Abstract

Early health education on clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) and nutrition plays an important role in establishing healthy lifestyle habits among school-aged children. However, many students still have limited understanding of PHBS practices and healthy food choices, highlighting the need for effective health education interventions. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge of PHBS and nutrition through an educational and interactive approach. The activity was conducted on December 13, 2025, at SD Negeri 12 Sungai Sapih and involved 135 students from various grade levels. The program was delivered through the “Petualangan Sehat Si Hebat” concept using visual media and participatory educational activities. The topics included proper handwashing, personal and environmental hygiene, cough and sneeze etiquette, and healthy food selection. Evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results indicated an increase in students’ knowledge and high enthusiasm during the activity. Creative and interactive health education proved effective in improving students’ understanding of PHBS and nutrition from an early age.

Abstract

The global transition toward renewable energy requires accurate forecasting systems to support effective planning and operational management of power generation. This study aims to analyze and forecast solar and wind energy potential using a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) deep learning model. The dataset consists of secondary meteorological data from July–August 2025 with an initial 5-minute resolution, resampled into hourly data. The analyzed variables include global horizontal irradiance (GHI), air temperature, and wind speed at 10 meters. Separate models were developed for solar and wind energy forecasting. Solar modeling was conducted during daylight conditions (GHI > 50 W/m²), while wind modeling utilized full 24-hour data. The solar model achieved a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 28.02 Watts, RMSE of 34.09 Watts, and an R² value of 0.742. Meanwhile, the wind model obtained an MAE of 4.54 W/m², RMSE of 7.07 W/m², and an R² value of 0.649. These results indicate that the LSTM approach provides good predictive performance for solar energy and moderate performance for wind energy in short-term forecasting.

Abstract

This reseaccrh determines the extent to which allowance for impairment losses (CKPN) impacts firm value within the banking subsector, while also examining whether institutional ownership serves as a moderating variable in this correlation. Secondary data were sourced from the annual reports of banking firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Through a purposive sampling approach, 123 observations were selected as the study sample. Panel data regression was employed to explore the relationships between variables. The findings reveal that CKPN exerts a positive and significant influence on firm value, suggesting that an increase in credit loss reserves tends to be interpreted by investors as evidence of sound and cautious risk management practices. Nevertheless, institutional ownership was not found to significantly moderate the CKPN–firm value relationship. This research enriches the body of knowledge in financial accounting and corporate governance, particularly with regard to the adoption of PSAK 71 on impairment loss provisioning and market reactions in Indonesia. The results are also expected to offer guidance for the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in crafting policies that promote transparent financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, and the long-term stability of the banking industry.

Abstract

Labor pain is a significant physiological and psychological experience for women in labor, particularly during the active phase of the first stage of labor. Non-pharmacological pain management methods, such as hand massage, can serve as an alternative approach to reduce pain intensity without causing side effects for both the mother and the fetus. This study aimed to determine the effect of hand massage on labor pain among women in the active phase of the first stage of labor at Sunan Kalijaga Regional Hospital, Demak. This research employed a quantitative experimental design using a pretest–posttest approach with a sample of 40 laboring mothers who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Pain intensity data were collected using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before and after the hand massage intervention, which was administered for 10–15 minutes. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that 24 respondents experienced a decrease in pain intensity, 8 respondents experienced no change, and 8 respondents experienced an increase in pain intensity, with a p-value of 0.009 (<0.05). These findings indicate that hand massage has a significant effect on reducing labor pain intensity among women in the active phase of the first stage of labor. This study recommends hand massage as an effective non-pharmacological method for labor pain management and supports evidence-based midwifery practice.

Abstract

Abstract

Gangrene wounds are a serious condition characterized by tissue death due to impaired blood circulation and infection, which carry a high risk of amputation if not properly managed. Exercise therapy is a non-pharmacological intervention that can help improve blood circulation, maintain limb function, and accelerate wound healing. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of exercise therapy in minimizing the risk of amputation in patients with gangrene wounds at Efarina Berastagi Hospital. The method used was a descriptive approach with a structured exercise program including range of motion exercises, muscle strengthening, and circulation exercises. The results showed that patients who regularly performed exercise therapy experienced improvement in tissue condition, reduction in edema, and increased functional ability. In addition, the risk of amputation could be reduced through improved tissue perfusion and better infection control. Therefore, exercise therapy can be an important component in the comprehensive management of patients with gangrene wounds

Abstract

Decreased dynamic balance in the elderly is a major factor that increases the risk of falls and reduces quality of life. Preventive efforts through safe and structured physical exercise are needed, one of which is traditional Tai Chi exercise therapy. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of the elderly in maintaining dynamic balance through Tai Chi exercises in Pematangsiantar. The methods used included socialization, Tai Chi movement training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results showed an improvement in the elderly’s understanding of the importance of balance as well as their ability to independently perform Tai Chi movements. In addition, there was an improvement in body balance, increased confidence in movement, and a reduced risk of falls. Therefore, Tai Chi can be an effective and safe alternative exercise to improve dynamic balance in the elderly sustainably
