Abstract

The development of information technology has brought significant changes to modern office administration management. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Office Administration Information Systems as an effort to modernize management in improving efficiency and service quality. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach in an office organization. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with employees directly involved in using the system, observations of administrative processes, and documentation related to system implementation. The research results show that the implementation of Office Administration Information Systems has proven to significantly improve time efficiency and data accuracy. This system facilitates employees in performing administrative tasks such as archive management, processing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and report preparation. Manual processes that previously took a long time can be replaced with faster and more structured automated processes. However, this implementation also faces several challenges, particularly regarding employee training needs and the adaptation process to technological changes. This study concludes that Office Administration Information Systems represent a strategic step in office management modernization that provides significant benefits in the form of improved operational efficiency and reduced human error in administrative processes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the transformation of education within farming communities and how an education curriculum can be developed to support the empowerment of farmers in the modern era. In the context of agriculture, which is constantly evolving, the importance of relevant and sustainable education is essential for improving farmers' welfare. Using a qualitative approach, this research analyzes the challenges, needs, and potential within farming communities in facing social and economic changes. The main focus of this study is to identify key elements in the curriculum that can empower farmers to adopt environmentally-friendly agricultural technologies, enhance entrepreneurial skills, and strengthen their social capacities to build self-reliant communities. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the development of agricultural education policies that are more aligned with the real needs on the ground and strengthen food security at the community level.

Abstract

This qualitative phenomenological study explores students' understanding of online learning in Indonesian secondary education during COVID-19. Using purposive sampling, 18 grade 11 students from three high schools in West Java participated through 60-90 minute semi-structured interviews. Thematic analysis revealed five major themes: (1) sudden transition as pedagogical disruption; (2) redefinition of presence in digital spaces; (3) learner autonomy as new demand; (4) access inequality as determinant; and (5) meaning construction through contextual negotiation. Findings indicate students actively construct understanding through complex negotiations between expectations, material realities, and social interactions. The study identified significant paradoxes including presence paradox and autonomy paradox. Trustworthiness was ensured through triangulation, member checking, and reflexive journaling.

Abstract

Technological developments have brought new innovations in Islamic da'wah through Instagram social media. This research aims to analyze the elements and principles of visual communication design and da'wah communication models on the Instagram account @dailymuslimahindonesia. Da'wah that previously relied on conventional methods has now transformed by utilizing attractive visual design to convey Islamic messages to the younger generation. The research uses descriptive qualitative methods with content analysis techniques to examine visual content and communication models applied. Primary data was obtained through observation of Instagram posts and interviews with the account founder, while secondary data came from literature studies and documentation. Analysis was conducted based on visual communication design theory and Harold Lasswell's communication model. The results show that @dailymuslimahindonesia posts have fulfilled the elements of visual communication design including typography, lines, colors, textures, light-dark contrast, size, and form, as well as the principles of balance, emphasis, rhythm, and unity. This account has also implemented the five elements of Lasswell's communication model completely: who (Daily Muslimah Indonesia as communicator), says what (da'wah messages based on Quran, hadith, self-reminders, and sunnah fasting calendar), in which channel (Instagram platform), to whom (88 thousand followers from various backgrounds), and with what effect (positive feedback in the form of hijrah motivation and religious discussions). The research concludes that the combination of visual communication design with Islamic da'wah messages can be an effective medium for spreading religious values in the digital era, particularly in reaching the younger generation through attractive and easily understood visual content.

Abstract

The mosque announcement is an important communication instrument to remind worshippers about worship activities and mosque regulations. This study aims to identify the influence of the use of words reprimand and invitation in mosque announcements on the perception and behavior of worshippers, as well as to prepare recommendations for mosque administrators in choosing more effective words. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study design in Mosque X, involving 6 mosque administrators and 12 worshippers as participants. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and analysis of announcement documents, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that announcements with an invitation approach were more effective than reprimands in increasing congregational participation, with an average attendance rate of 35 percent higher. Invitational announcements generate positive perceptions in all pilgrims and arouse stronger intrinsic motivation, while reprimands cause feelings of discomfort in 75 percent of pilgrims. This study concludes that an inclusive, positive, and harmonious approach to invitation that is in harmony with theological and cultural values is more optimal in achieving the goal of mosque communication. Research recommends the use of the call-to-action approach as the primary strategy, with reprimands only used in situations that require assertiveness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran dalam bidang Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dengan fokus pada aspek Aqidah-Akhlak, Al-Quran Hadits, Fiqh, Bahasa Arab, dan Studi Kebudayaan Islam (SKI). Melalui metode kajian pustaka, penelitian ini menganalisis 9 buku dan 8 jurnal terakreditasi untuk mendapatkan wawasan yang mendalam mengenai model-model pembelajaran yang tepat dalam konteks PAI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya berbagai bentuk model pembelajaran memungkinkan guru PAI untuk berinovasi dan menciptakan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik peserta didik. Penelitian ini memberi kontribusi penting dalam memahami beragam pendekatan pembelajaran dalam bidang PAI, membantu guru memilih model pembelajaran yang efektif dan relevan dengan tujuan pembelajaran PAI.

Abstract

Religious lectures are the main method of transferring Islamic knowledge in mosques, but their effectiveness is often hampered by long duration, material complexity, and limited capacity of worshippers. This study aims to analyze the effect of providing summaries of lecture material on congregational understanding, identify differences in congregational perceptions of lectures with and without summaries, and compile recommendations to improve the quality of congregational understanding in Mosque X. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving 15 active worshippers and 7 mosque administrators as participants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that the provision of lecture material summaries made a significant contribution to three dimensions of understanding: improving conceptual understanding by providing an organized cognitive framework, strengthening the retention and ability to recall information in the long term, and encouraging the application of knowledge in daily life. Pilgrims reported higher levels of focus and engagement when lectures were summarized compared to no summary.

Abstract

The phenomenon of brain rot in students, characterized by a decline in focus, concentration, and memory due to excessive exposure to fast-paced content, has become an increasing challenge in modern education. Interactive technology is considered an effective solution to mitigate these negative effects. This article aims to explore the use of interactive technology in reducing the impact of brain rot on students. Through an approach based on the use of digital tools that support active learning, this paper identifies various technological strategies that can be applied to enhance cognitive engagement, such as game-based learning, virtual reality (VR)-based learning applications, and online collaborative platforms. The study also discusses the role of teachers and educational institutions in designing curricula that optimally integrate interactive technology to mitigate brain rot and improve the quality of learning. The expected outcomes from the application of interactive technology are enhanced cognitive abilities in students to cope with the demands of more complex learning and a reduction in memory decline caused by the disruption of fast-paced content.

Abstract

Emojis have become essential elements in digital communication as substitutes for paralinguistic cues absent in written text. However, emoji meanings are not universal and can differ across cultures, potentially causing misinterpretation in cross-cultural online interactions. This study aims to explain how emojis are used as emotional markers in cross-cultural online conversations, identify situations when emojis clarify communicative intentions, and explore conditions that trigger misunderstandings. The research employs a multi-case study design with a digital ethnography approach. Participants were purposively selected from two to three different cultural backgrounds who actively communicate through messaging platforms and social media. Data collection was conducted through consensual conversation recordings over one to two weeks, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and reflective notes regarding emoji usage contexts. Data analysis utilized thematic analysis and pragmatic discourse analysis to identify emoji functions across cultures and platforms. Research findings indicate that emojis function as face-work strategies that soften instructions, signal humorous intent, and provide emotional cushioning for criticism. Cultural differences influence emoji usage patterns, with harmony-emphasizing cultures tending to use gentle emojis for mitigation, while direct cultures use emojis as mood indicators without softening obligations. Misunderstandings emerge when politeness norms, relational contexts, and hierarchies are interpreted differently by senders and receivers. The study recommends establishing emoji usage norms within cross-cultural communities or work teams to reduce ambiguity and strengthen emoji functions as emotional bridges in online communication.

Abstract

Sustainable education plays a crucial role in creating a healthy learning environment, especially in the ever-evolving digital era. Brain rot, or the decline in cognitive abilities due to uncontrolled exposure to technology, has become one of the main challenges in modern education. The solution to sustainable education in this context focuses on balancing the use of technology with the enhancement of critical thinking and healthy learning habits. With a more humanistic approach and educational technology that fosters growth, sustainable education can effectively address brain rot. This study analyzes ways to integrate curricula that prioritize the development of students' emotional and social intelligence, while also recommending training programs for educators to better understand the negative impacts of digitalization on children's cognitive development. Ultimately, the proposed solution aims to create a generation that is more adaptive to the changing times without losing the depth and meaning of their learning.
