Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of occupational safety arid health to employee performance partially and with job satisfaction as a moderating variable at PT PLN (Persero) North Sumatra Generation Main Unit Associative research design with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was 155 people, the sampling technique was using the Slovin formula as many as 112 respondents with probability sampling, namely random sampling The analysis technique used is simple linear regression and MRA.Based on the results of the research conducted, it shows that the variables of the application of occupational safety and health have a positive and significant effect on employee performance variables, Job satisfaction does not prove significant in moderating the variables of the application of occupational safety and health to employee performance variables.

Abstract

This research was done at PT.Asuransi Jiwasraya North Sumatra with the aim of knowing the effected of reward, punishment and workload on employee work productivity. The population were 128 employees who worked in the company, sampling with saturated samples so that the sample size were 128 respondents. Sources of data using primary data and secondary data and data collection techniques using survey by providing questionnaire. The data analysis technique used data quality test, classic assumption test, and hypothesis test.Based on the results of the study showed that partially reward have significant effected toward employee work productivity, punishment did not have significant effected toward employee work productivity. While workload has significant effect toward employee work productivity at PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) North Sumatra. Simultaneously reward, punishment and workload together have significant effected toward employee work productivity at PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) North Sumatra. Reward, payment, and workload have moderate correlation with employee work productivity in the company. While the adjusted R2 value = 0.160, meaning that employee work productivity could be explained by reward, payment, and workload amount 16% and the other 84% could be explained by other variables outside the scope of the research that was not carried out.

Abstract

This study aims to analyzed the effected of mediating career development in the effected of training toward on employee performance at Dinas Koperasi dan UKM. This research was conducted at Dinas Koperasi dan UKM. In this study the population were employees who worked in Dinas Kiperasi dan UKM which consists of 7 divisions with a total of 165 employees, the sample was taken using a census sample so that the total sample was 165 respondents. Sources of data using primary data with data collection techniques, namely questionnaires. The data analysis technique used path analysis test, data validity and quality test, classical assumption test and hypothesis test. Based on the results of the study, it showed that partially training has significant effected toward career development, training has significant effectedtoward employee performance, and career development has significant effectedtoward employee performance in Dinas Koperasi dan UKM. Simultaneously, training and career development together have significant effectedtoward employee performance, career development mediated the effected of training toward employee performance in Dinas Koperasi dan UKM

Abstract

Given the communication concerning organizational effectiveness, a company that wants to continue to grow must make various efforts to realize what the company wants, therefore it is necessary to establish effective communication. In realizing an effective company is not an easy problem, the company will encounter various challenges. Solving these challenges depends on how the company is able to provide the right solutions to the problems encountered.The results of this study indicate that upward communication has a positive and significant influence on organizational effectiveness at PT Pertamina (Persero) Retail Kota Medan. Horizontal communication has a positive and significant influence on organizational effectiveness at PT Pertamina (Persero) Retail Medan City. In the simultaneous test or simultaneous test, the ability of independent variables (upward communication and horizontal communication) has a simultaneous effect on the dependent variable, namely the organizational effectiveness of PT Pertamina (Persero) Retail Medan City. This study aims to determine the effect of upward communication and horizontal communication on organizational effectiveness at PT Pertamina (Persero) Retail Kota Medan. The population in this study were all employees who worked at PT Pertamina (Persero) Retail Medan City as many as 120 people, all members of the population were used as research samples as many as 120 people.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of organizational commitment on turnover intention through job satisfaction as a mediating variable at PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk Medan Branch Office. Path analysis research design is used as an analytical tool to determine the direction of the variables studied and to justify how significant the influence of the independent and dependent variables is through the mediating variable. In this study using an associative method with a quantitative approach. The total population in this research is 172 employees and a sample of 120 employees at PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk Medan Branch Office.The results of this study indicate that the variable organizational commitment has a significant effect on job satisfaction. Organizational commitment does not have a significant effect on turnover intention. Job satisfaction does not have a significant effect on turnover intention. Organizational commitment has a significant negative effect on turnover intention through job satisfaction as a mediating variable.

Abstract

The company's success in achieving its goals can be seen by the presence of high work performance. The main thing that companies need is the role of a leader who is able to apply good leadership to build relationships and collaboration in every element of the company. This research was conducted at Kembali Villas with the aim of knowing the leadership style applied and its role in improving work performance. Research using qualitative methods with observation and interviews. One of the fundamental factors is leadership style, a leader must first get to know the employees before applying his leadership style. The result of the research is that the leadership style used by Kembali villas is a democratic leadership style, it can be seen that the leader always provides an open opportunity for employees to provide opinions and solutions regarding the conditions of Kembali villas. This leadership style is able to improve the work performance of the employees of Kembali Villas.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the growth of Emerald Garden Medan hotel which began to decline. This causes hotels in the city of Medan to be able to develop offerings in various aspects in order to increase hotel visits and provide optimal satisfaction for consumers. One of the conditions for a hotel to be successful in future competition is to strive to achieve its goals by creating and retaining customers. The role of hotels as a suggestion is to meet consumer needs is becoming increasingly important to society. This study aimed to test whether service quality, emotional value has an effect on customer satisfaction either partially or simultaneously at the Emerald Garden Medan Hotel. The population in this study amounted to 100 respondents with the sampling technique of Accidental Sampling. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that service quality had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction at Emerald Garden Hotel Medan, emotional value had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction at Emerald Garden Hotel Medan. Service quality and emotional value have a positive and significant effect simultaneously on customer satisfaction at Emerald Garden Hotel Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the physical work environment has a direct effect on employee performance at PTPN III Medan. Does the physical work environment affect employee performance through job satisfaction at PTPN III Medan. Does the non-physical work environment have a direct effect on employee performance at PTPN III Medan. Does the non-physical work environment affect employee performance through job satisfaction at PTPN III Medan. The population in this study was 310 people and 175 samples were taken using the Slovin method. The analysis technique used is Path Analysis. The results showed that the physical work environment had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction at PTPN III Medan. Non-physical work environment has a positive and significant significant effect on job satisfaction at PTPN III Medan. Physical work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PTPN III Medan. Non-physical work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PTPN III Medan. Job satisfaction has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance at PTPN III Medan. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant direct effect between the physical work environment on employee performance at PTPN III Medan. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant direct effect between non-physical work environments on employee performance at PTPN III Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the attractiveness of advertisements and the intensity of ad serving partially affect the brand image. To determine whether the attractiveness of advertisements, the intensity of ad serving and brand image partially influence the purchasing decisions of consumers. This is to find out whether the brand image mediates the relationship between the attractiveness of advertisements and the intensity of advertising on the purchasing decisions of consumers. The total population in this study was 260 people, and by using the Non Probability Sampling technique used, namely by using the purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is path analysis. The results showed that the attractiveness of advertising had a significant effect on brand image, the intensity of ad serving had no significant effect on brand image, the attractiveness of advertisements had a significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions, the intensity of ad serving had a significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions for Lifebouy soap products, brand image. There is no significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions, there is no significant effect on the attractiveness of advertising on consumer purchasing decisions through brand image and there is no significant effect on the intensity of ad serving on consumer purchasing decisions for Lifebouy soap products through brand image.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation, educational level and individual characteristics on the work performance of employees of PT. Astra Internasional Tbk. – Toyota Sales Operation AUTO 2000 Cabang Sisingamangaraja Medan either partially or simultaneously. The population in this study amounted to 317 people, and using the Slovin formula obtained a sample of 104 people. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the style of compensation had a positive and significant effect on the work performance of the employees of PT. Astra Internasional Tbk. – Toyota Sales Operation AUTO 2000 Cabang Sisingamangaraja Medan. The level of education has a positive and significant effect on the work performance of employees at PT. Astra Internasional Tbk. – Toyota Sales Operation AUTO 2000 Cabang Sisingamangaraja Medan. Individual characteristics have no effect on employee performance at PT. Astra Internasional Tbk. – Toyota Sales Operation AUTO 2000 Cabang Sisingamangaraja Medan. Compensation, educational level and individual characteristics have a positive and significant effect on employee work performance at PT.
