Abstract

Academic resilience and academic stress aim to maintain individual stability in dealing with all academic pressures by building resilience. The method used in this study is quantitative correlational. This study was located at Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya using the Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30) scale developed by Cassidy (2016) and the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescent (ESSA) scale Sun (2011). Using a non-probability sampling technique. The focus of the study was taken on respondents according to the characteristics in the study. Respondents in the study were 139 out of 140 populations. The results of the analysis using the correlational hypothesis test r = -508 with a significance of 0.000 with these results can be stated that there is a fairly strong relationship, or in other words Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Meaning that the higher the level of academic resilience possessed by final semester students, the lower the students' academic stress.

Abstract

Speed ​​is one of the important aspects of physical condition in athletics, especially those involving fast movements such as soccer. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Small Side Games training method in increasing speed in soccer players aged 17-18 years. The research method used is an experimental design with a pre-experimental approach (pre-test, post-test design), where speed measurements were taken before and after treatment. The subjects of the study consisted of 30 Persib Bandung Academy athletes who participated in training for 5 weeks with a total of 15 meetings. Training was given three times a week with the application of the progressive overload principle, namely increasing training volume through training duration. The results of the study showed that the application of Small Side Games training did not provide significant changes in increasing speed in soccer athletes aged 17-18 years. This finding provides an illustration that this training method may need further adjustment to increase its effectiveness in increasing speed.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of training with interval, pyramid, and mix methods in small sided game (SSG) on increasing 30-meter speed. This study uses a quantitative design with a pre-test and post-test approach to compare the three training methods. The research sample consisted of 30 male soccer athletes aged 17 to 18 years from the Persib Bandung Academy who followed a 6-week training program. Sampling was carried out using a simple random sampling technique. The data collected were analyzed using parametric statistics, after passing the normality, homogeneity, and paired sample t-test tests by showing results that met the requirements. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the interval, pyramid, and mix training groups in increasing 30-meter running speed.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between maximum strength with jump height and spike accuracy in volleyball. Maximum strength is measured using the 1 Maximum Repetition (1 RM) method, while jump height is measured by the vertical jump test, and spike accuracy is measured through the volleyball spike accuracy test. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design, involving 12 samples from the core team of the Indonesian Education University volleyball UKM who have met certain criteria. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant relationship between maximum strength and jump height, but there is no significant relationship between maximum strength and spike accuracy. Simultaneous tests show that maximum strength is significantly related to jump height and spike accuracy simultaneously.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the use of Swishmax software through the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach has an effect on students' interest in learning mathematics. This study uses an experimental method in a quantitative approach. The population in this study was grade XI students, with samples selected using the random sampling method. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques include calculating the average score, standard deviation, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test. The analysis prerequisite test was carried out through the Liliefors normality test, then continued with the F homogeneity test. For hypothesis analysis, the t-test (Independent t-Test) was used through a significance level of 5%. The results of the study show that if the t-count value is 2.62019, the t-table value at a significance level of 5% at df = 62 is 1.6698. From these data, t_count> t_table was obtained so that it can be concluded that there is an impact of using Swishmax Software through the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach on students' interest in learning Mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to implement gamification-based learning media as a strategy to increase learning motivation of class V.a students of MI NU Metro. Gamification that includes the implementation of game components that include points, levels, badges, and leaderboards can offer a fun and challenging learning experience for students. By using an experimental research style, this study uses quantitative techniques. This type of research randomly places participants into one of two groups: a control group and an experimental group. We study and identify the problems faced in implementing gamification media and its usefulness in increasing student learning motivation. Based on the results of this study, gamification media can increase students' enthusiasm for learning. Interactive media in the form of quiz games from (canva) is the most successful and significant gamification learning media in increasing learning motivation. Several challenges in its implementation, identified such as differences in technology access and the need for curriculum adaptation, this article recommends solutions such as teacher training and student involvement in gamification media. With the right strategy, gamification media has the potential to create a dynamic and student-centered learning atmosphere, thereby helping them achieve their maximum potential in education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of anxiety on the results of the futsal referee fitness test. Anxiety is a mental factor that can affect physical performance, especially in situations that require accuracy and fast reactions. The method used is quantitative by giving questionnaires to participants before the fitness test consisting of several types of tests, including the sprint test, Coda test, and Ariet test. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between anxiety and the sprint test results (p = 0.052), indicating that anxiety did not directly affect the referee's sprint speed ability. However, there was a significant relationship with a positive direction between anxiety and the Coda test (p = 0.002, r = 0.431), meaning that the higher the level of anxiety, the more it affected the referee's performance in the agility test. Meanwhile, there was no significant relationship between anxiety and the Ariet test (p = 0.120), indicating that anxiety did not affect the referee's physical endurance. In conclusion, mental aspects, especially anxiety, can have an impact on the physical performance of futsal referees, especially in terms of agility. Therefore, in referee training, it is important to pay attention to anxiety management and mental readiness so that referees can perform optimally in leading the match.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between maximum strength and jump height and agility of badminton athletes. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach method with a correlational type. The sample in this study was the UPI Badminton UKM consisting of 12 athletes. The instruments used in this study were (1) Maximum strength test (maximum repetition), (2) Jump height test (Vertical jump), (3) Agility test (Shuttle run). Based on the Pearson correlation analysis, the results showed that maximum repetition had a significant positive relationship with vertical jump with a value of (r = 0.584, p = 0.065). Likewise, maximum repetition had a significant positive relationship with agility with a value of (p = -0.216, P = 0.501). However, the results of the regression analysis showed that these variables did not have a significant relationship with jump height and agility of badminton athletes. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that maximum strength training can help increase the jump height of badminton athletes. However, to improve agility, a more specific training strategy is needed that focuses on aspects other than maximal strength.

Abstract

This research is a development research (R&D) that aims to develop Crossword Puzzle learning media in the subject of Science on the material about the characteristics of living things in order to improve student learning outcomes. The model used in this study is the 4D model consisting of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Development and Disseminate. At the develop stage, the researcher validated the media expert and material expert. The subjects of this study were 24 students in class III D in a trial at MI NU Metro Lampung. The results of the study showed the results of media expert validation of 82%, material expert validation of 84% with the criteria "Very valid". The percentage of validity in the student response questionnaire was 88% in a large-scale trial with the category "Very good". Based on the development research conducted on the Crossword Puzzle media to improve student learning outcomes covering 3 domains. This study shows a significant increase in these three aspects where students are more motivated and active in learning, gain a better understanding of the learning material and are able to develop skills relevant to the topics being studied. It can be concluded that the Crossword Puzzle media can improve learning outcomes in the classroom learning process.

Abstract

This paper explores the embracing of e-learning in Zimbabwe's science teacher capacity development programmes, probing the opportunities and challenges. The discussion in this paper grounded in a systematic literature review to provide a holistic view through the use of the PRISMA 2020 checklist ensured transparency and consistency in selecting the 64 sources from databases (DOAJ, DHTE, IBSS, Scielo SA, Scopus and WoS). This provides a comprehensive interrogation of the issue at the centre of discussion. The paper highlights e-learning and how to embrace it in science teacher capacity development. In addition, it outlines approaches used to embrace e-learning in science teacher capacity development. This creates the need to look at how e-learning can enhance accessibility, reduce costs, and improve science teacher capacity development outcomes. However, substantial challenges such as limited access to the internet connection, scarce technological set-up and resistance to transformation from both science teachers were acknowledged. In conclusion, by embracing e-learning in Zimbabwe's science teacher capacity development programmes it creates a platform for promoting education and training. It can be recommended that the stakeholders involved in science teacher capacity development programmes need to establish a strong collaboration such that they can address the identified challenges. Therefore, the use of the right approaches to embracing e-learning in science teacher capacity development programmes can be a game changer in science learning activities.
