Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengukuran Psikoogi (JPPP) is an open access journal in psychology published by The Faculty of Psychology Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). JPPP is a bi-annual peer reviewed journal that publishes original and meaningful contributions to the field of psychology in Indonesia. The journal aims for experimental, theoretical, measurement development and theoretical review articles in all areas of psychology. In particular, we expected to received article with advances statistical analysis in measurement, psychometric, and modelling study in psychology.

Abstract

This research aimed to look the picture of value and personality characteristic of effective teacher according to student from state school of East Jakarta perspective. This research use quantitative approach and descriptive method. Total sample of this research are 165 student with a accidental sampling technique. This instrument has been made based on the characteristic in UU of teacher 2005, research from Gao and Liu (2012), Mcber (2004), and Big Five personality trait. The result of this research found that good characters, drive to improve, patience, respectfulness, agreeability are the effective teacher’s value and personality characteristic.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find the stages of self-acceptance in wife with homosexual husband. The stages of self-acceptance taken from Christopher Germer’s stages of self-acceptance and consists of five stages; aversion, curiosity, tolerance, allowing, and friendship. This research also wanted to find out the reason underlying why a wife still keeping her marriage alive with homosexual husband.This research was conducted using qualitative methods because the phenomenon to be studied belong to a unique phenomenon. This research uses purposive sampling technique to selected its subject. The approach used in this research is case study. Study results showed that both of the subjects are already achieved three out of five stages of self-acceptance. The reason why they still keeping up their marriage alive are because of affection towards the husband, religion factor, and family factor

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal communication to supervisors with the studennts fear of failure in completing undergraduated thesis. The research approach used in this study is quantitative, with the correlation analysis method. Fear of failure is measured by the Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (PFAI) scale of David E. Conroy (2001) with a reliability of 0.98, while the interpersonal communication scale is adapted from Evi Zuhara (2014) thesis from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia with a reliability of 0,86. The respondents in this study are 136 students, who are completing the undergraduated thesis in Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The findings indicate there is a relationship between interpersonal communication towards the students fear of failure. The value of correlation coefficient generated equal to 0,240 with significance of 0,005 at the significance level of 5%. It can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between interpersonal communication to supervisors with students fear of failure in completing undergraduated thesis.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of interpersonal behavior of teacher on learning interest of Angkasa 1 Senior High School Students in 10th grade. The research method is quantitative using the Likert Scale. Thereby, researchers used the instruments, that have been adapted, the Interpersonal Behavior of Teacher. The literatures used are “Questionnaire on Teacher Interaction” which was written by Wubbels, Creton, and Holvast and modified/edited by Maulana, and “Minat Belajar Matematika” which was written by Fahrul Usman and Fitriani. There are totally 100 Angkasa 1 Senior High School’s students in the 10th grade between the ages of 15 and 17 as the samples of this research, which are collected by using the sampling insidental as a method. The method of data processing used for the hypothesis is regression analysis. The result is impressive, the ‘higher’ interpersonal behavior the teacher shows, the more learning interest on Mathematics the students have. After all, it shows statistically that the learning interest on mathematics is 26% influenced by the interpersonal behavior of teacher and the rest 74% by another factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the comparison in forgiveness of women victims of domestic violence in terms of the presence of children. The research used quantitative method wtith t-test technique to compare the means of two groups sample. The sample in this study for women with children is 30 respondents. And The sample in this study for women without children is 30 respondents. The sampling techniques used in this research is non probablity sampling test. Data obtained using The Transgression-Related Interpersonal Motivations Inventory-18 (TRIM-18) designed by McCoullough and adopted by researcher. Based on analysis data using independent t-test technique, its known that t t = -,0444 < 2.002; p =0,639 > 0,05. Based on the results, this means that there is no significant difference of forgiveness in women victims of domestic violence reviewed from children presence.

Abstract

The objectives of this research is to know the difference of moral reasoning between boys and girls perceived from authoritarian, authoritative and permissive parents. The subjects of this research were 81 students at primary school of Al Falah Sei Mencirim Kutalimbaru Sumatera Utara. The data of the study was collected by using two scales, they are Moral Reasoning scale and parenting style scale. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was applied to analyze the data, which resulted that parenting styles and gender interact each other in affecting moral reasoning (F : 5,580; p = 0.006 < 0.05), and it means that there is a difference of moral reasoning among boys and girls perceived from authoritarian, authoritative and permissive parenting styles. Based on the finding above, it is suggested that educators should develop suitable teaching strategy which may enhance positive developmental aspects by avoiding sex stereotypes; encouraging to be independent and take a risk; and guiding in problem solving. It is suggested too that parents should avoid different parenting between boys and girls and help them to make moral decision properly so the can avoid social adapting problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe teenage athlete body image who study at State Ragunan Jakarta junior and senior high school. There are five dimensions related to body image such as Appearance Evaluation, Appearance Orientation, Body Area Satisfaction, Overweight Pre-occupation, and Self-Classified Weight. This study used ex-post facto method where participants were asked to fill in the MBSRQ-AS (Multidimensional Body Self Relations Questionnaires-Appearance Scale) trials and final data. Participants who involved in the trials are 65 people and from that the reliability of MBSRQ-AS is known for 0,77. For the final data participants who involved are 146 people. Participants is teenage around 12-18 years old. This study was conducted on June 2017 at State Ragunan Jakarta junior and senior high school. The results of this study obtained a conclusion that 55,5% teenage athlete who study at State Ragunan Jakarta junior and senior high school and involved in this study have a negative body image

Abstract

This study aimed to examined the relationship between social support and resilience among elementary school teacher. This study use a correlational quantitative approach to determined the relationship. A total of 100 teacher were participating in this study, and gathered using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and Resiliencce Quotient Test. Pearson Product Moment with SPSS version 16.0 was used to test the hypothesis of the study. The results show that, r=0,706; p = 0,000 < 0,05. This results suggested that there is a significant relationship with positive concentration between social support and resilience among elementary school teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of social skills and cyberbullying on adolescent as perpetrator or victim in Instagram. The participants in this study were 156 adolescents aged 18 to 24 years, using Instagram, living in Jakarta. The research method used is quantitative with linear regression analysis one predictor. The instrument of cyberbullying in this research is Revised Cyber Bullying II from Topcu & Erdu-Baker and the instrument of social skills in this research is Social Skills Inventory from Riggio & Carney. The results showed that there was no significant influence between social skills and cyberbullying preferences on adolescents who become the perpetrator or the victim in Instagram

Abstract

Many people think that the highest intelligence among the other multiple intelligences is IQ intelligence. It's just that IQ intelligence is more often used in everyday life to get material, find solutions, and solve problems. The author assumes SQ is the intelligence of the highest intelligence among multiple intellegence where SQ is the inner intelligence of the mind and soul to build yourself into a whole person by always thinking positive in dealing with every incident that happened. Therefore, the authors assume that students who have spiritual intelligence will always be able to solve problems in education. The purpose of this study is as follows To know the nature of spiritual intelligence To know the essence of student achievement To know the relation of spiritual intelligence to student achievement. The method used is descriptive correlational method is to describe the relationship of one variable with another variable to find conclusions in the form of a comparison. This method is used to take the results of a general picture of whether there is a positive or negative correlation
