MSMEs in the national and global business arena. This community service activity is to implement a distributed system to develop the creative industry and encourage entrepreneurship in the field of digital technology and innovation and can increase responsible consumption and production in terms of halal consumer products for Muhammadiyah MSMEs in Semarang City. This activity includes socialization, training on system operation, implementation, mentoring and monitoring. The results show that the implementation of the system can document the data of MSMEs well by 75%, halal product certification for MSMEs increased by 80%, and skills in operating the system are increasing, based on the satisfaction level reaching 91% after the activity. This program proves that utilizing technology can provide convenience in verifying data for the halal certification process and increase security and reduce the risk of data loss.
