FOCUS AND SCOPE Enggang adalah jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Enggang dipilih sebagai nama jurnal ini karena kehidupan masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah tidak jauh dari alam, termasuk kedekatannya pada burung yang bernama enggang. Burung enggang merupakan simbol kebesaran dan kemuliaan suku Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. Burung enggang juga melambangkan perdamaian dan persatuan, sayapnya yang tebal melambangkan pemimpin yang selalu melindungi rakyatnya. Ekor panjangnya dianggap sebagai tanda kemakmuran rakyat suku Dayak. Kaitannya dengan jurnal ini, tidak lain adalah mengambil makna filosofis kebesaran burung enggang agar jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya ini, nantinya menjadi besar yang akan dikenal secara lokal, nasional, dan internasional. Jurnal Enggang sebagai jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya merupakan salah satu wadah untuk mengumpulkan dan melestarikan kekayaan kita yang tidak ternilai harganya. Tentunya kekayaan yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Jurnal ini hadir untuk siapa saja yang mencintai dan ingin berkarya di bidang pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Selain itu, kami sebagai pengurus jurnal ini bersedia memberikan bimbingan dan pelatihan untuk siapa saja yang ingin maju dan berkompeten dalam hal menulis karya fiksi maupun nonfiksi. Melalui bimbingan dan pelatihan pasti gairah menulis para calon pendidik, para pendidik, dan para pecinta pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya bangkit dengan semangat membara. <![CDATA[This article discusses the influence of science and technology on the development of PAI curriculum. The urgency of the study of the impact of Science and Technology on PAI Curriculum development is to know and understanding that the evolution of curricula is heavily influenced by science and technology. This study uses the library research method, which uses reference sources such as books and articles in search of data sources. The results of the study conclude that among the factors that form the basis or even influence the development of curricula are science and technology. The development of curricula in education should have the ability to anticipate the impact of the era of globalization, which sends society without the basis of science, and in it there are IPTEK that become the main drivers in the change of systems much better. Plus, the fact that the world is facing the era of Industry 4.0. Besides, science and technology are so much needed for learning skills in the 21st century, especially in terms of information and communication technology literacy. <![CDATA[This study examines the implementation of the Guided Discovery Learning method in Grammar lessons at the end of the implementation of the spiral curriculum with the aim of knowing that there are differences in mastery of concepts, writing skills and learning motivation between the Grade VI students who take part in the Guided Discovery Learning method and the students who take part in learning using the Guided Discovery Learning method. The research was conducted for 10 weeks at Charis Global School Lippo Cikarang. There were 36 students who took part in this research, 18 students from Steve Jobs class as the control group and 18 students from Elon Musk class as the experimental group. This research is a quasi-experimental research involving the experimental group and the control group. The research instruments used to collect the data were test questions, observation sheets and rubrics that had been tested for validity and reliability. The mean and n-gain values obtained were then tested to find the differences between the two classes through the t- test. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Guided Discovery Learning method has a significant impact on the students’ concept mastery, writing skills and learning motivations.]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses the challenges of preserving the Lampung script in an era of increasing modernization. As part of Indonesia's cultural heritage, the Lampung script faces the risk of losing its identity due to the influences of urbanization, migration, and the dominance of mass media. The younger generation tends to have minimal understanding of the Lampung script due to a lack of emphasis in formal education and lifestyle changes that focus more on technology. This study adopts a literature review method, gathering several sources to strengthen its research. Preservation efforts are carried out through introducing the Lampung script to the younger generation through formal and informal education, developing modern technology to facilitate learning, and integrating the Lampung script into local education curricula. Collaboration between the government, cultural institutions, education sector, and the community is necessary to preserve the Lampung script as an essential part of Lampung's cultural and linguistic identity. Further research is recommended to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed preservation efforts and gain a deeper understanding of the use and understanding of the Lampung script among the Lampung community.]]>

<![CDATA[Pancasila was born from the struggle of the nation’s founders, who are known as The Founding Fathers. However, in the era of increasingly widespread globalization, the noble values of Pancasila often face major challenges, especially among university students. Globalization brings rapid changes in technology, culture, communication, and lifestyle, which can influence students’ attitudes, behavior, and understanding of national identity. These changes can either strengthen or weaken the understanding of national values if not properly addressed. This study aims to analyze efforts that can be made to maintain the noble values of Pancasila from deviations in the era of globalization among students. This research uses a qualitative method, as explained by Creswell (1998), which is an approach to understanding social phenomena and human problems. In facing globalization, it is very important to maintain the noble values of Pancasila among students so that they continue to uphold morality, unity, justice, tolerance, and responsibility. Several efforts that can be made to strengthen these values include education, wise use of technology, and increasing social awareness in daily life as part of national character building.]]>

<![CDATA[Overthinking is a state where a person thinks about something excessively or spends a lot of time thinking and analyzing something. Overthinking has been known for a long time, but the term "overthinking" has only recently emerged and is being recognized by the public, especially among adolescents. Overthinking is not a mental health disorder, but it is one of the triggers for mental disorders. Overthinking that is continuously experienced by a person will result in various impacts, one of which is anxiety. Previous research states that many of today's Indonesian adolescents aged 16-24 years are prone to anxiety disorders. Another impact of overthinking can cause stress or mild or severe psychological disorders. So that an appropriate media is needed and can be used as a medium for adolescent education, especially for late adolescents aged 18-22 years, which has an impact during the transition from childhood to adulthood, where adolescents have emotions that are still unstable and easily influenced by their surroundings so that they are prone to overthinking. The use of primary and secondary data through qualitative data analysis is used as a reference and support for the design of this book. And with the creation of educational media in the form of illustrated books about the risks of overthinking, it is hoped that it can be an easy educational media to raise awareness of the impact of overthinking that has a negative impact on physical and mental health.]]>

<![CDATA[Health is something greatly desired by everyone. In today's modern society, the lifestyle adopted tends to favor instant gratification because it's considered more practical, leading to a sense of laziness. This causes health issues, one of the urgent issues nowadays being obesity in children. The biggest cause of obesity in children is poor eating behavior and lack of physical activity practiced by parents, especially millennials. Therefore, this video motion is created to develop a storyboard used as a reference for educational motion graphics to motivate millennial parents to implement a healthy lifestyle for their children to prevent early obesity. The method used in this research is quantitative and qualitative with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data obtained is then developed to form a script that will be used as a reference in creating the storyboard. The result of the storyboard design will contain information on understanding obesity, factors supporting obesity in children, impacts, and prevention methods with practical guidance that can be directly applied in daily life through thumbnail, rough pass, and clean up stages. The storyboard design used as a reference for the educational motion graphic video is hopefully able to provide knowledge and information to millennial parents to care about their children's lifestyle to prevent early obesity.]]>

<![CDATA[Acid reflux disease is one of the most common diseases experienced by the public, especially in adolescents. The causes of this disease are generally due to psychological conditions, diet, sleep patterns, lifestyle and bacterial infections. However, the high number of cases of this disease is not accompanied by awareness and knowledge of the dangers and changes in a better lifestyle. In order to attract interest in knowing about acid reflux disease and invite to change a better lifestyle, education given in another and interesting form is an option. That's why the design of Instagram comic strips with the aim of education about stomach acid disease is carried out. In a comic, character is an important element needed so that the story and message delivery can be done effectively. This design uses descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative research methods to analyze data from interviews, questionnaires and literature. The stage is then continued by making design concepts and design results. From this design, it is hoped that the community, especially teenagers, can be more aware and more effective in conveying messages.]]>

<![CDATA[The introduction and care of teeth and mouth from an early age is very important to do because there are still many children with a high frequency of cavities and a low level of handling. Parents play an important role in guiding, understanding, reminding, and creating conditions that are conducive for children to maintain good oral health. So, it is necessary to have educational media for parents, especially mothers, in the form of guidebooks that discuss the importance of maintaining children's oral health. However, interest in reading is still very low. Because there are still many books whose material is delivered by writing only. That is what causes readers to get tired and bored quickly. Therefore, a character design is needed that functions as a decoration to support the message to be conveyed so that it is interesting to read. The data collection technique used is by conducting interviews, questionnaires, observation, and literacy. And using descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques and TOWS Matrix. The main characters in this design are pediatric dentists and mouth doctors, made so that readers feel like they are talking or listening to information from dentists and mouth doctors directly. In addition to the main character, there are supporting characters, namely mothers and children under five years of age.]]>

<![CDATA[The belief in myths today remains deeply embedded in the lives of Indonesian people, as shown by mystical stories that continue to be accepted, retold, and believed within society. One indication that mystical matters still have cultural relevance can be found in the literary work of the novel Egyptian Magic in Java by the Tale of the Land of Java team. The novel narrates the influence of magic believed to have been brought from Egypt to the East Indies and presents mystical experiences within a recognizable social and historical setting. This research aims to reveal the level and form of magic represented in the novel by applying the concept of magical realism proposed by Wendy B. Faris. The study focuses on how magical elements are integrated into realistic narration without eliminating the cultural meanings attached to them. To obtain research data, this study uses library research techniques through careful reading, identification, and classification of relevant textual data. The results of this research are expected to describe findings related to the five dimensions of magical realism, namely the irreducible magical elements, the phenomenal world, unsettling doubts, merging realism, and the disruption of time, space, and identity in the novel.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was conducted because of the findings that show that students still lack the ability to solve problems, which can be seen from the tendency of students who are passive in answering questions from lecturers. The purpose of this research is to find out how the views or perspectives of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia regarding the application of problem-based learning methods in macroeconomics courses. The research was conducted using qualitative methods and interviews as a technique in collecting data. The results of this research show that students feel that their abilities are growing with the application of problem-based learning methods. For example, in personal abilities such as to improve problem solving skills and also in critical thinking. Then to improve interpersonal skills such as collaboration and interaction. In addition, there is an increase in the process of student reflection on a problem. Therefore, the problem-based learning method is very important to be applied and the support of educators is needed to streamline its application.]]>
