Abstract

Non-violence ethics wants to invite parents to play their duties and roles as non-violence ethics educators. This research was carried out using qualitative methods with a narrative-descriptive approach. It is hoped that through a narrative-descriptive approach, the context can be investigated to see how the role of parents becomes educators. At GMIT Emmaus Liliba, cases of violence against children are pretty high, and, unfortunately, violence is carried out by those closest to them, such as parents and other family members. Most parents at GMIT Emmaus Liliba understand that a child needs to be educated with full attention and affection in adolescence. However, for them, violence is also necessary if the child is disobedient. Robert L. Holmes believes that awareness, consistency, and never giving up are the first steps in parents' efforts to present new, creative, non-violent educational patterns. Therefore, non-violence education is the path that needs to be chosen so that the implementation of education in the family improves the lives of teenagers aged 15-17.

Abstract

This article aims to read Exodus 1:8-2:10 from a postcolonial feminist perspective by highlighting the role of women in the text who have the ability to act as agents of social change. The injustice and discrimination experienced by women persists for a long time because the influence of patriarchal and kyriarchal culture is still inherent in society. Injustice and discrimination have a negative impact on women, namely physical, economic, psychological losses and the progress of society as a whole. From this, the injustice and discrimination experienced by women needs to be combated. One effort to combat this is by showing the important role of women as agents of social change. This research uses qualitative research methods with a literature study approach. In reading Exodus 1:8-2:10 using postcolonial feminist hermeneutics by bringing the experiences of women in today's life to bring out messages in the biblical text. Abstract

The article explores the socio-rhetorical interpretation of Titus 2:1-10, focusing on the Christian family's obligations. Titus, one of the Pastoral Epistles, addresses issues within the church community. With its distinctive language style and historical background, Titus offers advice to church leaders and addresses the challenges faced in Crete. Through socio-rhetorical analysis, the study delves into the inner texture and intertexture of the text, examining the implied author, narrator, and characters' roles in conveying the message. The text emphasizes the importance of personal conduct aligned with sound teaching, particularly within the family structure. Titus advocates for healthy relationships and behavior within households, influencing broader community dynamics. Employing qualitative research methods, the study integrates socio-cultural contexts to elucidate the text's message. Ultimately, Titus 2:1-10 serves as a rhetorical strategy urging adherence to sound doctrine, with the family serving as the foundational unit for moral education and behavior. Upholding these teachings fosters a community characterized by authenticity and virtue, essential for every individual within the family unit.

Abstract

Fellowship is a very fundamental thing in Christianity. At the beginning, God created humans with one goal, namely to have fellowship with them. The fellowship between God and man was broken due to sin, but in Christ it has been restored. Therefore, Christian fellowship concerns three aspects, namely with God, fellow believers and fellow humans. However, over time, Christian fellowship has become a serious problem and must be given special attention. Christians still have the problem of fellowship with God, believers and unbelievers. One of the factors influencing Christian fellowship is the development of information technology or what is better known as the era of society 5.0. Researchers use qualitative methods that utilize books, articles that are related to this paper. The author also carried out investigations and analyzes of every source related to this research. This research places emphasis on Christian fellowship as the responsibility of believers throughout the era. The research results found that many Christians ignore fellowship with God, believers and non-believers. This research emphasizes that Christian fellowship must be the focus of churches, schools, STTs and Christian institutions. Christian fellowship should be a basic need for every Christian throughout the ages.

Abstract

Prosperity theology is a movement that emerged and became a phenomenon in itself that has greatly influenced Christian life since the 20th century. For prosperity theology, suffering is a sin and is not pleasing to God for those who experience suffering. So, when prosperity theology talks about the suffering that occurs in the lives of believers, this teaching sees it as God's curse, prosperity theology believes that believers must be materially rich, physically healthy and have an abundant life. The doctrine of prosperity theology is too attractive and rejects the suffering that occurs in the lives of believers. The presence of prosperity theology teachings raises problems related to Christian theology. This paper uses qualitative methods through a systematic theology approach. This approach is taken to see how prosperity theology builds its theology, and evaluates it. Prosperity theology builds its theology based on John 10:10b and interprets it with its own understanding without paying attention to the actual meaning. The conclusion of this scientific work is to provide correct understanding for believers and also to correct incorrect understanding of prosperity theology.

Abstract

The call speaks of the invitation to salvation that God gives freely to mankind. God does not want humans to just experience repentance and receive salvation, but also to be involved in serving Him in the world in preaching the Gospel. God will even call someone to serve Him full time. This paper is a qualitative research study with a phenomenological approach to find a correlation between the patterns of calling to service of Bible figures and the patterns of calling of students at STT Evangeli Bhakti Caraka. This paper can hopefully help students to become more confident and firm in their vocation, and can also serve as reference material for theological colleges before accepting new students. Apart from that, this paper can broaden students' insight into calling patterns and also add to the literature in carrying out tasks related to calling. In this paper, it was found that knowing the correlation between the calling patterns of figures in the Bible and the calling patterns of students at STT Evangeli Bhakti Caraka actually had an impact, namely that students became more confident in their calling.

Abstract

This study examines the theology of God's wrath as expressed in Numbers 12:9, focusing on textual and contextual analysis. The verse describes God's response to Miriam and Aaron's actions in questioning the authority of Moses, God's chosen leader for the Israelites. Using a hermeneutic approach, this study explores the historical, social, and theological background of the event. The findings of the study indicate that God's wrath in Numbers 12:9 is not only an expression of anger but also a disciplinary action that aims to teach and correct His people. God's wrath reflects His justice and holiness and reinforces the importance of obedience and respect for God's established authority. The historical context shows that Miriam and Aaron's actions are a form of rebellion against the divine order that results in serious consequences. This study concludes that God's wrath in Numbers 12:9 functions as a teaching and corrective mechanism that aims to maintain the loyalty and obedience of the Israelites to God. This understanding provides deeper insight into the nature of God's wrath in Old Testament theology, namely as a manifestation of God's love, justice, and desire to guide His people towards righteousness
