Abstract

Improving human resource quality is a fundamental requirement for organizations in today's global era. Organizations are challenged to continuously enhance employee abilities, both in terms of talent and knowledge, to create employees with the necessary competencies. This study aims to explain the influence of talent management and competencies on diplomat performance, focusing on economic diplomacy missions within a government institution. The research adopts a quantitative approach with descriptive and inferential statistical design. The study was conducted at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The independent variables are talent management and competencies, while the dependent variable is diplomat performance. The population includes all diplomats serving at Indonesian overseas missions, with a sample of 87 respondents. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of Smart PLS version 3.7.7. The results show that talent management and competencies positively and significantly influence diplomat performance. Competencies have a more dominant influence on diplomat performance in economic diplomacy missions than talent management.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of work stress and the mediating role of job satisfaction on employee turnover intention at the Anumana Ubud Hotel. This study involved 98 respondents selected using the total sampling method. Data was collected via a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using SEM-PLS. Hypothesis testing was carried out with a one-sided t-test. The research results show that work stress has a significant positive influence on turnover intention, as well as a significant negative influence on employee job satisfaction. Apart from that, job satisfaction has a significant negative effect on turnover intention. Job satisfaction acts as a partial mediator in the relationship between job stress and turnover intention. Abstract

This research uses a saturated sampling technique. Saturated sampling is a sample selection technique when all members of the population are used as samples. The types of data used are quantitative and qualitative data. The data analysis technique used in this research is the multiple linear regression analysis method, carried out using the SPSS program. The results of this research show that transformational leadership has a positive effect on employee performance. Work life balance has a positive effect on employee performance. Communication has a positive effect on employee performance. Transformational leadership, work life balance, and communication simultaneously influence employee performance. This means that the better the implementation of transformational leadership in the company, accompanied by a good work life balance, and the company has good communication between colleagues and superiors, the more employee performance will be able to improve. Suggestions for further research are recommended to look for larger companies with a wider range of respondents so that they can provide a more real picture of what is happening in the field and future researchers are expected to use different variables or add independent variables that can influence employee performance such as work environment and organizational culture.

Abstract

There is an increase and decrease in regional income experienced by West Kalimantan. The focus of this research is to analyze the impact of Regional Original Income and Capital Expenditure on the financial performance of the West Kalimantan regional government. Income serves as an indicator of regional financial capability, while capital expenditure measures the effectiveness of capital expenditure from fund allocation for infrastructure. Through multiple linear regression method, this research will reveal the extent to which these two factors affect the government's financial performance, providing insights for fiscal policy and regional financial management. The independent variables are Regional Original Income and Capital Expenditure. Secondary data is obtained from the Regional Financial Statements of the West Kalimantan Provincial Government. The population is the West Kalimantan Province. Sample selection is conducted using purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 69. The analysis techniques include descriptive statistical tests, classical assumptions, model accuracy, and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 26. The research findings indicate that there is a positive influence on the government's financial performance by Regional Original Income. Government's financial performance is not affected by Capital Expenditure.

Abstract

Currently, many married women continue to perform their roles as housewives while also working. Being a working housewife is a suitable choice due to various factors, especially economic ones. There are many jobs that allow housewives to manage their time and responsibilities at home. This study aims to identify differences in stress levels between working and non-working housewives, as well as preventive measures to avoid depression that could impact the role of the mother at home. The focus of the research is on housewives aged 23 to 50, both working and non-working. This study uses a quantitative method with Multi Stage Random Sampling technique. A total of 40 samples were divided into two groups: non-working housewives and working housewives. The results showed that most items were rated very well by respondents, with some items showing strong positive or negative tendencies. Skewness analysis and percentage index provided additional insights into the validity and reliability of each item.

Abstract

Income inequality occurs across all regions of Indonesia, both in urban and rural areas. This phenomenon exacerbates poverty, making the poor even poorer. This study focuses on the island of Sumatra, which still has many underdeveloped regions. The method used in this research is Decomposition Regression, aiming to prove whether there is indeed per capita income inequality in Sumatra. The data analyzed includes various economic indicators from all provinces in Sumatra, including Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and income distribution. The research results show significant per capita income inequality in Sumatra. This inequality is primarily caused by substantial differences in GRDP between urban and rural areas as well as between cities and regencies. The study found that regions with high GRDP tend to experience faster welfare improvement compared to regions with low GRDP. These findings indicate the need for more equitable economic policies to reduce income inequality and improve welfare throughout Sumatra. The study also highlights the importance of investing in infrastructure and education in underdeveloped areas to support more inclusive and sustainable economic growth. This research underscores the critical need for targeted development efforts to bridge the economic gap and promote balanced regional development.

Various attractions, facilities, access, and community in a tourist destination are one of the tourist attractions that can be done. Another choice of tourist activities is the ethno-wellness spa which offers tourist activities by presenting ethnic uniqueness from every tribe in Indonesia in a spa nuance. The ethno-wellness spa is a tourist activity intended for tourists interested in having an experience of fitness tourism in the metropolitan city of Jakarta. This research aims to increase awareness of travel through ethno-wellness spas in metropolitan Jakarta. The type of research used in this study is qualitative descriptive, where data is taken and described qualitatively using Sugiono’s data triangulation analysis model in data processing. The instruments in this study used interview guides, documentation and collecting data from crowdsourcing. The participants in this study were spa therapists and visitors from five-star hotels in Jakarta. Visitors to five-star hotel spas in the metropolitan city of Jakarta began to know the existence of ethno-wellness spa activities as an alternative to other tourism through creative promotions from its stakeholders. This research contributes to stakeholders in ethno-wellness spa as a reference to maximize awareness of alternative travel activities in this field.
