Abstract

Ministerial Regulation of Marine Affairs and Fisheries No. 7 of 2024 legalizes the export of lobster seeds (benur) under joint ventures, but its implementation has triggered unintended consequences, notably the escalation of smuggling practices. This situation highlights a gap between policy objectives (das sollen) and actual outcomes (das sein). Objective: This research aims to analyze potential threats of lobster seed smuggling using a forecasting approach and to provide long-term policy recommendations. Method: A mixed-method forecasting design was applied by combining historical trend analysis, the Delphi method, and scenario building. Data were collected from government reports, academic literature, and expert interviews. Validity was ensured through triangulation, while reliability was strengthened using expert consensus measured by Kendall’s W coefficient. Results: The findings show a doubling of smuggling activities between 2020 and 2024. Projections indicate that under the baseline scenario, smuggling will continue to rise steadily; under the tight enforcement scenario, growth slows significantly due to regulatory and enforcement improvements; while under the loose enforcement scenario, smuggling escalates sharply as a result of weak oversight and high global demand. Conclusion: Regulation No. 7/2024 may worsen smuggling if not supported by consistent law enforcement, interagency coordination, and demand management strategies. Recommendation: The government should integrate forecasting into policymaking, strengthen maritime surveillance, provide alternative livelihoods for coastal communities, and enhance regional cooperation to reduce global market pressures.

Abstract

The phenomenon of “brain rot,” or the decline in cognitive capacity caused by exposure to fast-paced content, has become a serious concern in education. With the rise of technology, particularly social media and short-form video applications, students are increasingly exposed to an endless stream of information delivered quickly and relentlessly. This exposure has been linked to a decline in attention span, concentration, and the ability to absorb information in the learning context. This article aims to systematically review the existing literature on the relationship between fast-paced content exposure and attention in educational settings. Based on an analysis of recent studies, this review shows a significant correlation between high consumption of short-form video content and reduced focus and cognitive abilities in students. The findings of this review are expected to provide insights for educators and policymakers in designing effective learning strategies and mitigating the negative impacts of attention-diverting content.

Abstract

This study explores teachers' experiences in implementing technology-based learning through an interpretive phenomenological approach with a constructivist paradigm. The research aims to deeply understand how teachers construct meaning and transform their pedagogical practices in the context of technology integration. The study was conducted in five senior high schools involving 12 teachers from various subject areas selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, participatory classroom observations, and analysis of teachers' reflective documents, then analyzed using six-phase thematic analysis. Research trustworthiness was maintained through data source triangulation, member checking, peer debriefing, and reflexive journaling. The findings identified five main themes representing the essence of teachers' experiences: (1) a journey of professional identity transformation involving fundamental reconstruction of teaching and learning, (2) negotiation of multi-layered barriers at individual, institutional, and socio-cultural levels through adaptive strategies, (3) reconstruction of pedagogical practices through reflective trial-and-error cycles, (4) complex emotional dynamics between enthusiasm and frustration affecting implementation persistence, and (5) formation of learning communities as survival strategies providing emotional support and practical knowledge. The findings indicate that technology implementation is not merely the adoption of digital tools but rather a socio-emotional-cognitive transformation process occurring within a complex ecosystem. The practical implications of this research emphasize the need for a shift in professional development policies from top-down approaches based on technical training toward bottom-up approaches responsive to teachers' actual needs, facilitating communities of practice, and providing adequate emotional support.

Abstract

Office administration is a managerial function that plays a strategic role in supporting the smooth operation of organizations. This study aims to analyze the role of office administration in improving work productivity and facilitating interdepartmental coordination, as well as identifying factors that support the effectiveness of office administration in enhancing organizational performance. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted descriptively with a focus on interpreting the meaning of the role of office administration in organizational life. The results show that neat and structured administration can simplify workflows, reduce task duplication, and accelerate decision-making processes, thereby directly impacting the productivity improvement of individuals and teams. Administration also functions as a formal communication medium that facilitates interdepartmental coordination through fast and accurate information distribution. Factors supporting the effectiveness of office administration include the quality of human resources, utilization of information technology, and good document management. The conclusion of this study is that office administration has a strategic role in creating work efficiency and building synergy between units so that organizational goals can be achieved optimally.

Abstract

The K-Pop phenomenon has changed the communication patterns between idols and fans through specialized social media platforms like Weverse. This study aims to analyze the communication patterns formed between fans and K-Pop idols through the Weverse platform. The study used a qualitative approach with a content analysis method to communication activities on Weverse for one month, including live streaming features, comment and reply systems, and Artist Posts. The results of the study showed that communication on Weverse has multidimensional characteristics that combine vertical interaction between idol-fans and horizontal interaction between fans. Live streaming generates informative, emotional-expressive, and performative responses with a systematic comment selection pattern. The platform manages to create the illusion of closeness through everyday content and direct greetings, but accessibility remains strategically controlled. The main findings confirm the transformation of parasocial relationships in the digital age into hybrid parasocial relationships that have real interactivity elements but remain asymmetrical. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the understanding of the evolution of mass communication towards a hybrid form of communication that combines elements of broadcasting, interpersonal communication, and community interaction in a digital ecosystem.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan membahas mengenai Cabang-cabang ilmu, sumber pengetahuan, dan kriteria kebenaran dalam filsafat ilmu. Artikel ditulis dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kajian pustaka. Data yang digunakan berupa sumber pustaka berupa buku dan artikel ilmiah dari jurnal. Sumber tersebut dibaca dan dipahami kemudian dipilih sumber mana yang dapat menjawab persoalan yang dibahas. Hasil yang didapat cabang-cabang ilmu filsafat terdiri dari ontologi, epistimologi, dan aksiologi. Sumber pengetahuan paling utama ialah rasionalisme dan empirisme. Selain itu sumber pengetahuan didapat dari Pengalaman indrawi atau sense experience, Penalaran atau reasoning, Otoritas atau authority Intuisi atau instuition, Wahyu atau revelation, Keyakinan atau faith. Sumber pengetahuan agama islam adalah al-Quran dan Sunnah. Teori kebenaran terdiri dari Korespondensi, Koherensi, dan Pragmatis. Teori kebenaran dalam ajaran islam ialah berasal dari Allah Swt yang disampaikan melalui al-Quran dan Sunnah.

Abstract

This study examines the relevance of the epistemology of Madilog (Materialism-Dialectics-Logic) by Tan Malaka in the context of critical education in contemporary Indonesia. Madilog, which emphasizes rational and scientific thinking based on dialectical materialism, offers a strong theoretical foundation for liberating individuals from dogmatic and mystical thinking. Through a qualitative descriptive approach and content analysis methodology, this research aims to explore how the principles of Madilog can be applied in education in Indonesia, particularly to foster critical consciousness among students. The findings indicate that Madilog can be integrated into critical education through the application of dialectical principles that encourage students to analyze and critique social injustices, while recognizing the potential for social change through collective action. However, its implementation faces challenges, including the dominance of cultural and religious values in Indonesia and limitations within the existing education curriculum. This study suggests the need for adapting Madilog to the local context and structural changes in the educational system to ensure the liberation and empowerment of students through critical education. Thus, Madilog offers significant contributions to the development of education that is more critical, rational, and aligned with social justice.

Abstract

The phenomenon of social media addiction has emerged as a critical issue demanding scholarly attention within the educational landscape of the 21st century. Amid the accelerating tide of digitalization, social media has evolved beyond a platform for interaction—it has become a cognitive arena that shapes thinking patterns, learning behaviors, and academic outcomes. This study presents a meta-analysis of 82 empirical studies published between 2015 and 2025, aiming to identify overarching patterns, quantitative effects, and moderating variables that influence the relationship between social media addiction and academic achievement. The synthesis reveals a negative correlation of moderate strength (r = -0.32), indicating that higher levels of social media addiction are associated with lower academic performance among students and university learners. However, the effect size varies across cultural contexts, platform types, and individual time-management strategies. Conceptually, these findings reaffirm that social media addiction is not merely a behavioral issue but an epistemic concern that erodes cognitive focus and learning discipline. Therefore, the urgency of digital literacy, reflective learning, and educational policies responsive to media dynamics becomes increasingly vital. This study aspires to contribute a fresh perspective to digital education discourse that is holistic, humanistic, and contextually grounded.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas perkembangan agama dan keberagamaan pada masa anak-anak serta metode penanaman nilai-nilai agama pada anak-anak. Perkembangan fisik dan keagamaan pada masa anak-anak dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan keluarga, masyarakat, dan sekolah. Orang tua memiliki kewajiban untuk memberikan pendidikan agama kepada anak-anak melalui teladan, percakapan, pembiasaan, keteladanan, bermain, demonstrasi, doa, dan ibadah. Metode pelatihan latihan, motivasi, dan pengawasan efektif juga diperlukan untuk membentengi anak dari pengaruh negatif. Penanaman nilai-nilai agama pada anak-anak dapat dilakukan melalui metode percakapan, pembiasaan, keteladanan, bermain, demonstrasi, pelatihan latihan, motivasi, dan pengawasan efektif.

Abstract

Instagram has become a strategic communication platform in the K-pop industry to build an emotional connection between idols and fans. This study analyzes the digital communication strategies implemented by YG Entertainment and BELIFT LAB in managing Treasure and Enhypen's Instagram accounts, as well as their impact on idol image and fan loyalty. Using a qualitative approach with a comparative case study design, this study observed the content and interactions in both accounts during the period October 2024 to January 2025. Data collection techniques include digital content analysis and passive participatory observation of Instagram's posts, comments, live sessions, and interactive features. The results showed that YG Entertainment applied a mystery marketing strategy with a selective approach that created an aspirational image and exclusivity value, while BELIFT LAB used a transparency strategy with frequent interactions that built perceived intimacy and friendship-based parasocial relationships. Both strategies are effective in converting online engagement into offline support in the form of album purchases and concert tickets, as well as forming a solid fan community. However, there are challenges in creating balanced two-way communication, managing diverse global fandom, and long-term sustainability. This research contributes to the understanding of the dynamics of digital communication in the contemporary entertainment industry.
