Abstract

Upgrading the competency of existing trainers has not been implemented well and still seems minimal without using sports science studies and approaches. Setting standards and implementing certification of training and upgrading programs is an important element in developing quality handball coaches. Research Objectives to improve the skills of handball coaches, especially those related to the long-term athlete development approach (LTAD). This study was a group pretest-posttest design—45 participants consisting of 12 athletes and 33 physical education teachers. Participants' demographics and outcomes were summarized using descriptive statistics. Pre and post-tests in each group were assessed using paired t-tests. There was a significant increase in the knowledge and skill of handball, knowledge of the training program, and LTAD. This research concludes that coaches can use a long-term athlete development approach to improve handball athletes' skills.

Abstract

This research aims to make improvements in the long jump test. The repaired components are only in the process of executing the stop starting from the start, support, jump and landing. Usually, the long jump test involves doing the furthest jump and measuring how far the jump is. Test instruments and norms must be used for these athletes to determine the quality of the jumps of Riau Islamic University athletic students. This research method uses research and development methods or research and development. The validation of research and development instruments uses content validation carried out by several experts (expert judgment), including one test and measurement expert and two experts in athletics. Based on the long jump expert instrument test evaluation analysis results, it was declared valid and reliable to be used as research material for athletics students.

Abstract

Knowledge about evaluation has an important role in overcoming various problems in physical education learning. There are various types of program evaluation models used, and therefore, the aim of this research is to explore and review the application of various program evaluation models that have been carried out in the context of physical education learning. The method used in this research is a literature review. Data was collected from three database sources, namely Google Scholar, Garuda Ristekdikti, and Sinta Journal, using the keywords "program evaluation model" and "physical education". The time span of this research covers the period 2018 to 2022. Data search results show as well as 6 articles from Google Scholar, 1 article from Garuda Ristekdikti, and 8 articles from Sinta Journal, so a total of 15 articles will be analyzed. Based on the research results, it appears that the CIPP evaluation model is more popular and is often used to evaluate physical education learning programs, and this evaluation is generally carried out at the secondary school level.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the planning for developing Meranti Bay's bono wave surfing sport. This study was carried out using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and participant documentation. The data analysis is carried out through data analysis, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. Based on the research results and discussion of the focus of the problem in this research, several conclusions can be drawn: Firstly, planning to develop Meranti Bay surfing sports has involved many other related stakeholders. The stages of planning for the development of surfing sports in Bono tourist destinations are 1) preparation of initial needs, 2) study of potential development studies and tourism programs, 3) preparation of human resources, 4) strengthening of institutions, 5) preparation of infrastructure and facilities, 6) Preparation of programs, 7) socialization, 8) implementation and implementation of activities, 9) monitoring and evaluation. Generally, it can be divided into three stages: decision/policy making, planning and implementation processes. The two factors that influence planning for the development of surfing in Bono tourist destinations are human resource factors, environmental factors, potential factors, funding and budget factors.

Abstract

Memanfaatkan permainan, pendidikan gerak, dan aktivitas luar ruangan dalam pendidikan jasmani untuk merangsang pemikiran kritis siswa telah menjadi fokus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak pemasukan permainan olahraga tradisional ke dalam pendidikan Fisik terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan one-group time series. Cluster random sampling digunakan untuk memilih Kelas VI sebagai kelompok eksperimen, yang terdiri dari total 38 siswa. Penilaian keterampilan berpikir kritis melibatkan penggunaan instrumen dengan lima indikator. Penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa integrasi olahraga tradisional ke dalam pendidikan jasmani efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya proses pembelajaran yang dirancang dengan baik selaras dengan tujuan spesifik, mempermudah proses belajar dan perkembangan siswa. Temuan ini menyoroti bagaimana memasukkan permainan olahraga tradisional ke dalam pendidikan fisik dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak-anak.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: (1) the effect of footwork trainers on the agility of badminton athletes in the 10-12 year age group at PB Jati Wetan Kudus. (2) the effect of footwork trainer on VO2max of badminton athletes in the 10-12 year age group at PB Jati Wetan Kudus. The research uses an experimental method with a "One Groups Pretest-Posttest Design" design. The population of this study was male badminton athletes aged 10-12 years from PB Jati Wetan Kudus. The agility instrument uses a shuttle run with a validity of 0.87 and a reliability of 0.93. Meanwhile, to measure VO2max, the multistage fitness test (MFT) is used. The population in this study were 10 PB Jati Wetan badminton players. Data collection techniques in this research used documentation and action tests to measure agility and VO2max. The results of this research using SPSS 24 are correlation and paired samples T-test results for agility (r-count = 0.963 and T-test = 8.481) and VO2max (r-count = 0.877 and T-test = -12.667). Training using a footwork trainer has more influence on agility than VO2max. Thus it can be concluded that the footwork trainer can increase the agility and VO2max of badminton players, especially PB Jati Wetan Kudus athletes.

Abstract

Physical fitness is the ability of a person's body to perform physical activities properly and efficiently. To determine the influence of physical fitness on an attempt to enhance students' concentration in physical education learning at UPTD State Elementary School 2 Kutamanah. The sample in this study amounted to 42 students at UPTD State Elementary School 2 Kutamanah taken using a disproportionate stratified random sampling technique. This study uses a quantitative approach with experimental research methods and pre-experimental design research design with pre-test and post-test design types. The independent variable in this study is physical fitness, while the dependent variable is concentration. In this study, the grid concentration exercise test was used to test concentration. Statistical calculations using SPSS 25 paired sample t-test. The data processing shows that the significance value of (0.00) <0.05, then H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted, which means that physical fitness influences an attempt to enhance student concentration in PE learning at state elementary school 2 Kutamanah. Therefore, physical fitness is crucial for students' concentration, and researchers interested in researching physical fitness are advised to develop it further.

Abstract

This research was conducted because the researchers saw the low level of passing accuracy of the Singa Muda school football players (SSB). This research is a quasi-experimental research method followed by looking at the contribution of variable X to variable Y. The population in this study were 18 Singa Muda Football School (SSB) players using the Purposive Sampling technique. This research was conducted at Rambah Muda DU-SKPD football field with the method of pair passing training using the inside of the foot and taking a kick and holding the ball test. In this study, the data analysis used was the normality test analysis using the Lilliefors method, homogeneity and hypothesis testing using the t test. From the results of the analysis of the hypothesis testing of the measurements carried out on the pre-test and post-test with the same test, namely kicking and holding the ball, statistical calculations were carried out according to the formula used (t test) obtained tcount 3,249 >ttable 1,740, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. These results mean that there is an effect of pair passing exercises using the inner legs on the passing accuracy of Singa Muda Football School Players (SSB). The conclusions in this study are as follows: Paired Passing Exercises Using the Inner Legs have a Significant Effect on the Passing Accuracy of Singa Muda Football School Players (SSB) .

Abstract

This research was motivated by the unknown data or information on the nutritional status and level of physical fitness of lower grade students at North Tambusai 013 State Elementary School. This study aims to determine the level of physical fitness and nutritional status of lower grade students at the North Tambusai 013 State Elementary School. The subjects in this research were lower grade students at North Tambusai 013 State Elementary School aged 7-9 years. This research is descriptive research, in this research the researcher only wants to describe the current situation without conducting hypothesis testing. The population used was 150 students taken by purposive sampling. Because the number of students in the sample is considered to represent the population of lower class students at North Tambusai State Primary School 013. The data collection technique uses the formula BMI=BB/TB2 and physical fitness uses the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) and for data analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis expressed in percentage form. The descriptive analysis formula is p = f/nx 100%. The results of research on the nutritional status of North Tambusai 013 State Elementary School students in this study from 60 sample students obtained a frequency distribution of 19 students included in the thin category (31.66%), 33 students included in the normal category (55%), 6 students included in the obese category (10%), 2 students are included in the obese category (3.34%). Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of the physical fitness of students at the North Tambusai 013 State Primary School showed that the total frequency was 0 students (0.00%) in the very good category, 16 students (27%) in the good category, 19 students (31%) in the poor category, 25 students (42%) were in the medium category, and 0 students (0.00%) were in the very poor category. The highest frequency is in the medium category.

Abstract

Background: Elementary school students gross motor skills and physical activity are crucial in shaping healthy lifestyles and children's physical development. Purpose: To describe gross motor skills and physical activity and ascertain the relationship between these variables. Methods: The research design employed in this study is an analytical observational approach utilizing a cross-sectional method. It involved 128 students selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used were (1) a gross motor skills assessment tool with a CVR value of 1, construct validity of 1, and reliability tested via test-retest method yielding α=0.708, and (2) the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children (PAQ-C) with a reliability test result of α=0.84. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive techniques with percentages and Pearson correlation tests. Results: There is a significant relationship between gross motor skills and physical activity variables. The value of (p) is 0.000 < 0.05. The correlation coefficient (r) of 0.682 > 0.176 indicates a strong relationship between the two variables. Conclusion: This study elucidates a significant relationship between gross motor skills and physical activity among elementary school students Implications: These findings provide an essential impetus for teachers and parents to enhance their attention to children's physical fitness. Intervention measures targeting the enhancement of physical activity and the development of gross motor skills should be prioritized.
