Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan kurangnya kemampuan manajerial mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika sebagai calon guru dalam hal administrasi dan manajemen sekolah. Pengadaan workshop pelatihan administrasi dan manajemen sangat diperlukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan manajerial mahasiswa dan membekali pengetahuan tentang administrasi dan manajemen sekolah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada Mei 2021 dengan peserta yaitu mahasiswa dan alumni Pendidikan Matematika di Universitas Mataram sebagai calon guru matematika. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk kegiatan yang terdiri dari pemberian pretest untuk mengetahui pengetahuan awal peserta, workshop pelatihan yang dilaksanakan secara virtual melalui Google Meet, dan pemberian postest. Kegiatan ini diharapkan bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa sebagai calon guru untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang administrasi dan manajemen sekolah dan menerapkan kemampuan manajerial yang dipelajari di organisasi/institusi tempat kerja atau sekolah nantinya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa dengan mengkonstruksi kemampuan yang mereka miliki sendiri yang akan berdampak pada peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan lesson study melalui blended learning pada mata kuliah Kapita Selekta Matematika. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan di FKIP Universitas Mataram dengan subjeknya adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika semester III yang mengambil mata kuliah Kapita Selekta Matematika. Pada penelitian ini perlakuan pada siklus I adalah a). Pembentukan kelompok secara heterogen; b) memberikan motivasi di awal pertemuan c) Melakukan persentasi berbasis online melalui Google Meet d). Sesi diskusi; e) Penguatan oleh dosen model; f) memberikan evaluasi dan pengisian angket untuk mengukur kemandirian belajar. Untuk siklus II tidak jauh beda dengan siklus I, pada siklus II diawal pertemuan memberikan pengutan pada materi prasyarat. Sedangkang untuk siklus III  hampir sama dengan siklus II, yang membedakan hanya pada tahap sesi diskusi dirancang lebih menarik lagi berupa sebuah permainan. Sehingga didapatkan hasil kemandirian belajar mahasiswa meningkat di siklus III  sebesar 4,43 % dibandingkan pada siklus I sedangkan hasil belajar yang diperoleh mahasiswa meningkat 8,44 poin dari 70,63 pada siklus I menjadi 79,07 pada siklus III. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan lesson study melalui blended learning berhasil meningkatkan kemandirian dan hasil belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical communication skills of mathematics education students based on their cognitive styles and mathematical knowledge. This research is a qualitative approach. Data were collected by giving the MFFT test to the students to measure their cognitive styles and essay tests for determining their mathematical communication skills. Data were analyzed by comparing the scores of cognitive styles, mathematical communication, and their mathematical performances. The result shows that students with reflective cognitive styles perform better on mathematical communication than impulsive cognitive styles. Moreover, their mathematical knowledge significantly affects their abilities in solving mathematical communication tests.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama terhadap penggunaan aplikasi WhatsApp dalam pembelajaran online selama pandemi COVID-19. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini 20 orang guru di SMPN 1 Labuapi Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik triangulasi dengan menggunakan berbagai instrumen, khususnya  kuesioner dan wawancara tertulis dengan subjek penelitian. Pertanyaan-pertanyaan dalam kuesioner berfokus untuk menguji pendapat guru tentang penggunaan WhatsApp dalam pembelajaran online. Setelah data terkumpul, peneliti menganalisis data dengan menggunakan teknik analisisi data kualitatif yang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Huberman. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah sebanyak (95%) responden menyatakan bahwa Grup WhatsApp efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran online. Semua responden setuju tampilan WhatsApp yang sederhana memudahkan penggunanya saat mengoperasikan aplikasinya

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa calon guru matematika ditinjau dari Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) pada mata kuliah Microteaching. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif, yaitu metode yang berfungsi untuk mendiskripsikan atau menggambarkan objek yang diteliti melalui data sampel atau populasi sebagaimana adanya. Untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan tentang TPACK digunakan skala Likert yang dipakai untuk mengatur sikap, pendapat, dan persepsi sesorang atau kelompok tentang fenomena sosial. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Mataram yang menempuh mata kuliah Microteaching sebanyak 20 orang. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa kemampuan TPACK mahasiswa secara keseluruhan memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,89 dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine eighth grade student problem-solving ability on number pattern material. This study was held academic year focused on assessing students learning styles. The methods used in this study were questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The results showed that class VIII students consisted of 26 students had visual learning styles, 24 students had auditory styles and 16 students had kinesthetic styles. Subjects taken in this study were 2 students from each learning style, then the subject was given a test to describe the number pattern material and conducted an interview. As a result, based on the analysis of the problem-solving ability stages, students with visual and auditory learning styles were able to reach the stage of understanding the question / problem, designing and choosing a solution strategy, and solving problems with a mathematical model, but have not yet reached the stage of re-checking the solutions obtained. On the contrary, Students with a kinesthetic learning style have been able to reach the stage of understanding the question / problem, but have not been able to reach the stage of designing and choosing a solution strategy, or solving problems with mathematical models, and even re-checking the solutions obtained. This shows that the problem solving ability of students with visual and auditory learning styles is better than students with kinesthetic learning styles.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there are differences in students' mathematics learning outcomes using the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model, with the Snowball throwing type cooperative learning model in VIII class of SMPN 1 Narmada. This type of research is an experimental. The sample class was selected using the random sampling cluster technique, with class VIII 1 was obtained as an experimental class with the Jigsaw model and VIII 2 as an experimental class with the Snowball Throwing model. The data was collected using students‟ achievement test as the instrument. The post-test with independent sample t test at the significance level 5% yields thitung>ttabel that is 2,773>1,993 which means that there is a difference between classes taught by Jigsaw and Snowball Throwing toward students' achievement on mathematics at the VIII grade students of SMPN 1 in the academic year 2019/2020. The result shows that the second experimental class obtain higher score (88,24) than the first experimental class (81,21).

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of motivation, anxiety of mathematic’s learning and metacognition awareness to students’ mathematic’s learning outcomes of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Kuripan academic year 2019/2020. The type of this research were quasi-experimental. Determination of the sample used saturation sampling by selected the entire population as a sample, namely class XI IPA. The instrument were questionnaire of motivation, anxiety and metacognition awareness were first tested for validity and reliability in class XII IPA 1 and XII IPA 2. Before a simple linear regression analysis and t-test were performed, the data that had been obtained were first subjected to a prerequisite test. A prerequisite test was normality, homogenity and linearity tests. Based on the results of data analysis used inferential statistical techniques, it can be concluded that, there was a positive effects of mathematic’s learning motivation to metacognition awareness, mathematic’s learning motivation to students’ mathematic’s learning outcomes, metacognition awareness to student mathematic’s learning outcomes, and there was negative effects (r=-0,065) of mathematic’s learning anxiety to students’ mathematic’s learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the cognitive level of competency test questions in the mathematics textbook for students of 2013 Curriculum for SMP/MTs grade 7th semester 1 reviewed from Revised Bloom Taxonomy. Therefore, this type of research is descriptive research. The data source in this study is the student mathematics textbook 2013 Curriculum Edition 2017 Revision for SMP / MTs grade VII semester 1. While the research variable is the cognitive level of each item of competency test in the 2013 Curriculum student mathematics textbook for SMP/MTs grade 7th semester 1. Data collection was performed by using the documentation and questionnaire methods. The guideline used in the item analysis is the Revised Bloom Taxonomy cognitive level which includes C1-remembering; C2-understand; C3-applying; C4-analyze; C5-evaluate; and C6-creating. The results of this study obtained the percentage of C1 cognitive level of 13.69%; C2 of 23.17%; C3 at 51.57%; C4 of 8.42%; C5 at 1.05% and C6 at 2.11%. It can be concluded that the results of the cognitive level of competency test questions in the mathematics textbook for students of Curriculum 2013 for SMP/MTs grade 7th semester 1 are still low and have not met the balance of the difficulty level of the questions.

Abstract

The Errors made by students in completed math problems can be indicators of the low learning achievements. Based on these problems, this study aim to know the categories of errors and the relation or correlations of the types of errors each Polya's steps in solving the material story of system two linear equations students all grade VIII of SMP Negeri 13 Mataram academic year 2019/2020. The population in this study was all student grade VIII of SMP Negeri 13 Mataram. Samples used the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data collection used test essai and interview which had beenvalidated. Error categories were analyzed used interval categories of error levels and for the relation or correlations between types of errors used the Pearson product moment correlation. The results showed that students mistakes for high abilities in the low category, for the medium abilities in the high category and for the low ability level in the high category. Based on data analysis it was found three categories relationships types of errors : namely, sufficient, strong and very strong categories. The level of relationship strong enough for this type of error to understand the problem and formulate a plan, misunderstanding the problem and carrying out the plan, misunderstanding the problem and re-checking. Level of strong links to types of mistakes Arranging plans and executing plans, mistakes compiling plans and re-checking. The level relationship very strong for type error implementing the plan by checking again. When completed a problem should be solved systematically in stages to avoid mistakes that will be made at a later stage.
