Abstract

Stunting, or chronic malnutrition in children, is a serious health problem in Indonesia. According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2020, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia reached 27.7%. This figure indicates that around 9.8 million children in Indonesia suffer from stunting. One functional food group that has an impact on the immune system is omega-3 fatty acids. The highest dietary sources of omega-3 fatty acids are usually obtained from marine animal sources such as salmon. However, not only marine animal sources, plant sources also contain high levels of omega-3 fatty acids such as plant sources from the Sacha Inchi plant (Plukenetia volubilis L.). The problem is Sacha Inchi is not a familiar crop commodity for farmers. Most farmers grow more common crops such as rice, corn, peanuts, and some vegetables. An optimal and reliable empowerment method or approach is needed to encourage farmers to contribute to reducing the incidence of stunting in Indonesia. Therefore, farmer empowerment in growing Sacha Inchi is necessary to contribute to efforts to reduce stunting rates in Indonesia, including in the Penggung Village of Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency, East Java. This study shows that farmer empowerment using Micro, Mezzo, and Macro levels carried out in Penggung Village of Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency, East Java can be considered successful. The main driving factor for success is the support of the village officials to support the program. Meanwhile, the obstacles come from the low quality of human resources and unpredictable weather

Abstract

Seeing the livestock population in the Nabire district of Papua, it is necessary to prepare the feed properly. Lack of feed during the dry season can be overcome by utilizing the abundance of feed during the rainy season. The strategy is to increase the shelf life of the forage that will be prepared as forage for use in the dry season by preserving the forage. One type of forage preservation is "silage". With the direct practice method of making silage under the guidance of a facilitator from a Lecturer in the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Satya Wiyata Mandala University. Activities are divided into 3 namely Preparation, Work Practice and Closing. From the results of the practice by the participants, it was found that physically (organoleptic) the quality of the silage produced was of relatively good quality because of the smell or aroma, texture, presence of mold and color of the silage as follows: 1. The smell or aroma of the silage smells sweet and sour and is free of bad smell . 2. The texture is crumbly/clear, not mushy, not lumpy and not slimy. 3. Silage is not moldy. 3. The color is greenish (bright) and looks cooked like boiling

Abstract

The social phenomenon in Carenang District, Serang Regency reflects a serious challenge in the form of high levels of juvenile delinquency, particularly among school students, which include student brawls, drug abuse, and free sex. This phenomenon is caused by a lack of understanding of the law and a lack of awareness of the negative impact on health from the consumption of illegal drugs and free sex. In response to this, community service activities have been initiated with the aim of providing education to the community, especially school-age adolescents, through counseling on law and health. Through this approach, the implementation of service activities is able to increase the knowledge and understanding of young people and society in general regarding legal and health aspects. This effort is an important step in responding to social phenomena that impact the younger generation and society in general, helping to increase awareness and quality of life in Carenang District

Abstract

Street name signs are an important means of providing information about the location and names of roads in an area. Unfortunately, in Mekarsari Village, Pulo Merak District, there are no street signposts which makes it difficult for outsiders to find locations in the area. However, there is good news, because the Community Service Team of Bina Bangsa University students and lecturers has planned a solution to overcome this problem by making a special street name sign for Mekarsari Village. The method to be used is direct partner settlement. Making street name signs will include 6 units, with a size of 20 x 40 cm and a height of 165 cm. The sign will have a blue color with white writing, consisting of three parts, namely the name of the street, the name of the village, and the logo of the University of Bina Bangsa (Uniba) as a form of the university's active participation in this program. The street name sign will be installed by implanting it with a casting as deep as 20 cm, so that it is sturdy and durable. Installing a street name sign will provide significant benefits to the community, because it will make it easier for them to find a location in Mekarsari Village. This will have a positive impact on mobility, tourism, as well as the safety and comfort of the public and visitors. With clear and informative street name signs, outsiders will no longer have difficulty finding locations in Mekarsari Village. Everyone will feel more assisted and directed, and this will be a real example of how collaboration between universities and the community can have a positive impact on the progress and welfare of the local area

Abstract

The implementation of community service duties is an obligation required by lecturers together with students. This activity was carried out in Siremen Village, Tanara District. The purpose of this service is to improve the skills and standard of living of the community by producing innovative products from MSMEs. It is expected that innovations in such products will increase their attractiveness and thus, generate greater profits for the business actors. At present, salted eggs sold are generally just marinated duck eggs, so new creations are needed to develop them. The process of making crackers from salted eggs does not require a large investment, but ingenuity and creative ability are needed to increase the value of the product. By conducting training on making crackers from salted eggs, the goal is to hone the creative skills of business actors while increasing their income. In this training, packaging and labeling methods are also taught so that products become more attractive and clean. In addition, the hope is that this salted egg cracker product will access a wider market segment, so that it can become a favorite among the public. Community service activities, in addition to challenging lecturers and students to be more creative and innovative, will also improve the quality and continuity of products in the future
