Indonesian Journal of Engagement, Community Services, Empowerment and Development is a peer-refereed open-access National journal which has been established for the dissemination of Community Services in the field of Engagement, Empowerment and Development in the City. Starting from 2021, IJECSED would be published Three times in a year. All submitted manuscripts will be initially reviewed by editors and are then evaluated by a minimum of Two Reviewers through the double-blind review process. This is to ensure the quality of the published manuscripts in the journal. Indonesian Journal of Engagement, Community Services, Empowerment and Development aims to disseminate the results of conceptual thinking and ideas, especially the results of educational research and technology to be realized in the community, including (1) Fields of science, applied, social, economic, cultural, health, ICT development, and administrative services, (2) Training and improvement in the results of educational, agricultural, information and communication, and religious technology (3) Teaching and empowering communities and communities of students, youth, youth and community organizations on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

The need of knowledge and mastery of Information technology is needed to improve the quality of Human Resources along with the increasingly rapid advances in information technology. The lack of skills in operating ICT, in this case, Ms.Office and Google facilities among GKI Pniel Kotaraja Youth and Women, has encouraged the education sector. The implementation method used is analysis, preparation, and implementation. This computer training activity was carried out for three days. At the beginning of the activity, a pretest was distributed to measure participants' understanding of operating Ms. Office and Google. Monitoring and evaluation are carried out by giving pre-tests and post-tests to measure the extent to which participants understand and master the material. The results of this training were that 72.77% had been able to improve their competency in operating Ms. Office and Google

Abstract

Painting on walls is the final stage process after sprinkling and plastering on the walls. Painting on the walls functions as beauty in a building. In addition to functioning as an aesthetic beauty, painting on the wall can also be used as wall protection from rain splashes and direct sunlight that can shorten the life of the wall. First prepare the tools and materials used for painting the walls. Supervision is required so that the work or painting is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works on The Maintenance and Maintenance of Building Buildings No. 24/PRT/M/2008. After the painting process is complete, the painting results need to be evaluated/reviewed to ensure that all parts of the wall are painted neatly and cleanly. If a wall is found with uneven paint, it is necessary to repaint the section until the result is neat and even. Furthermore, if you are sure that all the walls are painted neatly and cleanly, then it is only a matter of time before the paint dries. The type and quality of wall paint used is prioritized for domestic production in accordance with the Joint Decree of the Minister of Trade and Cooperatives, Minister of Industry & Menpen. No. 472/Kop/XII/80, No. 813/Menpen/1980, No.  64/Menpen/1980, December 23, 1980. special methods before painting, one of which is the sanding process on the walls from the remaining cement from the results of sprinkling, so that during the painting process a smooth and even wall surface is obtained

Abstract

The mosque is one of the important elements in the structure of Islamic society. The mosque for Muslims has a great meaning in life, both physical and spiritual meaning. The mosque is used as a place of worship for Muslims to perform prayers. In the activities or implementation of prayer it is very obligatory to perform ablution and of course the place of worship must be kept clean. Of course, in terms of the cleanliness of the mosque, there are still many that are not clean, from the cleanliness of fans, air conditioners, floors, ceilings, mirrors and the surrounding yard. Especially in places where the cleanliness of the mosque is still not paid attention to, this condition is a concern for the local community so that the cleanliness of the mosque is maintained while carrying out prayers. Abstract

Real Work Lecture (KKN) is one form of student service to the community and is one part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. We, students of Electrical Engineering, Mpu Tantular University, Jakarta, held this Real Work Lecture (KKN) which is expected to help the community in solving problems faced in the Neighborhood Community (Rukun Tetangga) 007 / 015 area, Cipinang Muara sub-district, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta City. In addition, it is hoped that we can gain experience in how to socialize with the community, also as a social person and have good character when engaging in serving the community. The work program plan that we carry out is the maintenance of Electrical Installations, CCTV and Air Conditioners. The result is that we repair the electrical installation by repairing cable connections that are not neat and are considered unsafe. Then we also carry out CCTV maintenance by making repairs so that it is hoped that CCTV can function normally by replacing the damaged power supply. Finally, we carry out maintenance of the Air Conditioner by cleaning the components of the AC so that they function normally with maximum cold air

Abstract

Mosque loudspeakers or mosque speakers are an electronic device used to increase the sound intensity in mosques. Usually, each mosque has two loudspeaker systems, namely inside and outside. External loudspeakers are generally used for adhan and iqomah, while for others such as prayers, lectures and tadarus only use internal speakers. However, in several areas, a number of mosques, regardless of their neighbors who live nearby, also use their external loudspeakers for various activities other than the call to prayer and iqomah, which creates problems in society. Scientists, including those from Harvard University, found that besides causing hearing loss, noise pollution can also reduce intelligence, memory, mental health, lead to cardiovascular disorders (heart disease and stroke), type 2 diabetes mellitus, etc

Abstract

The cooling system (AC) nowadays is included in the category of basic needs, especially for tropical climate areas such as Jakarta and many other areas in Indonesia. The use of AC provides many benefits for human life, namely providing comfort during work activities thereby increasing productivity and maintaining the health of the human body. One type of AC cooler that is often used by the public is the Split wall (non-inverter) type AC because it has several advantages, including the price is cheaper and the installation is quite easy. Like most other electronic products, the air conditioner must also be maintained regularly, according to product guidelines and usage time levels, so that the air conditioner can work optimally without problems and extend the life of the air conditioner

Abstract

In Indonesia, there are still people who consider social insurance as something less important and feel a loss if they participate in social insurance. This is caused by the lack of literacy carried out by the government. Therefore, as a university in the field of insurance, it is necessary to carry out literacy to the community through community service. Community service in the form of social insurance literacy with performances that will be held in May-July 2022. Activities will be carried out in the form of performances by making animated videos about social insurance which include: BPJS Health, BPJS Employment and Jasa Raharja. The results of the activity evaluation showed that the level of filling out quizzes, likes and watching on the Indonesian Insurance Literacy YouTube channel, the highest for filling out the quiz was on the BPJS Health literacy material as many as 12 people, for the highest watching the YouTube channel on the Jasa Raharja material as many as 40 people while for likes had the same value as much as 3 likes

Abstract

This activity aims to provide knowledge and understanding of financial literacy through saving, to foster an interest in saving from an early age so that children get used to saving, as well as to provide examples of how to make piggy bank creations from bamboo. This activity was carried out in the tongkonan using the method of delivering socialization material then carrying out questions and answers, quizzes, and creatively making piggy banks from bamboo. From observations made in the field it was found that there was a lack of attention from parents in guiding children to learn to save from an early age. The results of this activity show change that have occurred in children such as children becoming interested in saving and some of them have started saving

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) is to educate about the science of digital-based entrepreneurial management, the creative economy of MSME actors. In the post-pandemic period, many problems are faced by the micro-scale community, especially business actors, it is still difficult to market their products and capital, seeing these problems it is necessary to have this PKM activity, with steps that entrepreneurship can take to empower business actors in the pattern of development. Creative Economy based on digital marketing. The method used is a qualitative data analysis method and a data collection tool with training and interviews. This community service is an effort to manage entrepreneurship (entrepreneurship) for micro-scale businesses based on digital creative economy. Digitization by means of independence and registration of business entities, while economic digitization can be achieved by participating in offline training, doing online marketing on digital applications, obtaining online business success tips through digital marketing media.In this community service by conducting comprehensive training and socialization to the wider community to all corners of the village or sub-district about the ease of online business for MSME Creative Economy business actors, business actors are always active in programs from both the government and the private sector to support increased income for the community. the community, especially MSME Creative Economy business actors, to immediately switch to social media or digitization consistently to optimize facilities in the pattern of creative economy development. Thus, the Social Piety Index will be realized from community entrepreneurship in the Mekarjaya Village, Sukmajaya, Depok City
