Abstract

Banyak mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam problem-solving karena mereka tidak mengetahui konsep yang mendasari masalah/soal. Pada umumnya mahasiswa menyelesaikan masalah matematika dengan sekedar fokus pada formula/rumus dan menyubtitusikan bilangan ke dalam formula tersebut tanpa memperhatikan prinsip yang relevan maupun strategi yang tepat. Akibatnya, mahasiswa tidak dapat menemukan solusi yang tepat.  Untuk mengatasi hal ini, diberikan scaffolding pada mahasiswa dalam aktivitas problem-solving.  Sehingga, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh tentang bagaimana scaffolding membantu mahasiswa mengatasi kesulitan dalam problem-solving. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan metode design-research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa scaffolding yang diberikan membantu mahasiswa menemukan dan mengaplikasikan konsep/prinsip yang relevan, memfasilitasi mahasiswa melakukan refleksi terhadap strategi penyelesaian, dan mahasiswa dapat menentukan solusi yang tepat melalui tahapan problem-solving.

Abstract

The development of information technology has had a significant influence on various aspects of life, one of which is people's consumption patterns. For people who initially depended on offline markets, digital marketing has become inseparable from people's consumption patterns. Therefore, business actors, especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), should use digital marketing optimally. To help business actors in digital marketing, digital marketing outreach and training activities are a form of community service (abdimas). Partners in this activity are MSMEs in Kalikejambon Village, Tembelang District, Jombang Regency, East Java, consisting of MSMEs making salted eggs, mask artisans, frame artisans, and catfish breeders. Carrying out service activities applies the Community Based Research (CBR) method focusing on socialization and digital marketing training using social media Instagram and the GoFood and Shopee marketplaces. The activity results showed that the movement effectively increased participants' knowledge about digital marketing, features, and how to use social media, Instagram, and marketplaces (GoFood and Shopee) in digital marketing. With this training, MSME players are also helped in technical matters ranging from registration to marketplace management. This socialization and training also change MSME business patterns, namely that stores can be accessed every hour, and the promotional reach is wider at minimal costs. Keywords: Community service, MSMEs, Digital marketing, Marketplace Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah membawa pengaruh signifikan terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan, salah satunya, yaitu pola konsumsi masyarakat. Masyarakat yang pada awalnya tergantung pada pasar offline, kini pemasaran secara digital telah menjadi bagian tidak terpisahkan dari pola konsumsi masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, pelaku usaha, terutama pelaku Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) hendaknya memanfaatkan pemasaran digital secara optimal. Sebagai upaya membantu pelaku usaha dalam pemasaran digital, dilakukan kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pemasaran digital yang merupakan salah satu bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat (abdimas). Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelaku UMKM di Desa Kalikejambon, Kecamatan Tembelang, Kabupaten Jombang, Jawa Timur, yang terdiri dari UMKM pembuat telur asin, pengrajin topeng, pengrajin pigura, dan peternak ikan lele. Pelaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian menerapkan metode Community Based Research (CBR) dengan fokus pada sosialisasi dan pelatihan pemasaran digital menggunakan media sosial Instagram dan marketplace GoFood dan Shopee. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta tentang pemasaran digital, fitur, dan cara menggunakan media sosial Instagram dan marketplace (GoFood dan Shopee) dalam pemasaran digital. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini, pelaku UMKM juga terbantu dalam hal teknis mulai dari pendaftaran sampai pengelolaan marketplace. Sosialisasi dan pelatihan ini juga memberikan perubahan dalam pola bisnis UMKM, yaitu toko dapat diakses setiap jam nya dan jangkauan promosi lebih luas dengan biaya minimal. Abstract

The application of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model in terms of critical thinking skills in the Aqidah Akhlaq subject Material. This research aims to determine the effectiveness and process of implementing the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Model in View of Critical Thinking Ability in the Subject of Aqidah Akhlaq Material: Exemplary Characteristics of Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq Class VIII MTSN 4 Jombang. This application makes it easier for students to understand the material, increases students' experience, improves critical thinking skills, especially in the subject of Aqidah Akhlaq. Critical thinking as a cognitive skill includes activities of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, ability to explain, self regulation. This research method uses the Pre-Experimental Design method with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research data was collected through tests, interviews and documentation. Data was analyzed using quantitative analysis techniques. The results of this research show that there is a comparison of the average student score after using the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model of 76 and before using the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model of 56.00, apart from that it is also proven by calculating the t value of -13,190 with df = 39. The Ttable obtained of the number (n) = 40 with degrees of freedom (df) = n-1 or 40-1 = 39. The results obtained for t table are 2.021, based on the value of this research tcount > t table (-13.190 > 2.021) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the application of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes and students' thinking abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of problem based learning in the material rational inequality in class X MA. This research uses quantitative methods with one-shot case study design. Data collection methods used in this study are tests in the form of pre-test and post-test. The data analysis technique used is the paired sample t-test method. Based on the analysis using SPSS obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 < α = 0.05. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, ie there is a difference between the average pretest results and the average posttest results. so that effective problem based learning is applied in class X MA. Abstract

Nowadays, more and more real-life situations require some level of mathematical understanding. This shows the importance of mathematics in everyday life. One of the mathematical studies that is widely used in everyday life is social arithmetic. However, the practice of social arithmetic teaching has not accommodated these needs, especially for students who are also students in Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren). Considering this, in this study a learning media was developed in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD) to support students' understanding of social arithmetic. The target of this study is students who are also students in Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, LKPD was developed contextually based on Islamic boarding schools’ life situations. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. This study aims to develop contextual worksheets based on Islamic boarding schools on social arithmetic. The results showes that the LKPD developed was valid and practical. The results of implementing the product in the classroom shows that the use of this LKPD supports students' understanding of social arithmetic. The use of LKPD also receives a "good" response by students.

Abstract

Learning mathematics today should be more than just equipping students with understanding concepts, but it should also be used to facilitate students with the ability to apply mathematical-concepts to solve problems from everyday life. The individual's ability to apply mathematical concepts (employ to solve problems from the real world is a part of mathematics-literacy. However, based on the PISA study, a program that evaluates students’ mathematics-literacy around the world, it is known that Indonesian students’ mathematics-literacy is still low compared to students from other countries. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the use of PISA-like mathematics problems at school. PISA-like mathematics problems are built in context and content. One of them is content Change and Relationships. Several previous studies have shown that many Indonesian students have difficulties in solving PISA- like mathematics problems of change and relationships content. Therefore, in this study, we developed PISA- like mathematics problems of content change and relationships for students at SMP/MTs. The product developed is used as a mathematical activity in learning at school as an effort to support students’ mathematics literacy. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. Results of this study show that the product is valid and appropriate to support students' mathematics literacy.

Abstract

With the increasing number of real-life situations that require some level of mathematical understanding, this shows that mathematical concepts have an important role in everyday life. One of the mathematical studies that is widely used in everyday life is geometry. Many objects in everyday life are geometric shapes, including cubes and blocks. However, the practice of learning on cube and block material has not accommodated these needs, that is a learning that accommodates everyday situations experienced by students. Considering this, in this study, learning media was developed in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD) which were arranged using the personal context of students on cube and block material. The target of this research is students of class VIII junior high school (SMP/MTs). This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. This study aims to develop LKPD for Cube and Block Materials Using Personal Context for Students grade VIII. The results show that the LKPD is valid and practical. The results of the product implementation show that the use of this LKPD supports students' understanding on concept of cube and block. The use of LKPD also received a "good" response by students.

Abstract

In order to develop students' mathematical abilities, a learning should not only emphasize mastery of the material, but mathematical activities should also support the development of students' ability to think mathematically. This due to mathematical thinking is important for a student's academic success and is also an ability needed in the role of each individual in society. One of the mathematical activities that support students' mathematical thinking skills is PISA like mathematics problems. One of the mathematical content in PISA is about space and shape. However, several previous studies have shown that many Indonesian students have difficulty in solving PISA like mathematics problems of space and shape content Therefore, in this study, PISA like mathematics problems of space and shape content was developed for students at the SMP/MTs level. The product is used as a mathematical activity in learning at school as an effort to support students' mathematical thinking. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The product trial results show that the product developed is valid and appropriate to support students' mathematical thinking. The final product received a response with "Good" criteria from students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences in the problem solving abilities of students by applying learning with bandicam media based on problem based learning and conventional learning. This type of research was quantitative research. Quantitative Research was a scientific way to obtain data with a specific purpose or use in the form of numbers (scoring). The population in this study were all class VIII MTs Al-Hikmah Klitih. The sample in this study was class VIII MTs Al-Hikmah Klitih which consisted of two classes, namely class A and class B. The instruments used in this study were pre-test and post-test. Based on the results of the independent sample t test, a significant value of 0.002 <0.05 was obtained with a 95% confidence level, which means Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, there was an effect of problem-based learning-based bandicam media to improve students' problem-solving abilities on student learning outcomes in class VIII MTs Al-Hikmah Klitih.

Abstract

Mathematics learning should not only emphasize on computational algorithms, but focus on mathematical-thinking-skills, reasoning and critical-thinking. Mathematical activity that is able to accommodate this, as well as facilitate students to apply mathematical-concepts they have mastered to solve problems from real-life situations, is PISA-like mathematics-problems. This mathematics-problems emphasizes on mathematical literacy. Mathematical literacy is an individual's capacity to formulate, employ, and interpret mathematical solutions obtained into the real-life context provided. However, based on the results of several previous studies, it is known that many students have difficulty working on PISA-like mathematics-problems, one of which is in formulate. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the use of PISA-like mathematics-problems as mathematics learning activity at schools. Thus, in this study, it is developed the PISA-like mathematics-problems on Formulate category. This study employs Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The results of the product trial show that the product developed is valid and gets a response with "Good" criteria from students. In addition, through working on the PISA-like mathematics-problems developed, it helps students understand relationship between mathematics and real-life phenomena. It also demonstrates that mathematical abilities are needed and used in a variety of real-life situations.
