Abstract

This research aims to analyze the existence of students' mathematical reflective thinking abilities after using the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) learning model at SMP Negeri 7 Langsa. And another aim is to show that students' mathematical reflective thinking abilities in the experimental class after experiencing learning using the connected mathematics project (CMP) model are better than those in the control class after experiencing the conventional learning model. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasy experimental design type of research, pretest posttest control group design. The population in this study were all class VIII students at SMP Negeri 7 Langsa, and the sample consisted of classes VIII-1 and VIII-3 each with 21 students. Data collection was carried out using a descriptive question test instrument to measure students' mathematical reflective thinking abilities on two-variable linear equation systems. The research results show: (1) hypothesis testing using the paired sample t test, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the reflective thinking abilities of students at SMP Negeri 7 Langsa after experiencing learning with the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) model. (2) The increase in mathematical reflective thinking skills in the experimental class after experiencing learning with the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) model was better than the control class after experiencing the conventional learning model. Researchers hope that the results of this research can be used as consideration and input for teachers in using the connected mathematics project (CMP) learning model to improve students' reflective thinking abilities.

Abstract

Mathematics learning outcomes are one indicator of the effectiveness of mathematics learning. High mathematics learning outcomes indicate that the mathematics learning process is effective. The aim of this research is to find out that the learning outcomes of students taught using Cabri 3D software are better than the learning outcomes of students taught without using Cabri 3D software in class VIII_SMPN3 Langsa. This study uses a quantitative approach. The type of research used is true experimental design with Posttest Only Control Design. The population in this research is all students in class VIII of SMPN_3 Langsa for the 2023/2024 academic year, consisting of 11 classes with a total of 367 students. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. So,the samples obtained in this research were class VIII-1 students with a total of 30 students and class VIII-2 students with a total of 30 students.The test used in this research is the description test. Based on the research results,the researcher tested the hypothesis in 2 ways,namely the manual method and using SPSS.The results obtained manually were the t_count value=6.688 and the t_table value=1.672 so that the t_count>t_tabel value=6.688>1.672. Then the data obtained from the Independent Sample_T-Test showed that the significant value(2-tailed sig)was 0.000. This value is smaller than 0.05(sig 0.000<0.05),so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So,it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students taught using Cabri 3D software are better than the learning outcomes of students taught without using Cabri 3D software in class VIII SMPN_3 Langsa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes based on logical-mathematical intelligence through the quantum teaching model in MTs Swasta Al-Huda Pangkalan Susu students. The type of research used in this study is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all VII grade students of MTs Swasta Al-Huda Pangkalan Susu consisting of three classes, namely VII-1 to VII-3, totaling 95 students. The sample used was all students of class VII-2 as many as 32 students. The instruments used were written tests and observation sheets. Based on the results of student research data using the wilcoxon test because the data is not normally distributed. Statistical results that have been carried out obtain an asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) value of 0,000. Therefore, 0,000 < 0,05 H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it is concluded that there is an increase in mathematics learning outcomes based on logical-mathematical intelligence after experiencing learning by using the quantum teaching model at MTs Swasta Al-Huda Pangkalan Susu on set operation material.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis merupakan kemampuan berpikir dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis yang melibatkan pengetahuan matematika, penalaran matematika, dan pembuktian matematika. Model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam upaya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah model pembelajaran berbasis kasus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kelas eksperimen setelah diterapkan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis kasus lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dan jenis desain yang digunakan ialah The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Padang Tualang tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yaitu 6 kelas dengan jumlah keseluruhan yaitu 214 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam menggunakan Purpossive Sampling. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-2 dengan jumlah 36 siswa dan siswa kelas X-3 dengan jumlah 36 siswa. Hasil yang diperoleh Pada uji Independent Sample T Test dengan menggunakan IBM SPSS Statistic 25 data N-Gain, sehingga nilai sig (2- tailed) yaitu 0,000. Disebabkan uji yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah uji satu pihak (uji pihak kanan), maka nilai P-value. Diketahui bahwa 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak. dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 maka H0 ditolak H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat diambil kesimpulan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis pada kelas setelah mengalami pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis kasus lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol setelah mengalami pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional.
