Indonesian Journal of Society Engagement (IJSE) merupakan jurnal tahunan yang membahas praktik dan proses keterlibatan masyarakat. Jurnal ini terbit tiga kali setahun (April, Agustus, dan Desember). Untuk itu kami menyediakan forum bagi para akademisi, praktisi, dan perwakilan masyarakat untuk mengeksplorasi isu-isu dan merefleksikan praktik-praktik yang berkaitan dengan rangkaian penuh aktivitas masyarakat yang diikutsertakan. Jurnal ini merupakan online peer-review yang didedikasikan untuk publikasi penelitian berkualitas yang berfokus pada penelitian, implementasi, kebijakan tentang keterlibatan masyarakat. Kami berharap jurnal ini dapat menyebarkan isu-isu pelibatan masyarakat di seluruh Indonesia. Indonesian Journal of Society Engagement diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Kajian Demokrasi dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (LKD-PM). Jurnal ini memberikan kesempatan untuk berbagi wawasan terperinci dari berbagai pemahaman dan praktik yang terkait dengan layanan masyarakat. Keterlibatan Masyarakat berarti pengembangan masyarakat, layanan masyarakat, pemberdayaan masyarakat, penjangkauan masyarakat, dan penelitian tindakan. Abstract

Product marketing is one of the essential things for MSMEs to improve their business. In the current digitalization era, MSMEs must adopt and integrate technology into their business activities and carry out attractive branding of the products they market. In connection with the importance of branding, from the results of the preliminary study conducted by the community service team, it is known that there are still MSMEs in Pancoran Mas Depok that need to understand the benefits of branding in product marketing. Therefore, the team conducted training activities on branding strategies for MSME players in Pancoran Mas, Depok. This activity was carried out in several stages: coordination, pre-test filling, branding strategy training, and post-test filling. In addition to the training provided by the community service team, this community service activity also invited resource persons who are practitioners in the field of branding to give training on branding strategies in marketing products. From the training results, the participants considered the training beneficial for marketing products, especially those based on social media. The participants also thought branding through social media is essential in introducing products to consumers so business sustainability can run well.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competitiveness of the Kemuning Mandiri SME products in Cogreg Village, Bogor Regency, which faces challenges in marketing and branding. Utilizing methods that include socialization, packaging design training, and the utilization of e-commerce, this initiative focuses on product rebranding and the use of technology for production efficiency. The results achieved demonstrate a significant improvement in packaging design, making it more attractive and informative, thereby increasing product appeal. Additionally, members of the SME successfully marketed their products online through e-commerce platforms and social media. The implementation of automatic sealing machines has also greatly contributed to maintaining product quality and extending shelf life, enabling SME members to produce larger volumes without compromising quality. Furthermore, the food processor has assisted Kemuning Mandiri in increasing the production of lele nuggets. The implementation of this program has not only increased sales but also enhanced the capacity of SME members to manage their businesses effectively. It is expected that with ongoing support and collaboration, Kemuning Mandiri SME can continue to grow and make a positive contribution to the local economy.

Abstract

Curug Village, Gunung Sindur District, Bogor Regency has made efforts to become an edutainment tourism village. One year of mentoring by the UPNVJ PPDM Scheme PKM Team has made efforts to prepare Curug Village to become a tourism village by the Curug Village Government forming a Tourism Awareness Group, determining Kampung Sawah Pulo as a rice field tourism location. The residents' discussion in RT 03 RW 03, Curug Village has agreed to make their area a tourism location. Based on the results of the Social Economic Environmental Awareness study in realizing the Fish Edutourism Tourism Village in achieving economic independence, it is necessary to provide assistance to the Tourism Awareness Group so that this ideal can be realized. Support from the Village Government is the main requirement to make Curug Village a tourism village in addition to full support from all villagers. The Applied PKM / Community Partnership Team intends to assist in solving problems in realizing a tourism village in Curug Village from the fields of Group Communication, Finance, Diplomacy, Politics. The next goal is to realize community independence in Curug Village by taking on economic roles according to their abilities. In addition, this Applied PKM supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point eight, namely decent work and economic growth, especially in Curug Village. Optimization of the Tourism Awareness Group of the Sawah Pulo Village community in accordance with the urgency of the needs of the Curug Village community.

Abstract

Kebun Raya Mangrove Surabaya (KRM) is an ecotourism destination focused on mangrove ecosystem conservation and environmental education. To enhance its appeal, build a positive image, and strengthen local economic sustainability, the development of eco-friendly souvenirs rooted in local wisdom presents a promising branding strategy. Souvenirs such as bucket hats, hand fans, brooches, and keychains with mangrove-inspired designs serve not only as promotional tools but also as educational mediums for environmental awareness among tourists. This article presents the results of a community service project aimed at creating souvenir concepts that support KRM’s branding, involving local communities in the production process, and promoting sustainability principles in tourism. The methods employed include training in creative design, producing eco-friendly souvenirs, and implementing digital marketing strategies. The findings indicate that souvenir development can increase tourists' awareness of mangrove ecosystem conservation while positively impacting local communities through income generation and skill development. This souvenir-based branding strategy not only reinforces KRM’s identity as an educational ecotourism destination but also supports environmental preservation and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) in Pangkal Pinang, Bangka, often need help managing production and finance due to limited application of information technology. To overcome the problems of managing production and finance, this community service activity was carried out to implement the "TACON" management information system application in several selected UKM. The method of implementing the activity includes identifying UKM in need, training them to use the application, implementing the system, and monitoring and evaluating its impact. The activity results showed increased operational efficiency, where the production process became more organized, and financial transparency increased with more accurate recording. In addition, the training provided also improved the competence of human resources in the related UKM. The main contribution of this activity is to strengthen the competitiveness of UKM in Pangkalpinang by applying appropriate information technology and providing a solid foundation for UKM in facing future business challenges. This program proves that, when appropriately implemented, information technology can be an effective tool in supporting the sustainability and growth of UKM.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide information about election socialisation to the Elderly group. Community service activities are carried out in Dangin Puri Kauh Village, Denpasar City by conducting preliminary observations and interviews so that the conditions of the village can create a work programme. Based on the results of the analysis, the elderly group was chosen to receive socialisation about the 2024 elections.

Abstract

Taman Aksara has become an important strategy in introducing and preserving Indonesia's cultural heritage, namely Aksara Jawa. In the Special Region of Yogyakarta, the learning of Aksara Jawa in schools, especially through local content lessons, is still well-maintained as an effort to preserve the existence of Aksara Jawa among the Alpha generation. This community service aims to explore the teaching of Aksara Jawa using traditional games based on Tamansiswa teachings as an alternative method to introduce Aksara Jawa to children in the LUKU Community in Sarekan, Canden, Bantul Regency. The implementation of this community service involves active participation from the partners. The service activity was carried out in the LUKU Children's Community with 25 children aged between 3 and 12 years. The results of this community service show that through the traditional game of engklek, the participants were able to more easily internalize cultural values, strengthen their love for local culture, and at the same time learn Aksara Jawa in a contextual, creative, interactive, practical, and enjoyable way.

Abstract

Vocational high school institution, SMK Tri Sukses Depok has an important role in preparing its students to face the world of work or become independent entrepreneurs by providing students with entrepreneurial skills, ranging from identifying business opportunities to preparing sustainable business plans. The purpose of this activity is to develop creative and innovative ideas in creating independent business opportunities, which are expected to improve students' abilities in facing future competition and fostering an entrepreneurial spirit. The method used is to conduct training accompanied by simulations and case studies to develop creative and innovative ideas so that they are ready to face the challenges of the world of work or create independent business opportunities. The training uses learning modules, internet access, projectors, and laptops for presentations. The results of the training showed that there was an increase in participants' knowledge, creativity and innovation in entrepreneurial skills, ranging from identifying business opportunities to preparing business plans and students were motivated to start entrepreneurship. The responses of the training participants were very satisfied and very interested in participating again in the next activity.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to provide training for entrepreneurs who are members of the Bekasi Upgrade SME Community where these SME entrepreneurs need knowledge and resources in carrying out digital marketing strategies in the context of business development. The method used is by giving lectures or presenting material directly. consisting of an explanation of what digital marketing is, creating marketing content and using social media marketing. By knowing the concept of digital marketing and using digital, SME content entrepreneurs can increase the sales potential of their products and attract customers from various regions so that they can expand their market and the business they build can grow in a relatively fast time.
