Abstract

The technology designed to assist human life has undergone rapid development, but on the flip side, it has led to the emergence of a sedentary lifestyle (lack of physical activity). Sedentary behaviour is prevalent among teenagers who prefer playing with gadgets, lying down, and watching television. Engaging in sedentary behaviour for more than 5 hours a day can result in various dangerous health issues, including obesity. Therefore, teenagers must increase physical activities that support their overall health. A study was conducted to explore the passive profile of students aged 12-15 years at Pangudi Luhur Junior High School in Salatiga. The research employed a quantitative method with simple random sampling. The total population of the study was 223, and the sample size obtained using the Slovin formula was 143 students. Data were collected by completing the Adolescent Sedentary Questionnaire (ASAQ) by 150 students at SMP Pangudi Luhur Salatiga. The research findings indicate that many students engage in Sunday activities, totalling 988 minutes (16 hours and 28 minutes). Additionally, during the week, students spend 1054 minutes (17 hours and 34 minutes) on activities such as watching YouTube and DVDs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of arm muscle strength to serving ability in youth volleyball games in Beneteng sub-district, Sungai Batang sub-district. The method used is the correlation method, namely the correlation analysis technique with product moment statistics. This research used a sample of 15 athletes taken using a sampling technique. The research population was teenagers from Bententeng sub-district, Sungai Batang sub-district. The research sample was 15 people taken with an age limit of 15 years. Data collected in this study used instruments (1) arm muscle strength test, (2) Volleyball Upper Serve Skills test. . Based on the r table obtained for sample 15, the r table is obtained at 0.65. So hypothesis testing can be carried out, namely if the calculated r is greater than the r table then the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Based on the results obtained, it can be seen that the calculated r (0.409) is smaller than the table r (0.412), therefore it can be concluded that there is no relationship between arm muscle strength and upper serve results in male youth volleyball athletes in Benteng Village, Sungai Batang District. While the contribution is 16.72%,

Abstract

This research aims to describe the coaching and training patterns of swimming athletes at Arhesa Swimming Club Bandung. The research method used is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The subjects of this research include management and coaches. Observation, interviews, and document analysis were carried out during data collection. The results of this research are that achievement development has been carried out in a planned and programmed manner, the organizational situation could be better, facilities and infrastructure still need to be improved, and the achievements achieved by athletes so far still need to be exemplary. The study shows that the condition of the club organization could be running better, and the management system needs to be reorganized regularly. The organization's work program needs to be structured due to limited funds and lack of support for facilities and infrastructure. The achievement development program is carried out systematically, regularly, continuously, planned, and programmed with maximum reference to technical training. The existing coaches have good quality, but the number needs to be commensurate with the athletes. The number of training facilities and infrastructure still needs to be improved to meet standards. However, the achievements obtained have been encouraging at the local and regional levels. The Arhesa Club is recommended to strengthen and develop organizational systems and coaching patterns to achieve the highest achievements. Looking for alternative funds or sponsors to add training equipment to increase athletes' training activity is necessary.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of music in creating ambience/atmosphere in a restaurant environment. The method used is qualitative by interviewing 15 restaurant visitors in the city of Bandung. The results of the study show that the role of music in the restaurant area has a significant influence in building the desired atmosphere or ambience. Restaurant visitors feel happier when visiting places to eat that play music in their area, because this gives a distinct impression to visitors and increases their satisfaction when enjoying food. Music creates a relaxing and engaging atmosphere, making diners feel entertained and at ease. In contrast, a restaurant without music is boring, only focused on food without a unique impression. This research provides a deeper understanding of the importance of the role of music in creating ambience/atmosphere in a restaurant environment. The implications of this research can be used by restaurant owners to improve visitor experience and expand their customer base. In addition, this research can also be a basis for further research in understanding the influence of music in other environmental contexts.
