This research was motivated by the decline in students’ interest in batik learning. Batik lessons were generally delivered through conventional teaching methods, supported by limited learning time and very restricted teaching materials, which caused students to be less enthusiastic about participating in classroom activities. To address this problem, teachers introduced flipbook-based learning media as an innovation to create a more effective, efficient, and engaging learning process while supporting the achievement of learning objectives. The purpose of this study was to increase students’ learning motivation through the use of flipbook learning media in batik lessons. This study employed a descriptive quantitative research method involving a sample of 26 students. Data were collected to measure changes in students’ motivation after the implementation of the flipbook media. The findings showed that the use of flipbooks successfully increased students’ learning motivation by 81%, which was categorized as very high. The results indicate that flipbook media can provide a more attractive and interactive learning experience, help students understand batik learning materials more easily, and encourage greater participation during the learning process. Therefore, flipbook learning media can be considered an effective alternative for improving student motivation and supporting more meaningful batik learning in classroom activities.

This community service program aims to increase student learning motivation through the implementation of a reward system in a combined class of fifth and sixth grade students at SD N 5 Rendang. This activity was carried out through collaboration between teachers and students of the Community Service Program (KKN) in Rendang Village. The approach used was descriptive qualitative through direct observation and reflection on student learning behavior during the learning process. Before the program was implemented, students showed a passive attitude and did not dare to ask questions and express opinions. After the implementation of the reward system, there was a significant increase, from initially only about 3 active students to about 12 people, out of a total of 17 students in two grade levels. After the program implementation, students became more enthusiastic, confident, and willing to participate in the learning process, and a healthy competitive atmosphere emerged between the two grade levels. Teachers, especially homeroom teachers, found that learning activities became more dynamic and enjoyable, while students themselves gained valuable experience in classroom management and improved communication skills with students. The results of this activity indicate that collaborative learning combined with a reward system can effectively increase learning motivation and encourage active student participation in the context of a combined class. Overall, this program has had a positive impact on teachers, students and KKN students in creating a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience.

This article examines the implementation of the Mnemonic technique as a strategy to improve Arabic vocabulary mastery among eighth-grade students at SMPIT Makassar Islamic School. This article specifically aims to identify the planning of the Mnemonic technique implementation, describe the vocabulary learning process using the Mnemonic technique, and analyze the results of its application in improving students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery. Employing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, this article was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages, with data collected through observations of teacher and student activities and vocabulary tests administered at the end of each cycle. The results show that the planning of the Mnemonic technique was systematically designed and implemented in line with learning objectives, while the learning process became more active and engaging as indicated by increased student participation. Furthermore, the application of the Mnemonic technique improved students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery, as reflected in the increase of the average score from 84.94% in Cycle I, with 8 out of 17 students not meeting the Minimum Mastery Criterion (MMC), to 88.41% in Cycle II, in which all students met the criterion. In line with these results, teacher and student activity levels also improved from the “fair” category in Cycle I to the “good” category in Cycle II, confirming that the Mnemonic technique is effective in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery among eighth-grade students at SMPIT Makassar Islamic School.
