Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of students' mathematical understanding of Statistics learning taught through a Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model assisted by Microsoft Excel at SMK Brigjend Katamso 2 Medan. The samples in this study were students of class XII AK1 as an experimental class and XII AK2 as a control class. The instrument used in this study is a mathematical understanding ability test. The results showed that the average mathematical understanding ability of experimental class students was 90.82 and 77.34 for the control class. The average experimental class pre-test results were 75.00 and 75.62 for the control class. While the average post test results of the experimental class were 90.82 and 77.34 for the control class. Based on the results of the t test conducted, it can be seen that the value of sig.0.000 < 0.05, thus it can be concluded that there was a significant increase in mathematical understanding ability in students of SMK Brigjend Katamso 2 Medan before the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model assisted by Microsoft Excel in Statistics material.

Abstract

Learning independence is something that plays a very important role in improving student learning outcomes, so that both educators and other parties must pay attention to the learning independence possessed by students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of student learning independence on learning outcomes in online learning. The method used in this research is SLR (Systematic Literature Review). In this study identification, assessment, and description of the results of the research will be carried out. In this study the researcher will review and systematically identify articles/journals which at each stage are in accordance with what has been determined. Data was collected through documenting journals obtained in literature studies. The number of journals reviewed by researchers is 10 accredited national journals related to the chosen theme, sourced from Google Scholar and Mendeley. These journals are selected based on certain criteria to obtain relevant data. These criteria include (1) there is the name of the author, (2) there is a research title, and (3) Relevant. Based on the literature review that has been done, that student learning independence has an important role in improving learning outcomes, especially in today's online learning. Learning independence has a positive influence on student learning outcomes in online learning.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively mathematically is very important for students to face various educational challenges which are of course different, but in reality students' ability to think creatively mathematically is still relatively low. This study aims to determine the existence of an increase in students' mathematical creative thinking skills through the implementation of an open ended learning approach with the help of the geogebra classroom at SMA Negeri 2 Langsa. This study used a quantitative method with the research design used, namely the One group pre-test and post-test design. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Langsa, the sample in this study were students of class XI IPA 2 with a total of 27 students. The instrument used is a test of mathematical creative thinking ability. The test results were then analyzed using the Paired Samples T-Test. Based on the results of the analysis, the tcount value is 30.02 and the ttable value = 1.705, this means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' mathematical creative thinking skills through the implementation of an open ended learning approach with the help of the Geogebra classroom at SMA Negeri 2 Langsa.

Abstract

Problem solving ability is a main goal in learning mathematics. Problem solving in mathematics learning must be developed, in the learning process students need to be accustomed to solving problems, both mathematical problems and everyday problems. In reality, students' mathematical problem-solving abilities are still relatively low, so a learning model is needed that can improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, namely the Problem Based Instruction learning model. The aim of the research is to determine the improvement in the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students at SMP Negeri 12 Langsa after experiencing mathematics learning by applying the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning model to spatial building material. This study uses a quantitative approach. The type of research used was pre-experimental design type one group pretest-posttest. The research population is all students in class VII of SMP Negeri 12 Langsa for the 2022/2023 academic year consisting of 2 classes with a total of 57 students. The sampling technique uses random sampling. The sample for this research was class VII-1 students with a total of 28 students. The research results obtained: dk=27 with a value of ttable = 2.052 and tcount = 56, the results obtained were tcount > ttable (14.55 > 2.052) with a significance level of 5% so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, it can be concluded that there was an increase in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities at SMP Negeri 12 Langsa after implementing the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning model.

Abstract

The aim of this study were to know (1) improved the abilities of students' mathematical communication who are taught by cooperative learning type STAD and who are taught by direct instruction and (2) interaction between student's mathematical initial abilities and learning models to improvement the abilities of students' mathematical communication. The type of research used in this study was quasi experimental with design of non-equivalent control group. The population in this study consisted of all students of grade VII SMP Ar-Rahman Percut amounting to 150 students, while the sample consisted of 30 students in class VII-B and 30 students in class VII-C. The research instruments used in this study were test of mathematical initial ability, pretest and posttest of mathematical communication ability, as well pretest and posttest of mathematical problem solving ability. Statistical hypothesis testing in this study using formula of ANOVA Two Way. The results showed that (1) improved the abilities of students' mathematical communication who are taught by cooperative learning type STAD higher than who are taught by direct instruction and (2) there was no interaction between student's mathematical initial abilities and learning models to improvement the abilities of students' mathematical communication.

Abstract

This study to analyze the improvement of students' Mathematics problem solving ability through the DMR (Discursus Multy Reprecentacy) model at SMP Negeri 1 Langsa. The type of research approach is quantitative with Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The population in this study was all grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Langsa consisting of eleven classes with 429 students. The sample used was all students of class VIII B and VIII C as many 62 students. The instruments used are written tests and observation sheets. After the normality test was carried out in the control class, the calculate result was 0.1219 and the experimental class obtained the Lcalculate result of 0.1529 with the Ltabel value was 0.1559 so that ????ℎ???????????????????? < ???????????????????????? then H0 is accepted which means that the frequency distribution of the tested data is normal. Then homogeneity tests were carried out on the two classes and obtained results ????ℎ???????????????????? = 1,8285 and ???????????????????????? = 1,88 retrievied 1,83 < 1,88 because ????ℎ???????????????????? < ???????????????????????? then H0 is accepted and then it is concluded that the two data are homogeneous. Based on the results of the research hypothesis with value and , thereby with a significant level of 5%, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' Mathematics problem solving ability through the DMR (Discursus Multy Reprecentacy) model.

Abstract

Culture is a way of life that is developed and shared by a group of people and inherited from generation to generation. Culture is formed from various complex elements, including belief systems, norms, values, customs, and languange. Ethnomathematics also plays an important role in exploring noble values in the culture of the community. This study has the aim of the researcher being to describe and document the results of the ethnomathematical exploration of the geometric concept of the Taslulu Nabesleu Koafnolo traditional house building. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. There are several geometric concepts in the design of the Taslulu Nabesleu Koafnolo traditional house, namely the concept of flat wake, the concept of building a flat side space, the concept of the relationship between lines, the concept of angles, and geometric transformations. The results of the study are expected to help teachers explain mathematical concepts as well as introduce the culture of the Taslulu Nabesleu Koafnolo Traditional House.

Abstract

The background of this research is to examine the existence of unity and adjustments to the concept of fractions in the science of Faraidh which was developed based on the arguments of the Al-Qur'an. The aim of this research is to integrate the concept of fractions through the actualization of the Al-Qur'an in Faraidh Science. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The type of research is in the form of literature study. The subjects in this research are Fractions and Faraidh Science, while the object in this research is the Al-Qur'an. Data collection in this research was through documentation literature study. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data display and conclusions. Based on the research results, it was found that in the Al-Qur'an there are several verses that explain the science of Faraidh, namely in two verses listed in Surah An-Nisa, which are also related to the concept of Fractions. So based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that it is clear that there is unity and adjustment to the concept of fractions in Faraidh Science which is based on the arguments of the Al-Qur'an. Therefore, with this proposition, Faraidh Science can be completed using the Concept of Fractions, this is in accordance with the integration in the Actualization of the Qur'an.

Abstract

media, one of the learning media is audio-visual media or video animation. The study aims to develop animated videos for learning mathematics about sequences and series using Animaker and to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the animation videos developed. This research method is Research and Development (R & D) with development models ADDIE that is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The result of the study were in the the form of developing an animated video for learning mathematics using Animaker for student in class XI MAN 1 Langsa with an average validity test from media experts and material experts of 87.415% with very good criteria, practicality test results obtained an average of small-scale class trials and large-scale classes of 95.335% with very good criteria, the results of the effectiveness test in the form of pretest and posttest showed that the N-gain test results for the experimental class were 0.78 in the high category, while the N-gain test results for the control class were 0.33 n the medium category. This shows that video animation using Animaker is effective used in the learning process in class.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: “Untuk meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas IV-A SD Negeri Tangsi Lama Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 Pada Materi FPB dan KPK Melalui Penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw”. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan (action research) sebanyak dua siklus. Setiap putaran terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: rancangan, kegiatan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas IV-A SD Negeri Tangsi Lama Kecamatan Seruway Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Data yang diperoleh berupa hasil tes Formatif, lembar observasi kegiatan belajar mengajar. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah : (1)“Melalui Penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw dapat Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Materi FPB dan KPK di Kelas IV-A SD Negeri Tangsi Lama Tahun 2016/2017.” (2) Hal tersebut diperoleh nilai rata-rata partisipasi aktif siswa pada siklus I pertemuan pertama sebesar 60 sedangkan pada siklus I pertemuan kedua nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 70, dan pada siklus II pertemuan pertama nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 75, sedangkan pada siklus II pertemuan kedua nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 85. Persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa pada siklus I pertemuan pertama sebesar 62%, siklus I pertemuan kedua sebesar 73%, dan pada siklus II pertemuan pertama persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 81%, persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa pada siklus II pertemuan kedua sebesar 92%.
