Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Current Ratio (CR) and Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) on financial performance proxied by Return on Asset (ROA) in food and beverage subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2017-2022 period. Financial performance is carried out to measure the performance of an organization within a certain period of time, which reflects the level of success in carrying out its activities. The number of samples used was 11 food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the IDX for 2017-2022 and were obtained using a purposive sampling method. While the data used is in the form of secondary data with quantitative data types during the 2017-2022 period. This research method is descriptive statistics with the approach, namely the classical assumption test, and multiple linear analysis. Data is processed with the help of SPSS 25 software. Based on the results of the research carried out simultaneously with statistical tests showing that the Current Ratio and Debt to Asset Ratio variables simultaneously affect financial performance. The results of the partial Current Ratio research show that the results do not have a significant effect on financial performance.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the cultivation of social attitudes through Civic Education (PKn) learning among 5th-grade students at SDN Karang Tengah 1. To achieve its objectives, the study establishes three primary goals: firstly, to comprehend the process of cultivating social attitudes through PKn education within the environment of SDN Karang Tengah 1; secondly, to identify the challenges that arise in the effort of instilling these social attitudes; and thirdly, to unveil the strategies applied to address these challenges in the process of fostering social attitudes through PKn education. The findings of this research reveal that the cultivation of social attitudes among 5th-grade students at SDN Karang Tengah 1 can be effectively achieved through the PKn learning approach. The role of teachers in providing positive role models to students, both within and outside the classroom, proves to be pivotal in internalizing and practicing these social values. However, the study also identifies challenges in the form of certain students being tempted to engage in cheating behaviors during assignments. Solutions to these challenges involve firm measures taken by teachers, including reprimanding involved students and the subsequent positive response from these students, demonstrated through apologies and acknowledgments of their mistakes. This research provides a comprehensive insight into the potential of PKn education as an effective tool in shaping social attitudes at the primary education level. By identifying barriers and their mitigating strategies, the study underscores the crucial role of teachers in guiding students' social development and offers valuable input for the development of holistic learning approaches that center on the cultivation of citizenship values.

Abstract

Sustainable Agrifood Management in Indonesia (SAMI) 2021 adalah program summer course yang diselenggarakan oleh Departemen Manajemen IPB. Untuk meingkatkan kualitas program selanjutnya diperlukan adanya analisa dan evaluasi pelatihan. Adapun tujuan dari penilitian ini adalah : 1) Menganalisis implementasi program dan karakteristik peserta Summer Course Sustainable Agrifood Management (SAMI) 2021; 2) Mengevaluasi Summer Course Sustainable Agrifood Management in Indonesia (SAMI) menggunakan evaluasi Kirkpatrick; 3) Mengevaluasi Summer Course Sustainable Agrifood Management in Indonesia (SAMI) menggunakan evaluasi Return on Training Investment; 4)Menganalisis strategi keberlanjutan program SAMI melalui pendekatan Force Field Analysis. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif, analisis gap,uji Wilcoxon, Net Promoter Score (NPS), 50-30-20 model, Return on Training Investment, dan Force Field Analysis dengan bantuan Microsoft Excel 2019 dan SPSS Statistics. Hasil dari penelitian ini pada level reaksi adalah peserta sangat puas terhadap penyelenggaraan SAMI 2021, pada level pembelajaran peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan skill secara signifikan, pada tingkat perilaku terjadi perubahan perilaku positif setelah mengikuti kegiatan pelatiahan, dan pada level hasil menunjukkan peserta bersedia menjadi promoter untuk mengitu program SAMI selanjutnya. Pada implikasi Return on Training Investment investasi yang diberikan menguntungkan bagi Departemen Manajemen IPB University.

Abstract

Poverty is a major and underlying problem in Indonesia. Poverty is usually caused by education, income, location, health care, finances and public services. One of the processing operations is city area processing. Through a complete and independent understanding in a structured program. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) state that poverty is a priority issue that needs to be addressed urgently. Solving poverty is closely linked to global goals such as clean water, sanitation, well-being and health. Poverty is also a major problem in the city of Surakarta, which is currently developing aggressively and focusing on urban spatial planning. Because the study is descriptive and qualitative, the information obtained is in the form of verbal information. As outlined in the National Long-term Development Plan (RPJN) 2005-2025 and the Regional Medium-term Plan 2021-2026 (RPJMD), developing a poverty reduction strategy is an important step in influencing sustainability. The purpose of this study is to examine urban, riverside, and suburban poverty mapping. A phenomenological approach is used to acquire primary and secondary data sources. The method of collecting data by studying the literature on documents is deductive analysis using deductive methods. The results of this study show that there are differences in urban and regional poverty rates, but they share the same indicators. Based on the information obtained, practical solutions can be implemented. Specifically, the orderly structure of settlements, the coping with unexpected disasters, the provision of sanitation services, the coping with waste pollution, the activation of natural resources (SDA), and the certification of workers in the formal sector. Abstract

This research aims to examine how the objectification of women and the exploitation of women's bodies are depicted in the movie "Suster Keramas".The author utilizes theories of patriarchy, women's objectification, and capitalism to analyze this topic.The author finds that the movie "Suster Keramas" overtly employs the objectification of women, evident through sensual scenes and the use of Rin Sakuragi, as the main character. The film's producers employ such tactics to attract audiences and generate profit. Despite the negative responses, "Suster Keramas" managed to attract a significant audience of 800,000 viewers at that time. This indicates that the film perpetuates patriarchal discourse through the objectification of women within its narrative. Moreover, the profit motive within the film aligns with the exploitative and expansionist nature of capitalism, thereby justifying the exploitation of women's bodies as a means to maximize profits. Hence, patriarchy and capitalism are closely intertwined in the movie "Suster Keramas."

Abstract

This study aims to explore EFL secondary students’ experiences and challenges in HelloTalk-assisted digital storytelling in learning speaking. The students will practice using HelloTalk application to complete the digital storytelling activity. It includes choosing topic, gain information, composing script, and delivering stories. This study was using qualitative research with narrative inquiry. In order to uncover the student perspectives and insights in gaining a direct understanding of their experiences and challenges encountered during their practices, this study employed a semi-structured interview. The finding showed that students had positive response on HelloTalk-assisted digital storytelling in speaking classroom. It proven by the participants used HelloTalk actively to practice speaking through DST to trains their speaking practice, and scafold students’ confidence in target language. Nevertheless, there was students that found some difficulties related to their pronunciation and vocabulary. They still have the lack of vocabulary and low pronunciation that make them missed pronunciation when talking with language partners on HelloTalk app. Therefore, it can be said that the result of this study is EFL secondary students had positive response in HelloTalk-assisted digital storytelling in speaking classroom

Abstract

Advances in information and communication technology (ICT) have fueled the demand for fast and reliable connectivity. Fiber to the Home (FTTH) is recognized as an effective solution to provide high internet speed and reliable access to users' homes. This study aims to design an optimal FTTH network at Perum Bumi Karawang Baru. The research method involves literature study to understand the concept of FTTH, network topology analysis, geographic mapping, and analysis of user needs. Network topology analysis identifies key distribution points and plans main routes, while geographic mapping estimates the number of users and distribution of houses in Perum Bumi Karawang Baru. The data is used for fiber optic cable planning and Optical Line Terminal (OLT) placement. Analysis of user needs is carried out to determine the desired internet speed, number of potential users, and other network requirements. FTTH network design includes the selection of OLT devices, Optical Network Units (ONU), and appropriate network components based on this analysis. The result is an FTTH network design with a network topology map, OLT placement, fiber optic cable mapping, and ONU configuration. The goal is to optimize the quality of internet connectivity, meet user needs, and enable easy growth in the future. This research provides practical guidance for related parties in planning and building an FTTH network at Perum Bumi Karawang Baru, so that people can enjoy high internet speed and reliable connectivity to support their digital needs.

Abstract

Quality and freshness of meat is a critical factor in the food industry to maintain consumer health. This study aims to implement a gas sensor with a Neural Network (NN) approach to detect the freshness level of meat. The NN method has proven capable of recognizing complex patterns in data, which can be applied in gas sensor analysis to obtain important information about the condition of the meat. In this experiment, 5 different gas sensors were used to measure the gases produced during meat degradation. The data from the gas sensor is then processed by the Neural Network to build a predictive model for meat freshness. Experiments were carried out using meat samples at various levels of freshness. The test results were obtained, namely the difference in readings between sensors was 2% and meat that started not being fresh occurred after 10 hours and above

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form and function of directive speech acts in the dialogue of the film Sweet 20 directed by Ody C. Harahap which is then implicated in learning in senior high school. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data were analyzed using the free-involved listening technique and the note-taking technique. The findings of the data generated in this study as a whole amounted to 41 data on the form of directive speech acts and their functions. Data on the use of directive speech acts can be broken down as follows: (1) the form of command directive speech acts as much as 8 data; (2) form of request directive speech act as much as 15 data; (3) the form of directive solicitation speech acts as much as 5 data; 4) the form of directive advice speech acts as much as 5 data; 5) the form of critical directive speech acts as much as 3 data; and (6) form of prohibitive directive speech act as much as 5 data.

Abstract

January effect adalah fenomena anomali yang terjadi di pasar modal dimana return di bulan Januari cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan bulan lainnya. Kecenderungan bulan-bulan tertentu untuk memberikan return yang signifikan dibandingkan dengan bulan-bulan lainnya dikenal dengan istilah month of the year effect. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh january effect dan month of the year effect terhadap perusahaan yang tercatat di Indeks LQ45 tahun 2020-2022. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 28 perusahaan dengan menggunakan metode sampel jenuh dari dari populasi seluruh perusahaan yang berturut-turut tercatat di Indeks LQ45 selama tahun 2020-2022. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data harga penutupan bulanan perusahaan yang digunakan untuk menghitung return realisasi bulanan perusahaan. Data tersebut kemudian melalui tahap analisis paired sample t-test untuk membuktikan fenomena january effect dan one-way ANOVA untuk membuktikan fenomena month of the year effect. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa fenomena january effect tidak terjadi pada perusahaan yang tercatat Indeks LQ45 dan fenomena month of the year effect terjadi dalam bentuk return signifikan positif pada bulan Oktober dan return signifikan negatif pada bulan Maret pada perusahaan yang tercatat Indeks LQ45.
