Abstract

During the Covid 19 pandemic, it had a huge impact on all business sectors, including the Jadoel Valley Si Cangkring Market with its main business being traditional culinary tourism destinations. The Covid 19 pandemic also had an impact on decreasing sales turnover because few customers came. However, the opportunity and opportunity for Jadoel Valley Si Cangkring Market to develop business in the tourism sector is still open. This is because there are still a lack of tourist destinations that offer traditional products which can be the main attraction at Jadoel Market. Some of the products offered include: kricak porridge, megono rice, gudeg pecel, jadah tempeh, cucur, gatot, tiwul, wajik, to wiwit rice with shredded chicken as a side dish. Meanwhile, in the drinks section, wedang bajigur, dawet, bandrek, ice jadoel, brewed coffee, sekoteng, wedang uwuh and ginger and lemongrass palm sugar are available. The development of the Jadoel Lembah Si Cangkring Market in the last two years shows that the market or consumer reach is still limited to the community around Tempel sub-district and people who exercise by bicycle (goweser). Apart from that, traders are also still inadequate in serving consumers and are less able to read business opportunities which causes a lack of product innovation offered at each stall. Jadoel Lembah Si Cangkring Market has run promotions both online and offline, but tends to use offline marketing, namely Word of Mouth Marketing (WOMM), because it has limitations in mastering IT in online promotions. As for the results of the training that has been carried out, conclusions can be drawn: Si Cangkring Valley adopts good promotional methods, how to maintain consistency in developing tourist villages, how to maintain cohesion between managers, financial management, and much more. Si Cangkring Valley has great potential to be used as a traditional culinary tourism destination by using a marketing funnel. Lembah Si Cangkring can strengthen its marketing strategy with seven principles, abbreviated as DIGITAL. The principle in question is The Seven Laws which is an acronym for the 7 letters DIGITAL, namely: Differentiate products or services; simplify Ideas; Use creativity; Identify the position of customers or buyers in digital media; Keep what you promised; Align digital marketing strategy with organizational strategy; See what the market demand.

Abstract

Many Indonesian citizens seek opportunities abroad, including becoming Indonesian workers in various countries, notably in South Korea. This phenomenon is further fueled by the global popularity of the Korean wave, attracting both Indonesian workers and students to Korea. With a significant proportion of Indonesia's population falling within the productive age range (15-64 years), there is a growing demand for diverse job opportunities. The recent boom in startup businesses, driven by technological advancements and government support, has provided a promising avenue for addressing these economic challenges. South Korea, known for its rapid technological development, offers an ideal environment for Indonesian workers in Korea to venture into startups. However, navigating the complexities of the Korean startup landscape, including fierce competition and intricate regulations, presents its own set of challenges. Building a robust network, understanding local regulations, and focusing on effective management and financial planning are essential for success. This community service initiative, conducted by IBI Kosgoro 1957 and the Indonesian Ambassador in Korea in collaboration with Kaya University and Busan University, aims to enhance the knowledge of Indonesian workers in Korea in the areas of startup business development, management, and finance. Through interactive seminars, discussions, and ongoing evaluations, this initiative seeks to empower Indonesian workers with the skills and insights needed to thrive in the competitive Korean market. The results and discussions from this initiative emphasize the importance of effective marketing strategies tailored to the Korean market, the significance of financial management in startup success, and the potential for Indonesian workers in Korea to build successful businesses by leveraging their unique experiences and networks. In conclusion, developing startup businesses in South Korea as Indonesian workers entails thorough market research, strong business planning, capable management teams, sound financial management, tailored marketing strategies, and adaptability. By effectively implementing these factors, Indonesian workers in Korea can enhance their prospects of establishing and growing successful startups in a competitive environment.

Abstract

This community service carries the theme of entrepreneurship and cultural collaboration, which aims to improve the quality of universities. Universities act as centers of academic learning and as agents of positive transformation and foster an entrepreneurial mindset among their students. This activity was carried out by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Syiah Kuala, in collaboration with the Graduate School of Business, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Using Service Learning (SL) and Partnership/Collaboration methods, this program combines entrepreneurship and cultural collaboration, providing a holistic approach to university engagement. Abstract

Accumulation of waste can cause environmental quality to decline, the emergence of unpleasant odors and pollution of land and water. Apart from that, plastic waste that is not thrown away in the trash can cause it to be thrown into the sea, as it happens in the sea surrounding Ternate Island. The waste management system must be carried out comprehensively, among the central government, regional government and the community, for example by establishing a digital waste house based on community empowerment activities. The aim of this activity is to improve community behavior in sorting waste at the household level so that the volume of waste reaching the landfill is reduced. Apart from that, it can increase people's knowledge and skills in managing waste businesses through the establishment of digital-based waste houses. The next goal is to improve community skills in processing inorganic waste and plastic waste as well as processing organic waste into compost fertilizer and various ecoenzyme derivative products. It is hoped that the results of the activity can initiate the formation of community entrepreneurship based on processed waste products to support circular economic activities. Activities were carried out from July to September 2023 located in Akehuda Village, Ternate City. The implementation method was  socialization of waste management through counseling and at the same time assistance in processing waste. Apart from that, community empowerment was carried out by establishing a digital-based waste house. The results of the activity show that the partners already have a digital-based waste house, partner members were able to manage the waste processing business from the Marasai digital waste house, partner members have the knowledge and skills to process waste. In order to increase public interest and participation in processing waste, it is necessary to continue to carry out socialization about waste processing.
