Abstract

Mimbo Hamlet is one of the hamlets in Jatirejo Village, Lekok District, Pasuruan Regency. As a hamlet located in a coastal area, the natural potential, especially marine products, is very abundant. The majority of people have livelihoods as fishermen and traders in the market. The location of the hamlet which is far from the main access road connecting Pasuruan Regency and other cities makes this area difficult regarding the flow of information. Technological developments and entrepreneurial literacy that are actually needed by the community are very limited. Meanwhile, the community's skills and creativity in managing local potential in Mimbo hamlet are very well developed. Fishermen's marine products so far cannot be enjoyed economically because fishermen are still dependent on middlemen who provide capital in finding fish. Fish catches are purchased at low prices and have to pay for the start-up costs of their business. It is this economic limitation that encourages fishing families, especially housewives, to be creative with the sea catches they get. The community processes unsold fish into fish crackers, fish rengginang and shrimp paste. While other villagers are also trying to make a fortune by selling Arabic coffee, herbal medicine and even other handicrafts, namely creations from shells. Shells are used as the basic material for mosaic crafts, ashtrays, flower pots and accessories. The community even processes local plant products, namely the leaves of the mimbo plant, into herbal medicine which is brewed in the form of tea. It is this limited product and technology marketing literacy that limits them from developing innovative results to a larger market. The people's desire to penetrate markets outside the region is only a dream that has no end. This condition increasingly makes the box that limits them because the location of the area is indeed far from the reach of the general public. Apart from that, no public transportation passes Mimbo Hamlet except for the local people themselves who travel. This situation certainly does not provide broad opportunities for the people of Mimbo Hamlet to progress like other regions. The fighting spirit that coastal areas also have potential cannot be known by many people. Therefore it is very important to provide insight and literacy regarding technology and marketing as well as related regulations, namely related to brands and product licensing. Insight into business financial management is also very necessary so that people can manage business finances to achieve business goals. It is hoped that this increase in insight will allow the community to be independent in developing entrepreneurial opportunities and be able to compete with outsiders. The independence of this community can also support Jatirejo village as a marine tourism village in Pasuruan Regency

Abstract

Information technology today has developed rapidly. The development of information technology is marked by the many uses and utilization of digital-based media in the midst of community life. Apart from the benefits and negative impacts provided by information technology and digital media, information technology also contributes to changing one's behavior, even constructing reality according to the wishes of the newsmaker on the digital media. Furthermore, with the large number of digital media today, the information conveyed is also prone to bias so that it is easy to become hoax news. Based on these conditions, the public is considered necessary to not only know but also understand about media literacy so that it is not easily exposed to hoaxes even unknowingly becoming a hoax spreading society. Samanera and Atthasilani are people in Buddhist religious circles and the term refers to Buddhist monks. Media literacy skills are very important for Samanera and Atthasilani considering the activities carried out related to the implementation of counseling or lectures to the Buddhist community. This community service is packaged in the form of coaching on the importance of media and information literacy for samanera and atthasilani at Padepokan Dhammadipa Arama Batu City, East Java to provide guidance to samanera and atthasilani about the importance of media and information literacy so that it is expected to be able to increase awareness of true and incorrect information and become a society that can make good use of information technology

Abstract

The general objective of carrying out community service activities in Jati Sari Village, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency is to apply the concept of rural bio-energy to farming communities in the region. Utilization of cow dung into biogas through a biogas digester will produce solid and liquid waste which can then be processed into compost/manure. Integration with the cultivation of vegetables and food crops is by utilizing the results of fertilizer from animal manure into the cultivation system. Availability of compost fertilizer can overcome the scarcity of availability and distribution of manufactured fertilizers that currently often occur. Moreover, at the present time, inorganic fertilizers are reduced in price by the government, so that the price of manufactured fertilizers is currently felt by farmers to be more expensive. Provision of compost for farming can help the government reduce subsidies, as well as improve the quality of agricultural products through the application of organic cultivation systems, and can improve the physical and chemical properties of paddy/field soil. Utilization of cattle waste is basically the application of the zero-waste concept in agricultural production systems. A clean environment can support an increase in the level of public health. All of these activities ultimately aim to empower the local farming community so that their economic level and welfare increase, and the establishment of an area (village/district) that applies bio-energy organic cultivation systems and towards food and energy self-sufficiency, as well as the establishment of partnerships between universities, local government, and the community so that the goals of economic development and public health with an environmental perspective can be realized

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the economy of people from various circles. One of the impacts is on the world of education, where the Covid-19 pandemic has reduced the economic conditions of parents of students. Thus, many students are unable to continue their education from high school to college because of financial constraints. For high school students, continuing their education to college is one of the main needs. This is because high school graduates are not equipped with special skills while studying at school, in contrast to vocational graduates. Seeing these conditions, SMA Negeri 2 Denpasar cooperated with IPB International to provide training in the field of pastry and bakery for their students. This field was chosen because currently there are many cake and bakery shops popping up, so it is hoped that the participants who take part in the training can later become one of the actors in the industry. The collaboration between Denpasar 2 Public High School and IPB International will later provide training on making various processed cakes and breads, product packaging, and marketing. The activity will be carried out in four meetings, with a duration of five and four hours in each meeting. The training material will be delivered by IPB International kitchen instructors who have specific skills in the field of cake and bread processing. The output targets that will be achieved through this service are 1) Increasing human resources, 2) scientific articles published in national journals, 3) publication of articles in print media, and 4) activity videos uploaded via the IPB International Youtube channel. The additional output target is the monograph of the results of dedication
