Abstract

This research is research in the area of Operations Management which are discuss the problem of production capacity planning in a production system. The availability of production capacity is the aspect that must be considered to support the production process and fulfill the target of production. The case study was carried out in a business of making and selling cassava chips which experienced an increase in demand levels. An analysis of the availability of production capacity is needed. The target of current production level is also needs to be evaluated based on forecasting results. The aims of the research is to determine the targets of production based on forecasting results and evaluate the production capacity of the case study organization using RCCP method. Forecasting methods that is deployed in this research is the Moving Average Method, Double Moving Average Method, and Single Exponential Method (∝=0,1) since the historical data to be used are time series data. Implementation RCCP method is carried out by making a Master Production Schedule, Bill of Material, and Routing File. The Findings show that there is an increasing trend in demand and the production targets set by the manager must be adjusted to the forecasting results. In terms of production capacity, a comparison of Availability Capacity and Requirement Capacity shows that the company’s production capacity is still adequate even though the demand tends to increase. Abstract

XY is a building materials industry company, which often faces the challenge of high levels of defective products due to loading processes. To solve this problem, the study applied the Six Sigma method to minimize the occurrence of defects in the loading process. (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The first step defines the characteristics of the resulting defect. The second step measures the creation of a control diagram. The third step analyzes the main factors of the occurrence of product defects. The fourth step improves is a proposal for improvement to reduce the failure. The final control process is making recommendations for improvement, this is entirely carried out by the company. From the results of the research, it was found that the defective product was loaded at a rate of 1,107 with a probability of damage of 7,204,102 products per million chances. (DPMO). Based on the Pareto diagram of the level of damage caused by the production process, damaged by the forklift, damages during handling, and damages by the pallet. Based on the fishbone diagram, improvements are needed on human factors, environmental factors, material factors, mechanical factors, and method factors. Abstract

This study analyzes the queuing system for motorcycle fuel filling at a gas station in Cilegon city using discrete simulation. The gas station often faces long queues that cause inconvenience and decrease operational efficiency. The research method includes collecting primary data through direct observation to obtain information on the number of vehicle arrivals, service time, and the number of operating booths. Secondary data is obtained from the literature related to queuing systems. After the data is collected, distribution analysis is conducted to understand the arrival and service patterns. A simulation model is created and tested using Arena Software. Model verification and validation ensure the accuracy of the simulation results. The research findings show that in the initial model, 54 vehicles were served in 50 minutes with an average waiting time of 45.9506 seconds. The first improvement scenario added one operator to each server, while the second scenario added a new server with two operators. The second scenario provided the best results with 106 vehicles served in 50 minutes and the waiting time reduced to 31.6773 seconds, showing a significant increase in system efficiency. The percentage increase in the number of vehicles served is approximately 96.30%, while the waiting time decreased by 31.06%. The implementation of the second scenario is expected to reduce queues and improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency at the gas station. Keywords: Arena, Gas Station, Queue, Simulation

Abstract

This research aims to find a subsection of the procurement system as an optimal choice in management. The system management studied is the construction of a contextual technopark at PTN X Analysis using by Analytical Hierarchy Process ae past and accurately therefore the results of modeling and processing show that the decision value reaches 0.03165 for industry, 0.1772 for infrastructure, 0.0733 for sustainability, 0.0733 for partnerships, 0.36238 for location, 0.0733 for local government, 0.1772 for capital, and 0.03165 for labor, so the largest is the location factor in the procurement management system optimal.   Keywords: Management, optimal, procurement, technopark

Abstract

This research explores the implementation of project management using the Waterfall method in the context of creating a company document lending information system. The main objective is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the document lending process through structured project planning, organization, and supervision. The method for creating this document lending application uses the Waterfall method. This method is used to create a document lending application in stages based on work starting with analysis, design, coding, and testing. The results are expected to provide practical guidance for organizations in adopting the Waterfall method for similar projects, as well as strengthen project management as a strategic tool for achieving corporate goals. Abstract

The possibility of accidents in a building project is one of the causes of hampering the effectiveness of project work activities. Workers are required to implement a good occupational safety and health (K3) management system to minimize the possibility of work accidents. An example of a case in the construction world occurred in the Gading Mediterania Apartment construction project located in Kelapa Gading. The accident that occurred killed four workers. Two people were killed by precast concrete and two people died from electric shock. Therefore, to prevent the recurrence of the incident, research was conducted using fishbone analysis. The purpose of this research is to analyze the importance of using personal protective equipment at PT Djabesmen. The method used helps the author in analyzing the possibility of accidents on the project. The results of the analysis explain that the percentage of PPE use at PT Djabesmen is good. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the risk of body position patterns in Toko Sembako Jawi workers using the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) method. Through the distribution of Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaires and interviews, factors causing pain at work were identified, particularly due to repetitive lifting activities with a load of 7-10 kg. The RULA method was applied to evaluate the work posture of the worker's upper body. The results of the analysis showed that the job was high risk with a grand score of 7, indicating the need for immediate investigation and remedial changes. Recommendations included improvements to the upper body positioning pattern by providing better direction to workers as well as suggestions for changes to the work environment, including the use of assistive devices in the work such as folding trolleys and back support belts. By identifying risks and providing recommendations for improvement, this study is expected to improve ergonomic conditions and prevent injuries to the musculoskeletal system of Toko Sembako Jawi workers. Abstract

GKD is an automotive manufacturing company. One of the products from PT. GKD is Crossmember which weighs 34 kg. During the part checking process at the Quality Control station, there is a manual handling activity from the bottom of the floor to the pallet carried out by the production operator. The position of taking the part does not match the operator's body posture so the operator takes the part while bending over. Based on interviews and distributing NBM questionnaires to operators, it was found that operators suffered musculoskeletal injuries to the hips, back, arms, shoulders and legs. This research was conducted to reduce activities that have the potential to cause musculoskeletal injuries to operators, by using the NBM (Nordic Body Map) questionnaire method to analyze ergonomic risks and analyzing work postures using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method before the proposed assistive equipment. Abstract

This study applie the reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method to analyze the maintenance of tensile tensile testing machines at PT. BK. By collecting data on machine failures and reliability, the study conducts an analysis of failure causes and identifies critical failure mode. Based on the analysis, maintenance action are determined, including preventive maintenance, condition-based repairs, and the-based repairs. The effectiveness of these maintenance action is evaluated considering factors such as cost, time and impact on machine performance. The results of this study provide valuable insight fot planning optimal maintenance strategies of tensile testing machines, aiming to improve operational reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance cost. Abstract

Asia Pacific Fibers, Tbk Karawang is one of the factory facilities producing Polyester Chips and Synthetic Fibers which was previously called PT.Polysindo Eka Perkasa. PT. Asia Pacific Fibers is a public company operating in the textile sector and headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. The company also has standard procedures for dealing with emergency situations and providing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to employees. The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) system in a company should be considered. However, even though the company has implemented an OHS system, there are still many employees who violate it and lack awareness of work accidents that can occur. Therefore, this research aims to identify and assess potential work accidents and determine which potentials must be prioritized. The methods used in this research are job safety analysis (JSA) and risk assessment. The results of this research are that there are 2 potential work accidents in the minor/tolerate category, 3 in the moderate category, and 2 potential work accidents in the serious category and immediate prevention recommendations must be given.
