Abstract

The development of technology and information is so rapid in the world of education and learning. As a result, changes in learning patterns continue to develop dynamically. The purpose of this article is to discuss physical education and sports based on blended learning at the junior high school. This research is a literature study with a qualitative approach, which examines references related to the topic of physical education and blended learning. The findings of this study describe that blended learning is a learning process that utilizes various media and technologies. Learning takes place conventionally (face to face), self learning, and online learning. The importance of mixed learning is justified by the fact that learning sports a communication activity can be realized both in the classroom and outside the classroom. Blended learning-based learning provides a number of important advantages for teachers and students, including helping educators to develop better in the learning process according to learning styles and preferences in learning, providing realistic practical opportunities for teachers and educators to learn independently, be useful, and continue to develop active learners in the learning process responsible for their own work. Blended learning based learning can be presented through several online programs.

Abstract

Fire is a type of non-natural disaster that has a significant impact on humans. Fires occur due to non-natural processes or events such as short circuits, system failure, human error and other causes. One of the measures to prevent fire is to install fire detection and extinguishing systems. The system is made in a device that can detect fire automatically. This research focuses on the application of the wi-fi module ESP8266 in an Internet of Things (IoT) based home fire detection system to assist users in monitoring the condition of their abandoned homes. The method used is descriptive and product development tools. The results of this study indicate that the design of the application of the wi-fi module ESP8266 in the home fire detection system based on internet of things (IoT) uses the Arduino Mega2560 as a microcontroller, the ESP8266 module as a Wi-Fi module or as a link for data exchange between Arduino Mega2560 and Blynk and Blynk application as monitoring or output. From the results of testing the average speed of internet data, packet losses, delay (time difference) and the distance tested in 1 minute obtained a minimum value of 309bps and a maximum of 21kbps, 0% of packets are lost, the average minimum delay is 0.153s and maximum 2.147s and the distance value obtained with a minimum of 0 meters and a maximum of 145 meters.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of the motivation survey of class X students in participating in physical education learning at SMA Negeri 17 Samarinda in the academic year 2020/2021 during the Covud - 19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive study. The method used is a survey with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The subjects in this study were students at state high school 17 Samarinda. The trial was carried out with a validity coefficient of 0.312 and a reliability of 0.900. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis which was stated in the form of a percentage. After conducting the research, the following results were obtained, the average descriptive statistical score of 108.88 was in the medium category and based on the motivation frequency distribution in the very low category of 7.77% (15 students / i), low 18.14% (35 students / i), moderate 46.63% (90 students / i), high 21.24% (41 students / i), and very high category 6.22% (12 students / i). From the results that have been obtained, the highest percentage is the medium category based on indicators in intrinsic factors and indicators in extrinsic factors.

Abstract

MALL method is a part of M-Learning whereas the flexibility of its technology that can be used everywhere and more personal can be a new way in conducting learning process, emphasizing on its continuity or accessing the context beyond directly. Classroom action research is used as the research method. Participants in this research were 11th grade students of one of senior high school in West Java. Interview, obervation report, quesionnaire and students’ score on pre-test and post-test used as the instruments in collecting the data. Further, these data analyzed by quantitative and qualitative method. Result showed that MALL method is able to improve the students pronunciation abilities, eventhough the researcher faced many difficulties in the process of applying it.

Abstract

During this pandemic, all nations of the world are required to take part in overcoming life's problems, including in the field of education. One of the ways taken in the field of education is to carry out online learning activities. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of students' creative thinking abilities and methods. online learning on the value of calculus courses 2. The variables of this study were the ability to think creatively, online learning methods and grades of calculus subjects. Data were collected using observation techniques, questionnaires, tests, analyzed quantitatively. The results showed 72. 7% of the variable Value of the Calculus Course (Y) is determined by the variable factor of creative thinking ability (X1) and learning method (X2) while the remaining 27. 3% is determined by other factors, 54. 4% of the variable value of calculus2 (Y) is determined by the variable factor of creative thinking ability. (X1), 59. 5% of the variable value of the 2 calculus course (Y) is determined by the variable factor el online learning method (X2). This study only reveals internal factors, namely the ability to think creatively and online learning methods, even though there are many other factors that can affect the value of calculus courses 2. Weaknesses found in this study need to be followed up with research the next which is related and relevant to the problems contained in this study

Abstract

The quality of education is closely related to the literacy culture of the community. The low literacy culture in children is alleged to have been the cause of the low quality of education in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of literacy culture in improving the quality of education, to find out how to increase the literacy culture of students, and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving the literacy culture of students. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The results showed that literacy culture is very influential in education, especially to absorb information and increase the skill level of students. Efforts to increase literacy culture include the Literacy Awareness Movement program and collaborating with various elements to increase literacy awareness.

Abstract

This research is to describe and analyze carryng out, the factors supporting and inhibiting, and efforts to overcome obstacles utilization learning media learning-based PAK digital mobile learning. The research approach used is a qualitative descriptive research approach with type of multi site research and a tringulation method, with the research sites located in High School Country 9 Manado in 2020. Date were collected through interview, observation, and documentation techniques. From the finding result carryng out of utilization PAK learning media based on digital mobile learning, it has long been used and has become pilar for education activities in school. PAK theachers use several applications to make it easier, more practical and efficient in terms of providing teaching materials, as well as in work on teacher administration. In learn media utilization there are factors supporting and inhibiting. The supporting factors there are: 1) There is a desire, motivation, integrity from teacher and students, 2) Theacers PAK and students get pulse subsidy assistance, internet quotas from School Operational Assistance fund, 3) Teachers receiver application introduction training. Obstacle factor there are: 1) Internet network connection depend on geograpich location and weather factors, and the operating system on the gadget device used, 2) Internet quota that that is quite large and expensive, 3) Lack of digital literacy skills.To overcome these obstacle, efforts need to be made: 1) Looking for a spot or area internet network connection better, or by replacing the gadget device with a more suitable operating system, 2) Barriers to school internet quota needs provide internet quota subsidies to teachers and students, 3) Throught training (workshops), self taught manner lerning by utilizing educational applications or content as well as using other people as tutors.

Abstract

This research is aimed at analyzing univeristy students’ errors in using Passive Voice. Specifically, it is aimed for obtaining and identifying the common error in using passive voice and finding out what factors which trigger the students make such errors. The data sources of this research were 38 students of fifth semester university students of in South Jakarta which were taken by random sampling. The researcher used the descriptive analysis method in this research to describe students’ errors and analyzed the data by using formula: P = The data were taken from the test. The findings showed that there are 229 errors made by students. The common error made by students in using Passive Voice was Misformation, which consists of 152 errors or 66.3%. According to Brown’s theory, it was interpreted that, intralingual transfer, interlingual transfer, context of learning and communicative strategies are causes of those errors.

Abstract

In 2013 curriculum , the integration of higher thinking skills are required to encourage students to achieve the competencies of critical thinking, creativity and innovation, communication, collaboration, and confidence. One of essential learning sources is textbook, therefore it should facilitate the higher thinking skills as the basis of this curriculum. As the result, this present research mainly focuses on investigating the realization of HOTS based on revised Bloom’s taxonomy namely: analyzing level (C4), evaluating level (C5), and creating level (C6) in the reading comprehension questions found within English textbooks for grade 10th which are published by the Ministry of Education and Culture entitled Bahasa Inggris SMA/MA/SMK/MAK. This research is a content analysis employing descriptive qualitative approach. The researcher collected and listed the questions in the reading comprehension tasks and then calculated the percentage and frequencies of each level of cognition. The results showed that the lower order thinking skills (LOTS) are less dominant than the higher order thinking skills HOTS). After analyzing the data, the finding of HOTS in reading comprehension questions have reached 64.3 % of 100 % while it was 35.3 % for lower order thinking skills LOTS). It indicated that this textbook concentrated more on higher –level thinking questions than lower lever thinking.

Abstract

Online learning is an alternative learning that is carried out during the Corona pandemic season. Although not as unbalanced as expected, this learning needs to be done, in order to reduce the number of corona patients. The aim of this research is to describe the effectiveness of the learning of the junior high school students' counseling guidance subject. The method used is a qualitative method. Researchers take data from students through online interviews, photos, and questionnaires. The data is processed by sorting the data, and analyzing the data. The data were taken from SMP Bani Taqwa Bekasi. A total of 21 junior high school students grade VII and VIII The results showed that online learning guidance counseling online learning in BK subjects at Bani Taqwa Middle School went quite well, 74% of students were happy to follow online, learning had used the right online application, students could argue constraints well ,. There is a good two-way communication. However, there are still some obstacles and problems. There are 26% who do not feel happy learning darng, this is due to several factors such as boredom, readiness to use applications, internet networks and the ability to use online applications. The author suggests that online application training is needed, additional rest hours, increased interesting learning as well as a continuous learning program.
