Abstract

This study aims to improve grade X students' understanding of environmental pollution concepts by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model at Islamic Senior High School Ghozaliyah. Using an experimental design with a quantitative approach, the research employed a One Group Pre-test Post-test Design. The subjects were 30 grade X students at Islamic Senior High School Ghozaliyah. Data were collected through concept understanding tests administered in two phases: pre-test before treatment and post-test after treatment. The data analysis employed descriptive statistical methods to describe the students' learning outcomes and compared pre-test and post-test scores to measure improvement. The results showed an improvement in students' understanding of environmental pollution concepts after implementing the Problem-Based Learning model. This is evident from the lower average pre-test scores compared to the higher post-test scores and the significant improvement in N-Gain. This research is expected to contribute to developing effective learning models to enhance environmental concept understanding in schools.

Abstract

The aim of this research is motivated by low Mathematics scores, especially in the aspect of Calculating Mixed Whole Number Operations. Based on the analysis of the formative tests of Class V students at Public Elementary School 04 Babat Banyuasin, out of 13 students, only 3 students, or 23% achieved completeness, the rest were still below the school's KKM, namely ≥ 75. The method in this research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The aim of the Classroom Action Research that the researchers conducted was to find out how much the use of teaching aids and problem solving methods can increase student motivation as a result of the learning improvements that have been implemented. This research was carried out in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. In cycle I the average score was 77.85 with learning completeness of 62% or out of 13 students only 8 children achieved completeness and 5 children did not. This shows an increase from pre-cycle to Cycle I and according to the researchers, this is not satisfactory. After progressing to the second cycle stage, the average score was 83.23 with 85% completeness, or of the 13 children who achieved completeness, 11 children and 2 children did not complete it. Thus it can be concluded that the use of teaching aids and problem solving methods can increase students' learning motivation.

Abstract

E-learning-based learning innovation has become one of the main solutions in improving student engagement in the digital era. This article aims to explore the various forms of student engagement in e-learning and its impact on learning outcomes. Through the literature review method, it examines relevant studies in the past five years, which show that student engagement can be divided into several categories, including cognitive, emotional, social, and practical engagement. The results show that high engagement in e-learning is positively associated with improved learning outcomes, motivation, and development of students' social skills. In addition, e-learning also promotes learning independence, which is important for future learning. The findings emphasize the importance of designing interactive and engaging e-learning experiences to increase student engagement, thus supporting educational success in the digital era

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the application of the Talaqqi method improves memorization at the Putra Roudhotul Tahfidzil Qur'an Islamic Boarding School. This study uses qualitative research and a case study approach. Data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with 5 informants. Data analysis techniques are done through data reduction, data presentation, then concluding. Checking the validity of the data is done by extending observation, continuous observation, and triangulation. The results of this study include; 1) Learning the Qur'an at the Roudhotul Tahfidzul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School uses the Talaqqi method, technically the students deposit their memorization to the ustadz ba'da maghrib, then the ustadz reads the maqro` memorization that will be memorized by the students and the students listen well, then the students read the maqro` that the ustadz has read bin nadhor. 2) Roudhotul Putra Islamic Boarding School's efforts to maintain the tradition of mutqin Qur'an memorization by forming a Qur'an learning management consisting of Pre tahfidz, and Tahfidz. In dealing with obstacles when students experience broken memories, Roudhotul Tahfidzil Qur`an Putra Islamic Boarding School provides solutions through individual management from ustadz. 3) Students can target memorization achievements; students are accustomed to consistency in murojaah so maintaining the quality of student memorization is prioritized over the quantity of memorization in a period of time.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the process and effect of discovery learning to improve critical thinking skills of Vocational School NU Al-Hidayah students as many as 10 students for test questions and 21 students for the application of learning using the discovery learning model. In this study, the teaching module was prepared using the discovery learning model which consisted of 6 learning syntaxes and was conducted for 2 meetings. The research method used is a pre-experimental design with the type of one-group pretes-posttes design and uses a quantitative research approach. The test instrument was in the form of pretest and posttest description questions to measure students' critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique used is hypothesis testing. However, before testing the hypothesis, the data obtained was first tested for normality. Based on the results of the data normality test with Shapiro-Wilk, the pretest results have a significance value of 0.113 and the posttest results have a significance value of 0.253. The normality test is normal. Based on the paired sample t-test calculation, it shows that the t value is 0.000 with a significance of 0.000. The significance value shows 0.000 < the error rate of 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. Acceptance of Ha means that there is a positive influence on the critical thinking skills of students in class X APHP Vocational School NU Al- Hidayah after applying the paired sample t-test.
